I just moved into a 2 bed new build property, on the paper work for the property it says I have really good energy rating. I have now been here 3 weeks and Scottish power have slapped me with a £331 bill for 3 weeks of me being here for both gas and electric. I’m good with electric I turn everything off when it’s not being used and with the gas I only got my gas cooker installed 2 weeks ago and me and my son have showers every other day. I’ve been on the phone today to 3 different people and they have been absolutely useless don’t go to Scottish power in changing soon as possible

I would strongly advice you KEEP AWAY..They will lie from the start.Joined 2 of my bussinesses in January and was promised reduction in 3 months.No reduction was given.After hours and days of conversations I was told I can leave by two seperate members of staff.That was also denied I was told I was misguided. Havnt had my monthly bill for 3 months and have requested it every time. HOW CAN THEY GET AWAY WITH THIS???? I am taking this further..

Recently moved house to find this shower were supplying the property. We decided for ease to continue with Scottish Power, we gave them the initial meter reading on the day we moved in, only to receive a bill for circa £150 after approx 2 weeks. We looked deeper into the bill to find that they are charging us from the last reading they received from the previous occupier. That most definitely is not how it works. We have spoken to them on countless occasions and yet nothing has been done. They are lucky to get 1 star review. If you're unsure about Scottish Power, stay away. We wish we had switched even if it meant paying a bit more. At the very first opportunity we will be leaving this useless outfit.

---5 stars, verify reviews before make an contract with them. Very poor management, very poor customers services. you can get to speak with them only if you want to make a payment or to open an account with them. They don't give a s***t about their customers. They listened to me after I have called them 100 times, and they said will connect me to the right department and hang up all the time. They are rude, someone from customers services has problem with nerves, cannot control, she was yelling and then hang up, very unpleasant. If you have a problem you are not helped by them!! Never again!! I don't recommend.

Recieved emails, texts and a phone call, saying my meter was old, so it was inaccurate and UNSAFE. To then tell the care agent, I'll just take a standard meter replacement, she said "oh, that's OK then, we don't need to do anything"... wait, you just told me my meter was unsafe? "Uh...um...uh...". Wonder how many people they've scared into getting a smart meter. Wonder what else they would do.

The WROST energy company ever in this universal. Impossible to contact via live chat, phone (kept being cut off) or email (never reply). Refund cheque never can receive under the right name but the bill can. It's a criminal gang.

Disgrace. I paid the final bill of £77 for the 2 weeks I lived at the property last year. Now they have magically came up with a new bill 6 months later saying I need to pay £16 more. Multiple times they've threatened me with "final escalations" even though I paid the £77 on time. I have the bank statements and the emails to prove it. £16 has just come out of thin air. I also got the email at 3am in the morning. AVOID the company at all costs, they aren't worth the hassle. Go with Utillita - they're great and never had an issue with them, they also have better and cheaper prices.

Finding another provider. Impossible to contact and charge £200 to a single occupant whose never in. You are criminal and I hope you are investigated and charged for abusing your position.

Scottish Power are in the same wave as scammers. My fiancé is a former customer of theirs from around 10 years, and despite giving her final bill, transferred to another provider, they STILL harass her for payments. The customer assistants are nothing but arrogant, unhelpful in resolving the issue. I'm disappointed and would never trust this company

We sell solar to them as we left them years ago for everything else as they are useless. Spoke to a person calling himself Scott possibly the most ignorant person ive ever spoken too! Tried to complain impossible so am writing to the CEO directly. One of the worst 2 companies ive ever dealt with the other being Thames water.

I have tried to speak to a person called Scott at solar feed in tariffs he was was the most obnoxious, unpleasant person i have ever spoken to i wish to make an official complaint. I spoke to him this morning around 09:25/30 totally unhelpful i wasnt perfect as he went on but how this person is involved in customer services is beyond me. S.G.Holmes

EVERYONE CONTACT THE OMBUDSMAN!! THEY ARE FULLY AWARE OF SCOTTISH POWERS INABILITY TO RUN AS A PROFESSIONAL COMPANY. THEY HAVE HAD ME RUNNING AROUND IN CIRCLES FOR 4 MONTHS TRYING TO GET BACK MY MONEY! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AWFUL. SAVE ALL OF YOUR TRANSCRIPTS FROM THE WEB CHAT. YOU WILL NEED PROOF. YOU CAN RAISE YOUR ISSUE WITH THE OMBUDSMAN 8 WEEKS FROM RAISING YOUR COMPLAINT (OR TRYING TO) AS SP REFUSED TO GIVE ME THE COMPLAINTS DEPARTMENT DETAILS UNTIL MY REFUND HAD BEEN PROCESSED- WHICH IT HASNT. THIS DOESNT MATTER THOUGH AS IT IS SAVED IN MY TRANSCRIPTS FROM WEB CHAT AND I HAVE BEEN ADVISED BY THE OMBUDSMAN THIS IS ENOUGH.

I have cancelled my account gave them the last meter readings and they sent me a goodbye letter. 2weeks later still with them and they connect me to south africa to apparently someone called kassidy most false name I've heard for a contact centre. refused to give me her employee number and last name for solicitors rather than helping keep on about my balance, I asked for ceo and supervisor and got ignore again. Sick of robots if you can't act like a human don't be one.

Not worth one star. Following a telephone conversation with customer service, well actually there is no customer SERVICE! I was left stressed and crying due to their lack of understanding and empathy during this 'cost of living crisis.' They harass and threaten, are judgemental about their customers personal circumstances when told the amount they demand cannot be paid! Scottish power should ensure all staff have the correct training in order to speak/deal with their customers appropriately. Many people are dealing with serious mental health issues or other illnesses and they could be pushing some customers 'over the edge'. Shame on you!!!

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Genuinely wouldn't send my worst enemy to this company. I don't have room to list all the problems I have with them, but the worst being you cannot get hold of them. If you email it says your problem isn't suitable for email and you should call or online chat. Online chat says you are better off sending an email. If you call and follow the directions for customer service it takes you to debt collection who either cannot transfer you, don't know the correct number or say try again and don't press a number, just wait till it rings out. Then if you do get through to customer service (after 5 min of options) they tell you lines are too busy and hang up.

This review is to help other victims or potential victims of Scottish Power (SP). Any issues must first be raised to SP directly, however, based on my experience, they will reply with generic replies or not reply at all. They simply don’t care and are extremely rude, even if copying their CEO (keith.anderson) in the email complaint. SP victims must first obtain a complaint reference before being able to contact Citizens advise (03454040506); only then will SP take the complaint seriously. The Government has requested Citizens Advise to keep an eye on complaints to energy providers and SP are aware of this. SP have been fined heavily by the government, yet they continue to abuse their customers. SP is not a Scottish company, since 2006, Scottish Power has been fully owned by the Spanish multinational energy company Iberdrola, one of the largest utility companies in the world with also very poor reviews. SP are rated one of the worst energy suppliers by “Which?”; please see “Which?” for the most reliable energy supplier. I have been recommended Octopus as “the most reliable”, although anything will be better than SP at this point. I hope this review can help. I never had any issues with any energy company until I became a customer of SP, since then it has been an absolute nightmare with many issues such as being overcharged and a faulty new smart meter. They have punished me for complaining & for keeping photographic evidence for over a month, by raising the tariff and removing my access to view my energy consumption in the phone app.

After getting smart meters fitted in March 2022 I also got solar panels. The gas smart meter wasn't connecting to Scottish Power and the incompetence and willing of the company to try and understand issues is unimaginable. Complaints are ignored and the communication skills of operatives zero. I complied with their SEG conditions yet they do not pay me anything for electricity fed back to the grid. They ignore my emails and complaints and do not correspond. I would gladly pay more for electricity and gas to another company who would appreciate and work with customers. Honestly keep away from this company once I get if I ever do get this sorted out ill be moving my business. Never before as a retired vulnerable customer have I ever been treated so bad

Worst experience ever. Few months ago I upgraded my top up meter to a smart meter getting a new account, and I got nothing but trouble since then. I have a gas account where they did an estimate charging me 4 times my actual consumption, and now 2 months after I left them I am still trying to call them to fix it with no results. The first time they told me that I should fix with my new supplier, and my new supplier should call them and fix. But that is not how it works since it is the old supplier, so Scottish Power, who should give meter reading to my new one. Then I called a second time and they keep passing me from a department to another until the last one did not answer and they told me to call back. All because the smart meter they install me is not communicating. Finally, it often happens that when you try to call the automated machine cut the call off for reason of busy lines without giving chances to speak with someone Last time I tried to call the guy close the call while I was speaking, very rude. In two months they were not able to solve the problem
