We ordered a sofa that was cheaper than the usual price. The sales assistant tricked us into buying a sofa that looked ok but we were given the wrong information. We weren't given full information about the deposit and it is non returnable and non returnable. Their approach is just buy and we will do the rest. There is nothing they do to change it. Morally bankrupt people, but I suppose to be in a sales job - you have to be like that.

THEY ordered the wrong colour and now will only change it if I pay 25% of the retail price. Arrogant store/area manager who claims his staff never make mistakes. I wish I had just ordered it online and I could have returned it, but now I'm stuck with a suite that doesn't match my décor. ** choose in store and BUY ONLINE**

I purchased a sofa in store before moving into a new house. To be honest, at the time I was quite happy with the service on the day. I was quoted 5 weeks delivery time and everything was paid upfront. Five weeks later I still hadn’t heard anything so I called the store, only to be told that they didn’t know why I was told five weeks delivery, as it was actually eight ( I have paperwork stating 5). They also said they had no acknowledgment from the manufacturer which they thought was unusual. The staff member I spoke to said he would investigate and get back to me. Three days later I’d heard nothing so I called back. To my annoyance, the original person I spoke to had not followed up the query and had not made a note on the system. The second staff member did call me back and informed me that there was a ‘delay’ with the manufacturer but my order had now been put through as urgent, with the new delivery date being, surprise surprise, within 8 weeks. Although I appreciate the second staff member following up my query, I feel misled. I feel I was told the wrong information to begin with, or there was some kind of administrative error. The fact my query was not followed up the first time was poor customer service. And if there was in fact , a ‘delay’, I am disappointed that SCS do not contact customers to inform them. It feels like once they have your money they don’t care. I have a painful body condition, and if I had had the correct information to begin with, I could have made the informed choice to either not purchase, or make interim arrangements for my comfort at home. Not a happy bunny.

Never again will we shop with scs ordered September 20th 2018, had our 3rd replacement electric corner sofa delivered yesterday n still it's not correct wrong colour again n the frame for the recliner is twisted again and does not fit flush with the rest of the sofa how hard is it for the warehouse to read an order and get it correct at£2500 per sofa someone needs the sack as I have told the wife they will keep replacing it till we have the correct sofa what we ordered so I would avoid scs if you are planning on getting a new sofa

We ordered a three and a two seater Settee Brown and Beije colour on the 30th of December 2018, The agreement was that it would be delivered in 13 weeks and we sold our old suite and had to sit on beanbags for another four weeks waiting for it to arrive . It took 17 weeks later it arrived wrong colour, all Beije. SCS said it was the manufacturers fault. They have re-ordered the original three-piece suite and six months later we are still waiting for it. We have not received any communication between ScS and ourselves about when it will get delivered. This has got to be one of the worst companies that I have dealt with in many years. Never again would I ever deal with ScS. I paid cash upfront if I’d known what you people have gone through like myself, I would have cancelled the order and gone somewhere else. I have no choice but to wait.

They don't deserve even one star. I placed an order for Laminate, it took more than 3cweeks to be delivered. On delivery, the driver left the laminate outside in the rain and it all got damaged.

Absolutely furious! Within a year our sofa is falling to pieces! We've had three visits to attempt a repair. The third caused further damage! The last report said it is a manufacturing fault. SCS are not interested at all! All their guarantees mean absolutely nothing! We are now having to take legal action to try and get a resolution.

Had our leather suite repaired 3 times and only just finished paying for it, spray glue and tape seem to be the best they can do, recliners look awful...

Would give them zero stars .GIVE THEM A WIDE BERTH !!! if I could. Ten months ago I bought the Italian leather range recliner chair and three seater and now the leather is peeling from it on contacting SCS customer service well they were about as much use as a chocolate fire guard, never able to help or resolve. They asked for pictures to be sent in of the peeling which I did only for myself to contact them and a month later SCS said that they is NO FAULT with the peeling kid on leather. Contacted lawyers .

Furniture was delivered and stains on carpet were left by delivery men, was promised a carpet cleaning kit, never turned up. Assembled the dining set, one of the chairs was missing the legs and the table wobbled. After being passed around 4 different departments and 7 different people over email / phone, asked to be compensated and was refused. Decided to get the item refunded and therefore collected. I was told my SCS someone would be around on the Saturday that week to pick it up. Waited in all day and no one turned up. After me emailing SCS and calling them twice was given another collection date, have still not received any apology from anyone at SCS for my experience with them. In addition to this they informed me they would be pausing the direct debit payments until this is sorted, upon ringing the credit company they told me they had not heard from SCS at all with the matter. Shocking service and will never be using their company again.

Scs really are the worst company I've had the misfortune to buy from. When my recliner sofa arrived it was broken and I've had their repair person out twice. He confirmed it was broken on the van but they refuse to fix it.

Would give no stars. What kind of carpet shop sells you a carpet, then charges you £29 for it to be delivered from the manufacturer to the warehouse - and then have to pay another £29 to have it delivered from warehouse to your address if you cannot collect yourself. After a two week wait our carpet was delivered - but it was the wrong carpet. The store agreed it was wrong and told us to phone the after care team. Their error but we have to pay for the phone calls. The after care team have told us to send photos of the incorrect carpet so that they can check we are what....not lying?? And if and when they agree there is a discrepancy they will contact the store and let them know they can order the correct carpet for us. Although the store agrees an error has been made, has seen it with their own eyes, they can do nothing till they get the go ahead from the after care team. Will never use this company again - and will also advise other people not to.

If there was an option for less than 1 Star i would have chose that.! The carpet fitter fitted carpet to my stairs and landing, and left the house in a right state, also carpet fitters walked around my house throughout all the My own and my Childrens bedrooms for no apparent reason. Spoke to Dawn Scruff in Headoffice which is the most unhelpful Supervisor I have ever come across working in the financial sector myself.!!! No sympathy what so ever and didn't want to resolve any issues we had even though SCS accepted liability. WATCHDOG & TRADING STANDARDS HERE WE COME.!!! Absolute Joke of a company. Never ever would I recommend as customer services from Start to finish and aftercare is appauling.!!!

Delivered a faulty sofa messed us about for 8 month's and failed to fix the problem, they arrange to send technisions out to fix it who either don't show up or do but say they don't have the parts needed, they have now uplifted the faulty sofa and kept our money, we will now being going to court, we paid cash and expect a cash refund but SCS think they are above the law and insist we take payment on a card, after they agreed in writing to refund us cash, they have took the sofa then refused to refund us

Ordered a light grey recliner/rocker/swivel 2 chairs and 2 seater sofa. The suite arrived which is not light grey, more of a biscuit beige colour. We were told if we had ordered it on line then we would be able to return it but as we bought from the store (and only was shown a swatch) then we had no come back. Apparently, what the manufactures call a light grey is actually beige and blue is a dark grey!!! I also find the recliner/rocker/swivel chair very uncomfortable to sit on. So stuck with a suite that is not the colour we wanted. I would not recommend SCS as they do not care about after sales service.

Went to buy a Sofa today from SCS. Luckily the sales assistant told us that we would have to plump the sofa EVERY DAY! Said we would have to remove the cover and then plump it and then put the cover back on every single day!!! Otherwise it would go flat. We quickly declined. And now reading the reviews, I think we had a lucky escape

I would never shop from scs. My sofas arrived 16 weeks after ordering after 2 months the springs started to break inside. They came to inspect and stated the works size springs were fitted. Scs orderd the springs which never arrived after 6 weeks. I had to write to the head office with a letter stating Time is of essence under the sales of goods act for them to sort there mess out. Guess what... they rang me 3 days later offering an exchange. I did manage to order a replacement. But would advise against purchasing anything from scs.

Ordered a suite, also bought a rug both to be delivered together. When I got the information about delivery, which I might add was delivered at 6.30 pm waited all day, thought I would mention the rug, was told it had been discontinued had no one told you ??. They then mentioned I could go in store and order another I declined, was refunded my money, now I will have to shop around 😕😕😕

Not a very happy customer. My suite was delivered last Thursday. Unfortunately the three seater wouldn't fit through the living room door. The delivery driver advised me to reject order. We then went to store and to cut a long story short were advised best option was for an independent upholsterer who they deal with to take off arm at a cost of £200.00 payable to him. Hopefully suite and upholsterer will arrive Friday and rebuild. I feel scs are selling sofas they know won't fit. We did say at time of purchase we thought it was too big to go through door. The salesman basically said if it was a standard door it would fit. At the end of the day we have been sitting on sunloungers so we had no option but to agree. Either way if we reselected another suite we would incur charges and have a 6 to 8 week wait.
