It seems everyone has forgotten to thank you all for continuous electricity and gas through this horrendous time. Most people don't even know what it's like to be without Electricity or gas. I just wanted to say a GIANT THANK YOU SO MUCH TO ALL OF YOU. a very happy customer 😆You all should be recognised same as NHS

Absolutely appalling can’t get in contact with them surprise, surprise !! Seeing the reviews can see why. Or been able to access my online account for last couple of years every time I’ve mentioned it they say it will reset still no access I’m wanting to switch but said they not allowing it so need to contact but impossible surely can’t owe anything seen as though I’m paying £167 a month which is disgusting. Avoid this company and I agree they should be closed I can’t see other emails I get from them in regards to my queries but could quite clearly see a email stating my switch was not accepted with no explanations.

Left without power, waiting since Tuesday for a call back! They keep saying they are dealing with emergencies - clearly not. Vulnerable house hold. Told to go to the supermarket to charge my phone to wait for the call back. Great advice during a pandemic!! Would have given no stars if I could. Absolutely discusting service. They close down the helpline and advise to use online chat. Online chat is shut down. The emergency number puts you through to another area who is unable to help.

My advice - ditch this company as soon as you can! Arranged a date for smart meter installation, but no show. Second time they issued a safety notice saying the meter was not housed safely and did not install, despite a neighbour having a similar housing that was OK! Changing required a £1500 meter move, although SGN deemed the original adequate if not ideal. Made the decision not to allow SP"s contractor back as they were clearly not competent. Since then dozens of calls from SP being told not to call, text or email. Three calls in less than 24hrs last week so changed supplier and SPnow calling to get me to change my mind. No chance!

Don't not even think of using Scottish Power. I can't get my bill sorted after months, they are trying to bill me for imperial and I'm on a metric meter. They say they will ring you back and just don't bother.

My wife and I are in our 70s, and signed up with you because you were (supposedly), the cheapest supplier, and because of limited income felt that it was the best option. However despite meter readings being forwarded, you've increased my 'GUARANTEED' bill for 15 month's from £123 -- too £392. I find this totally unacceptable. After speaking with 'JAMES', I'm still no further clear on how you can change a Guaranteed agreement.

On the whole I can say I have never been in receipt of such a poor customer service experience. You may laugh at this but I have been trying to resolve a complaint from last year, YES last year. I have had numerous phone calls to explain quite a simple situation and still months later we are no where near a conclusion. I have upgraded my complaint to the customer complaints department, who have LOST my scanned in documents. These documents were to prove that I wasn't using the fuel that they accused me of ! I have been bombarded with streams and streams of bills through my letterbox ( yes my address) not the address they claim I owe money for. I am at my wits end and feel tat the only option now is to escalate further. Please I urge you do not chose Scottish Power, you will regret it.

Ditching this shocking company with its dodgy practices, bullying tactics, and high prices was the best decision I've ever made. Instead of appreciating my years of loyalty, I was taken for granted. They probably thought, I was incapable of making the switch. The final straw for me came when I received my last quarterly bill. Instead of the usual arrangement of getting both Electricity and Gas on the same document. This time i got TWO separate documents, One marked Electricity, £350+ And one marked GAS £250+ I was very confused. I knew that this can't possibly be right. £600+ was a huge sum for three months supply. This caused me an awful lot of stress, especially when the amount of energy i used for the corresponding period of last year was almost identical, and was only £300 for BOTH. I phoned customer services to ask for an explanation and was told to ignore the bill marked Gas and just pay the one marked, Electricity £350, as that included both !!!!. There was no indication whatsoever on the Electricity bill to indicate that it also included the Gas. A less stable or an elderly person would've probably been so confused and paid both bills. What a dispicable thing to do. I then asked why they were deliberately trying to confuse me?? I was told these things happen because I don't have a smart meter !!! ((Some thing they have been harassing me to have with letters and phone calls for months)). That so called "explanation" was utter rubbish as far as I was concerned. Then few days later I had a call from a meter fitter to ""confirm My appointment"" for their visit. I told him that I have made NO such "appointment" with any one regarding fitting a meter. It turned out that Scottish Power have made this arrangement behind my back and without my knowledge or agreement to have a meter fitted in my house. That really was the final straw. I immediately started the switching process to a different provider. My advise is: Avoid Scottish Power at all costs. Their underhanded practices, and customer care, absolutely stinks. I will be writting to OFGEM. Regarding my experiences with Scottish Power.

This is the worst energy company I have EVER dealt with. I have recently switched to them from pre payment to direct debit. I have given them meter readings more than once and they still haven’t updated my energy reader. Electricity says No Data and I don’t trust the Gas reading at all. I am monitoring and taking photos. I have had at least 5 different people dealing with my complaint. There is no consistency and even after speaking to agents in the double figures after 11 days, the issue has not be resolved. I have been lied to a good fee times. They keep promising to sort it out, the whole customer service is a MESS. I’ve had enough.

Money is important to them. Customers aren’t. They’re charging me 90 a month for energy for a tiny one bedroom I’m barely ever in. Their answer was a payment plan not realistic pricing. Feel pretty taken advantage of.

Scottish power are the worst compnay i have ever dealt with. I am a pay and go electric customer and have lived in my flat for over 3 months and they still havent refunded me the 'compensation' i was supposed to recieve. This was of £200 due to when i moved in they caused my a hrrendous amount of stress and money to keep my metre out of debt. Turns out the still hadnt registered me as the new tennant after numerous phone calls of setting up a new account and in the end it cost me over £200 within the space of 3 months. I got given a new key with a code to take to my local shop that apparently would reset my metre to £200. However, turns out the code they gave me had £0 which meant my electricity got cut off. When i phoned them back they said they have no record of the code( i eve read the code out to the guy on the phone( and it'll take 2-5 working days for them to get me a new code. So currently had to movve out of my flat and stay with a friend due to scottish power stupidity. Not happy!

There is not enough time or space to explain the endless errors I am still enduring with Scottish Power. The bare details are that I bought a flat in October last year and inherited their service (if you can call it that). Was told to pay £45 a month for fuel (single occupancy/one bedroom) and paid by direct debit. 3 months later they presented me a bill for an additional £670. More than they advised they would charge for a year! Since then endless contact with people saying they had sorted my complaint, but then another email pops up demanding, with threats, other varying amounts of money. I yesterday paid £345 (more than the agreed amended cost by the Complaints department) to only receive another threat demanding more money from me today! I have never endured such a badly run company. Too many departments that don't talk to each other and no one knows what they should be doing. It is a disgrace and this whole matter rumbles on, without resolution. I am composing my letter to Offgem right now. Do not use Scottish Power if you value your sanity!
