“I use this mostly for writing code, and watching TV/films. At the time I bought this, this was a very good price for a laptop with full HD Screen. Overall really good value, I have had this for about 9 months now, and it seems reliable. Very quiet. I would buy it again.”

“The sleeve is pretty good, although you can't charge the device whilst it is fully in the sleeve. Not a problem though. However, the protective film, as per usual, is awful. Maybe it's me not placing it correctly, but I soon took it off as I couldn't use the tablet with it on, All in all, pleased.”

“I bought an ASUS laptop through the web page. I had a query about the content and so I called the support desk, where the call was answered quickly and accurately, even though the person fielding the call had to ask for assistance. The PC was scheduled to arrive the next day, but they could not specify a time. My disappointment became amazement when it arrived at around 07:00, which was great. Horror of horrors, when I booted up, it had a defective screen. I called the help desk and they were really helpful, guiding me through the RMA process. Once I returned the PC, there was a wait whilst they diagnosed and checked, but they sent a replacement without debate or bureaucratic delay. Bottom line - decent company, helpful staff, very speedy delivery, quick to react to faults, quick to complete and finish. I'd have no problem going back again.”

“I purchased an Acer laptop from Save on laptops and it did not meet my requirements as I found it to be faulty within days of arrival. I was advised that it would need to be returned to be repaired, of which I did. It was then returned to me after a couple of weeks and didn't even get passed the boot up process, so I requested a refund as it wasn't fit for purpose. I was then told that the unit had to be sent back to the repair centre three times before then being sent back for replacement/refund options. I found their customer service to be not very helpful, and at times dismissive. I had lost a lot of work and time dealing with this issue and finally had to let Trading Standards intervene to gain a refund from Save on laptops. Personally I would not use their company again.”

“I had ordered this relatively late at Christmas time after spending hours reviewing various options. Save on Laptops were brilliant. Their customer service section were very helpful. The Laptop arrived within 48hours. When my daughter opened it at Christmas the power cable supplied had a 2 pin power lead unsuitable for the UK. I managed to find a travel adapter & charged it up. The screen also kept freezing when using the internet and the configuration of the keyboard incorrect. I telephoned the customer services after Christmas, they were very helpful without being patronising at all, as the problems were easy to remedy if you are computer literate! I received a new power lead within a few days, I was advised that the problem ref freezing was probably due to my internet speed etc., (which was the case & now remedied) & the keyboard was simply configured for the US as Microsoft OS which simply needed changing to UK in settings. The actual laptop is great, very good value for money, has a good spec for a 12 yr. old gamer, for half the price of others. The components are branded i.e. the graphics card etc., it has the latest windows OS, an excellent memory capacity and a blu- ray DVD player. The only negative is that Norton security, which I had specifically not requested, was preinstalled, this actively prevented the free Microsoft security from working, even after its free trial period had expired. It had to be completely uninstalled, and the laptop reset before I could get MS security to work. Other laptops with a similar spec were several hundred pounds dearer. I hadn't heard of HASWELL so I researched them through the PC review sites and am very happy with my purchase and couldn't fault SAVE on LAPTOPS, which, if I'm honest was a little dubious about as online etc. I would recommend them to anyone.”

“Excellent value for money if only I was able to use it - I have used the laptop on very few occasions in the six months since purchase as the preinstalled Windows 8 (and subsequently 8.1) is very frustrating to make any sense of - so I have gone back to using my old desktop with Windows 7.”

“Graphics - excellent, doesn't struggle with the most demanding games. Sound - again excellent, good bass and overall volume Chassis - susrprisingly doesn't seem to scratch much or get covered in smears and fingerprints. I've had some envious comments about how good it looks, very "stealth fighter". Keyboard - responsive and well lit Storage - perfect, partitioned into 3 and plenty of it. Processor - handles anything with ease Fans (very important) - even while converting video, the two exhausts hardly make a sound. Very, very quiet indeed. Criticisms though - Battery - failed after only 6 months, has to remain plugged in. Only ever reached 87% charge out of the box. Weight - a hefty 5kg or thereabouts but then I knew that before purchasing. ASUS software - ASUS Update keeps popping up if I'm starting a game and, despite my best efforts, I've been unable to shut it down completely. Would I buy one of these again? Definitely. Way better than the previous two overpriced and very noisy Sony Vaios I purchased. Overall”
