If i could leave 0 i would. THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER HAD THE MISFORTUNE OF DEALING WITH. We moved into our first home in december, as expected we recieved a final bill from scottish power for the gas and electricity. I have paid this online however did not realise there were 2 different account numbers, 1 for gas and 1 for electricity so paid both into the same account. I realised my mistake and called straight away and was assured that this would be transferred. I then recieved a letter 2 weeks later stating the bill was outstanding and again called and was assured this would be sorted. 2 days ago i have recieved a threatening letter stating they have escalated this and we now owe even more money. We have again called and was told this was sorted and they would email confirmation, at this point we raised a complaint due to how this has been dealt with. 48hrs have gone by and we have recieved no email confirmation so have again called to be told this is still outstanding and the complaint was closed!!! I asked to be put through to a supervisor and was told they were all busy, asked to be put through to the complaints department and was told they had no direct number even though we had already spoken to them 2 days prior. Honestly the worst company. I would rather pay more money on my monthly bill than have to deal with these clowns ever again. AVOID AT COSTS!!!

I would give 0 if I could. Not even a customer but company rang me and when i said I am not interested in their services the guy boldly called me stupid! When i asked if he really just called me that he confidently said yes you are stupid. What the heck?! Have you got no respect?! You call yourself a professional company?! This is outrageous!!!!

Had the worst experience ever. 2 months after closing my account still keep getting emails with made-up final bills, tens of them, all with different numbers. And when you call them, every time they say something different. Hated the experience. Never again.

Was quoted for duel fuel cancelled within cooling off period but they only cancelled one not both been trying to get it sorted since Nov 19 still no joy and we are in march. Can't get through by phon sent email to CEO that was a ploy just another excuse to kick the complaint down the road whilst not taking any responsibility. AVOID AT ALL COST.

This company is by far the worst power company I’ve ever used, they don’t know what they’re doing after paying them every month for nearly a year and after leaving my payments that never been attached to my account in the span of six weeks. It’s been numerous phone calls and numerous bills swinging wildly going up and down like a yo-yo over £1000 pound range then lying on the phone to pay towards the bills saying they were going to take an agreed amount of money I gave them my card details and they ended up taking 100s more out and emptied my bank account I would never use or recommend them again so please don’t make the mistake I did and go for another company

AVOID! Unless you want to stay on hold for at least an hour every time you call, no matter what option you choose! Spelt my name wrong on bills (called them once after being on hold for 96 minutes, got an apology and was told this would be amended). Get another letter with my name still spelt wrong (spent 56 minutes to get hold of them again to be apologised to again and said that this would be changed) - got a 3rd letter with the wrong name — why bother I just left it. Waited 2 weeks for an electric key - had to go to a shop and get a non supplier key. Got a gas bill for £39 - I live in a studio flat and have been there for a week at that! And the bill had the wrong meter readings on - EVEN though I gave them 2 (one as soon as I moved in and the next the following week). Wonder what happens to the data we give, if they are not storing data correctly, there while data protection should be reviewed. Had a prepay gas meter installed, which they put £10 on until the card arrived, and a week later no card, no heating, and I’m disabled and on the priority register list. I’m on the phone to them now and my call time says 78 minutes (to just ask where my card is!) I’ve changed to Bulb who are cheaper and seem to be a ‘proper’ company, where I’ve not had to phone as many times and when I have have not held for longer than 5 minutes. I’m sitting in the freezing cold, as this company is so incompetent, and this is someone who is on the priority list as disabled - gosh knows what the service is like for others! I’m having to go and stay at relatives until they send me a card!!! A joke company, with such incompetenece. I should have really googled the reviews for the company - 1 STAR!!! 🌟 Please save yourself the stress and go with anyone BUT Scottish Power.

Can I leave less than 1 star? Incompetent idiots is probably too high an accolade for these clowns. On moving house I provided them with the final readings for Gas & Electric.. I got the final bill correctly and was informed a refund of the credit balance on the account would be with me in about 10 days. When the cheque turned up after 3 weeks it was for less than expected. I checked the online account and my final bill with my own readings had been reversed and a new Estimated final bill issued. Needless to say that the new bill was higher than the original correct one. All I could get from their so called helpline was 'your account balance is zero You have had your refund.@ Two months later and it is still not resolved.

The WORST COMPANY EVER! Not only they don't help you solving your problem but also they're rude with you. They sent me 240£ of bill (last time I paid them was before New year) without explaining from when to when is due. It's not the first time they steal money from me, but can someone explain me how is it possible that a sum like that is okay for an 1 bedroom house in 2 months?? Moreover not being home most of the time? They also refused to let me speak to their manager! And they keep avoiding my calls. Unbelievable!! Moreover told them that this is gonna be my last month with them and their answer was: we still gonna keep charging you!?? How rude is that! Unbelievable the worst WORST company ever.

THE WORST COMPANY EVER!!!! not only They are rude with you, but they also lie to make you think they are sorting out the problem and you just have to pay what they send to you, without explaining the bill from when to when is due. I received a bill of 240 pound (last time I paid them was before new year) so basically 240 pound for 1 bedroom house in 2 months ??? and most of the time not being home at all??? this is not the first time they are stealing money from me. I spoke to different people and received different answers. I've been lied to, refused to let me talk to their manager and my problem not being solved. Scottish power is the worst company I have ever dealt with.

Avoid this company! They are so slow at doing anything and they just lie to make you think they are sorting out the problem. 5 months I have been asking for my meter to be registered correctly on the national database. How hard can it be???? I spoke to 6 different people and received 6 different answers. I've been lied to, placed on hold for no one to return, one person wouldn't stop talking and i couldn't get a word in edge ways. One phone call lasted 2 hrs. The most painful 2 hrs of my life. And my problem is still not sorted. Without shadow of a doubt, Scottish power is the worst company I have ever dealt with.

I don’t know where to start. Customer service is diabolical. If you phone them they are useless and depending on who you talk to you get a different answer. If you live chat you get a different answer to problems and omg if you email them you will get more sense out of talking to a brick wall. So angry I better stop writing now.

Wouldn't even recommend them to a housebrick in my back garden 1 star is generous, after 3 months of being fobbed off we are still not further forward in our house move, it's a totally inadequate service when you phone up they say anything to get you off the phone, no customer service skills whatsoever, I highly suggest you really think about it before using Scottish power, you stand more chance of getting somewhere with a baby that haven't even learned to talk yet.

Yet again a very very poor service from SP. I have just gone to the bother of sending in a review but the blurb tells me it all has to be verified through a social media account. I DON'T HAVE ONE! So am I therefore a non-person! As I said in my initial review, if I could give zero star rating I would. I've been dealing with my parents account and as they don't use online accounts I have material sent to my email address. First off, I received duplicates of every communication with them. Secondly, I could not access my parent's account because I could not give a password. So I rang SP to get one sorted out. They said they would email a temporary one. It still hadn't arrived 3 days later. So I rang them again. This time one popped through within 10 minutes - but it did not work. They sent a second one. Eventually I managed to gain access to the account. Once into the account, I can only say it is EXTREMELY badly and un-clearly organised. I had expected to print off a full energy statement, but could not do so. I wish my parents had gone to Octopus, current Which best provider. They are excellent - I use them myself. Clear, friendly, un-fussy. Scottish Power take note and improve. You may be sorting out green energy but just remember you need excellent customer service too. And you don't have it at present.

I'm only giving SP one star because I can't give them zero. I have to deal with them on behalf of my very elderly parents. My parents can't cope with an online only account. SP are determined to dish these out, without any understanding of the difficulties of elderly people. The only option it seems is for elderly folk to stick with the more expensive tarrifs. How fair is that!!! Come off it, we are trying to iron out unfairness in every sphere of life, but the elderly don't count!!First off, SP sent me duplicates of every email (I have had to give my email address to qualify for the online, cheaper, deals). So a load of wasted emails. THEN I found I could not actually access the online info. which is usually available through 'my messages' - a link on the various emails they sent. SO I rang SP. They told me they would send me a temporary password so I could access the account and set my own password. They said it could take up to 24 hours to arrive!! So I waited (all weekend). Nothing materialised. So I rang them again. They said they would send a new temporary password. Eventually one came through - but it didn't work. So I asked for another. Eventually I have got this one to work. What a palaver!! If only mum and dad had agreed to go with the current Which best bet 'Octopus'. I use them and they are superb. Easy to communicate with, easy to send in meter readings and very human. Unlike the SP debacle. The sooner this lot get their business sorted out the better. Talk about confuse a consumer! They take the biscuit.

So last Monday I leave a review telling everyone that SP have objected to my transferring to on 29th Feb as 29th is the last day of my contracts and should have asked to take over on the 1st March SP reply to my review asking me to email them referring to the review and they will sort it. So I email them Two days later I get a fairly illiterate email back off SP telling me that I should really be web-chatting with them not emailing and saying something else about the issue that doesn't make sense grammatically. I have replied asking " what on earth are you trying to say in your email " and two days later again I get an email telling me it is beyond the scope of whoever reads the contactus in box and it has to be elevated to another team (whom hopefully have a GCSE in English between them) I now have FIVE objections for different accounts on my desk off Scottish Power the same thing. I mean, my contracts end on 29 Feb and SP think it is reasonable to object to take overs on the basis the new supplier has asked for a handover on 29 Feb not March 1st THIS IS NOT TREATING CUSTOMERS FAIRLY SCOTTISH POWER.

Will mislead for you to switch and provide incorrect information. When escalating complaint they promise someone will call back, no one does and you have to send a large number emails before you get an answer with “we are very sorry” a member from compliance department will be in contact soon. NO one get in touch and it’s pointless ringing call center as they tell you the same scrip they all advised to say to customer. Switched supplier as was getting absolutely no where with this shocking company. SCOTTISHPOWER TOLD ME that they not always leave notes on their customers account so when you ring they have no record, you will have to explain your self over and over and over again.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life, I made a complaint to them about an issue regarding my energy supply (That they caused) they never listened or took my complaint seriously. I had to get the Ombudsman involved in the end after almost two years of complaining, and when they investigated they found that Scottish Power didn't even make any notes on their system despite the fact I called them a number of times and spoke to a number of personal at Scottish Power. Seriously please, please save yourselfs the stress and money go with a far superior energy company anyone one of them even if they are more expensive, it's worth it!!
