“Firstly, the scooter was fantastic. Now the moan. We told the company we wouldn't be landing until after their last 3 hr time slot, so as far as they were concerned, we 'missed' collection. It was a nightmare to reorganise with them but after over an hour they agreed to redeliver the next day which wasn't much good because I needed it immediately. So we had to go the extra expense and hire one from the hotel for 24 hrs. The collection was a little easier I will say. But that little scooter really did a fab job for our holiday, I couldn't be without it”
“We have used Scoot Around for several rentals for myself and my wife over the past year. We have rented in Las Vegas, as well as for several different cruises. This experience was one of the worst by far. We experienced issues with our scooter on the last cruise that we took. We notified the guest services desk on board the ship immediately to make it aware that we were having issues. When we returned to port, we notified the employees at the desk when we returned the scooter. And I also called customer service and reported the problems we had. We were asked to give customer service until March 31, 2023, because they were short-staffed and needed extra time. It is now April 14, 2023, and we never did hear back from anyone regarding the issues that we had. It would be greatly appreciated if I was made to feel important, and not that my issues were not that big of a deal to the company. Extremely disappointed in our last experience.”
“Rented a wheelchair for a cruise and once on the ship, we folded the chair but it wouldn’t unfold. We reported to scoot around as the wheelchair was completely unusable but we never received a response or even a partial refund.”
“Got on the cruise the scooter stopped working, had to call while on the cruise and according to the beeps the scooter needed service. Had to rent a wheel chair from Carnival for the rest of the cruise. It took two weeks to get a refund, but they did not refund the $75 I had to pay Carnival for the wheel chair.”
“We rented last summer while in Disney World. We lost almost 2 days of a week vacation because of (1) mixup in leaving scooter at wrong resort (2) mechanical breakdown. We were extremely disappointed in the fact that we were only compensated $25 for all of our inconvenience.”
“The chair we rented got broken and they couldn’t provide another one because it was on a weekend. Then they told me I would get a refund for the half of the amount I paid (the time I couldn’t use it), but I never got my money back.

“After my scooter broke down, I had no help from Scoot Around. I was lucky I had help from DragonCon volunteer team, to make it start working again. Even after they got it to work, it still had problems. The low battery light would come on, when I turn it on to drive, after I fully charged it. I had called, & was promised a refund, since it wasn't working right for 2 days. Never got that refund. Very unhappy with your service. You need a better system in the future, then making me wait on a hold phone call, when my scooter is broken down,& just sent me to voice-mail, cause you were closed. Unacceptable.”
“The equipment I received was pretty beat up and kept not working. When I got home from my cruise and complained it literally took months to receive my 50% refund!”
“We rented a power chair in Boston. It was a jazzy. Very poor quality. Pulled to the right. We couldn’t use it at all. We asked for a replacement, but they were not able to give us one. We turned it back in. Ended up pushing our adult son in his manual chair all over Boston. A small credit was given. Should have been for our full charge. We will only rent from local rentals from now on.”

“I called the business to get a replacement and was told that none were available. The Scoot Around was too short. The seat didn't move back. When I used the handle that was supposed to swing me to the side my foot would get caught. It didn't matter which side I turned. The entire experience was very dangerous because I had to lift my leg out every time and my foot kept hitting the middle post. The scooter was unacceptable.”
“order several different times, paid in advance, when i got to ship no scooter in room or on ship. tried to call scoot a round, unable to get thru, even purser tried so when i got home, i made contact but they said my complaint too late, so no $00 plus dollars lost to me. i have 4 trips upcoming, might have to get different supplyer if this is the way you treat customers who rent and i also bought scooter from you to.very disappointed in company”
“Scooter never held a charge. Could go to dinner then it died on the way back to the room & needed to be pushed back. Got a wheelchair from ship, & after 3 tries using it left it parked in room. Several people looked at scooter,re connected it to no avail. Once on ship with a dud of machine, stuck with it. Complained afterwards & left note on vehicle so it did not get passed on to another person. WILL NEVER RENt from you again. No refund- no future rental or good comment again.”
