One area of a High quality pile carpet was flat. Scs supplied the underlay and the carpet I picked. So for me it's no fault of mine. To be honest they did supply a new replacement carpet and the fitter stated there was no problem with the underlay. The new replacement carpet had the same fault. After complaining I was informed by the manager that there is nothing more they can do and I have to live with it. The flat pile is very noticeable in the lounge. To say I spent 1000s on one of the best carpets plus underlay and grippers to be told I have to live with it is unbelievable. Would I shop with them again NO WAY. there gaurentee of quality is not worth the paper it's printed on.

They have got a one star as I cannot give them a no star! Ordered 2x two-seater sofas from their website in April 2021 and was told it could take up to 12 weeks to be delivered. The sofas arrived in July and were completely the wrong colour! After lots of emails and phone calls back and forth, they sent through a swatch for me to check against the sofas I had received, saying that this is what I should have got. The swatch was the same as our received sofas, and so was the wrong colour. I rang them to explain and they then decided to send another swatch - exactly the same! Eventually, the manager of the online store admitted that we had received the wrong sofas, as I had sent through photos from their website and photos of our received sofas at the beginning of the dispute and he "finally" relented. he said he would get us the correct ones manufactured, this was in August 2021. I called the manager back the following day to confirm we ordered solid back and not scatter back, to receive an automated response stating that he no longer worked for the company!! There lies a story!!!! We have just had the delivery for our new sofas turn up this morning (Saturday 11 Dec 21), and guess what, they are exactly the same bloody colour as the sofas that we wrongly received in the first place back in July! Judging by the time it takes to manufacture, and given that I cannot call them until Monday 13th, I estimate that I should receive my "correct" sofas (if they get it right 3rd time) sometime in May 22 - over a year later! This is absolutely disgraceful! I am currently writing an email to my local Citizens Advice to see if I can receive some form of compensation, and will never ever use this terrible company again.

£6000 Worth of Lazyboy sofas delivered almost two weeks ago. Foot on one was broken, so cannot sit on that part of the sofa. Was told replacement had been ordered on 30 November This is seemingly a lie as we are now told it was ordered on 5 December. Company are long on apology and short on actually doing anything. Going back to shop is useless git sarcastically sneered at and then given a tatty bit of paper with some phone numbers on it, and told to speak to " aftersales care". Having made a lucrative sale, shop aren't interested.

Don-117-102,These two gentlemen were spot on, they phoned when they were going to get here, time spot on. Very pelite didn't waste any time, got on with job. If everyone was like these two, there would never be any problems.

Ordered a sofa June was promised it in October, got an email to say it was pushed back 3 weeks, then 3 weeks later got an email again saying it will be February, asked for a refund and canceled order now been waiting a month for a refund and keep getting fobbed off, pathetic company to deal with !!! Just avoid

I just want to tell literally everybody about what happened with SCS, it’s clear now why they have removed all methods to be able to right a review! I’m actually tramatised from it all to be honest. 1. We were sold sofas which were too big for our room, the salesmen seen our ‘blue prints’ and measured up totally wrong. 2. Due to the previous point, this caused our sofa order to be completely changed and delayed getting our sofa by over 12 weeks. 3. They tried to charge us extra for our carpets, and even rang me months after we ordered it to ask what colour we ordered as they had ‘no record’ we ordered our carpet (despite putting a deposit down) 4. The carpet was delayed 5 weeks, I’m in a new build house with absolutely no flooring. 5. On the day the carpets were due to be fitted we were told the fitters are to be paid £196 for fitting costs. we were told when we purchased the carpet fitting was included and it was NOT made clear that we would have more to pay on the fitting day. 6. Finally felt as I was getting somewhere with a fitting appointment booked, I left work early to let the fitters in, to get a message saying they were running an hour late. Not the end of the world I suppose, however as time went on they just didn’t show up at all. I messaged, rang, nothing. Didn’t hear a single thing until 4pm where they rang back and said that they we at another house longer than planned as well as using traffic as an excuse all day and they weren’t going to make it, they told me this 2 hours after they were due to show up. 7. Due to the fitters not showing up, we had nowhere to sleep, all our beds/furniture/clothing was piled up in rooms/areas which weren’t getting carpeted. We couldn’t even use our kitchen or bathroom because they was full of furniture from around the house that was to be carpeted. 8. Now our sofas were due to arrive the day after our fitting, but because our fitting didn’t go ahead we had NO ROOM to put the new sofas getting delivered. 9. The temporary sofa SCS provided us due to ours being so delayed, I was told will be taken away when our sofa is delivered. However when they came to drop off our sofa they advised they had ‘no record’ of us ever getting the temporary sofa and nearly refused to take it away. 10. They left the house without putting the doors back on, my friend is a joiner and came to put the door on and the door is now extremely stiff and not closing easily which will result in the hinge or the door frame getting damaged it is that tight. Plus it is not my job to have to put these doors back on when we were not the ones to take them off! 11. They owed us change, said they were going to the van to get it and just drive off! 12. Now I cannot get in touch with anybody at SCS about my complaint and my emails are getting ignored. I cannot believe a company as big as SCS has treat us this way and made so many mistakes, to drive me to tears the day the fitters didn’t arrive. I lost time at work that day fitters were meant to arrive as well as had nowhere to sleep in my own home.

Ordered carpet early September.told be fitted 5 November.not fitted.then told 30 November no one phoned or turned up.now lost 2 days wages waiting for carpet fitting.

Wot a joke.brought and paid for carpet mid September.after 10 weeks still waiting for fitting.they gave me a date saying fitting was booked.lost a days wages sitting in waiting.No phone call and no one turned up.not got a clue when it's being fitted as they have not even bothered getting back in touch.

The settees we purchased are not even 2 years old yet and all the cushions are frayed and threads broken look terrible and the insurance they sold us at purchase said not covered as NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR so be advised not worth purchasing insurance very shoddy manufacture

Delivery and fitting was a circus show. Six men turned up 4 hours late in an old transit van with 15 plus carpets sticking out the back of van open to the elements they couldn't find the carpet we ordered at first which was finally found after ten minutes then had the audacity to roll out a brand new carpet on my drive full of loose stones and mud , walking all over it with dirty trainers on whilst cutting it .When fitting was finished I asked the men why was there a lump in the carpet and was it tight enough and was palmed off with it'll settle response as it was late in the day felt like it was rushed .I hand no carpet grip by the back doors they just glued the carpet down other side of the room the gripper they put down was bouncing up and down not secured so the carpet was floating .I had chips out my newly fitted skirting boards Stanley knife lines where they trimmed in the new boards .After getting in touch with SCS i was then given a number for another fitter and I was left phoning him and organize with him SCS where no where to be seen . Finally he came out stretched my carpet put new grippers down and trimmed access of the carpet which was an inch because it was that baggy should of had him first time done a proper job even he shook his head when he turned up to see how rubbish the job was done never again from there

Due to the delivery difficulties nationally, we have had to cancel our order , the sales team did phone up to tell us the bad news and did offer some compensation + the possibility of a loan sofa , however there was no guarantee our order would be delivered in January so we asked for our money back ( over £500) which we paid in early August. I was I little disappointed I had to phone back to chase up my refund, it was then paid back to me within 2 more days . I can't give a review on the sofas all I can say that in store they whwr very comfortable. We have ordered a sofa from elsewhere ,in stock delivery within 10 days not 6 months.

It is difficult to give a review due to all the hold ups at the ports and unavoidable waiting times. Although we didn't get the suit we wanted ( we were waiting 5 months and they kept altering the delivery date so we cancelled) they did find a different model for us. Not as comfy but at least better than sitting on hard second hand chairs.

Ordered and paid for a carpet 1st September 2021, promised fitting in 4-6 weeks. I rang them after 6 weeks and was told they'd forgotten to order the carpet! Told another 4-6 weeks for fitting. I rang after another 5 weeks and was told the order was with the supplier and that they'd ring back in 2-3 days to confirm fitting. I heard nothing from them! I rang after another week and was told they'd only authorised the order the previous day and hadn't ordered the carpet yet! They said they wouldn't get the carpet until 7th January 2022 and wouldn't give a fitting date. We gave up at this point and got a refund. I wrote to Customer Service at their head office and haven't even received the courtesy of an acknowledgement. Avoid this company at all costs. There are no positive points at all. Everyone I spoke to was very dismissive and had no concern at the appalling service they delivered - it's obviously what they expect.

Terrible Service - Avoid this Company!! I called staff to arrange fitting and was told carpets were in the warehouse and I needed book my fitting asap. I took the day off work to accommodate this request as the house is a rental property. I called several times on the fitting day (which takes forever, as noone answers the phone) and waited in the rental property until 5.30pm as I was told the carpet fitters work late. The carpet fitter didn't arrive. Noone from SCS bothered to call to rebook, explain or apologise. I called to rebook for 10 days later - Again, noone called to confirm the fitting or give any information. Without the carpet fitted I had to wait before the tenant could occupy the property. Avoid this company, the service is terrible!

Worst ever purchase of my life. Brought 2 & 3 seater sofas. Delivered in January, by April called them out, as the material on bottom and bags had gone baggy. No where near enough stuffing in backs. Homeserve came out told me nothing wrong. Told me take each cushion off backs & bottoms and whack them into shape. Should you be doing this on 4 months old sofas. I’m disgusted with them. 9 months on they are worse. Sent photos on contact form again snd nothing back. I’ve ordered 2 new sofas from a proper furniture shop, coming in January. So I will be getting rid of them 2 piles of complete rubbish after having only 1 year. Says it all really.

Ordered carpet and sofa in May and because of Covid production issues was given date of Aug Sept for delivery. Ok with that. Chased for updates several times and bearing in mind, customer service are working from home, they were helpful. Was informed that sofa was available September but said I wanted carpet fitted first. Carpet fitting date arranged for October 15th and sofa 18th. Carpet arrived and fitted, all fine. Fitters did excellent job. Really excited about delivery of sofa due to arrive 18th….. Delivery did arrive, but…. It was the wrong sofa, totally different model and colour. I was offered the opportunity of using this item until my order could be completed, as in back to manufacture process, but due to the amount of time which had elapsed since the order was placed in May and still not correct, …. I asked for a refund and this was received within 4 days. The Manager kept his word. I have placed an order with another company and due date is February, I accept Covid is still playing a part in the lengthy lead times…but it’s local and I can talk directly to the store. My tale of woe is not one of poor quality but of sheer incompetence and the inability to be able to speak directly to the store to sort issues arising. Cute prices and glossy advertising need to be backed up with assured delivery dates of the correct items. The staff both instore and online deserve to be given daily updates from head office to enable them to do their job effectively. Unfortunately…. I would not recommend this company to anyone due to my experience.

Use this company at your own peril I ordered 3 bedroom and 1 stair carpet in April 2021 the bedroom carpets were fitted on June 24th but the fitters said they had sent the wrong size stair carpet so it would need to be re ordered after several weeks I had heard nothing so I went into store it took a further 3 weeks before they acknowledged the problem and then reordered the carpet 6 weeks after that I got a new fitting date waited in all day eventually got a call saying fitter had been held up but was on his way he said would not take long as was only flat lay for a bedroom when I told him it was a stair carpet he said he could not fit it as he had no time or cutting plan.a couple of days later after trying to contact them by phone I again went to store complained and received another fitting date which was Saturday 30th of October same thing happened no cutting plan and not down as a stair carpet so he could not fit after again not being able to contact them by email or phone I went back to the store to be told that after speaking to me the fitter had wrang the store and resigned but had not handed back the carpet. so there was nothing they could do the girl emailed 2 different managers on my behalf and said they would reply in 48 to 72 hours its been 10 days and still nothing and to add insult to injury because the order had been flagged as shipped I have now started paying for it I will be back in store in the next couple of days but I am also looking at the legal options it should not have got to this but I don't know what else I can do. you have been warned. if you feel the need to write a similar review in the months ahead for appalling customer service or broken promises you will deserve everything you get don't be a mug like me there are plenty of good retailers out there so please go elsewhere

Our expensive Grey glitter carpet has been down only 18 months and is in a shocking state, pile flattened, glitter non existent, - called SCS to have a look, sent someone down about 2-3 weeks later and he said its ok and how it would be (was a nice lad in fairness) The carpet needs replacing!!! - they must think people complain for nothing Atrocious customer service!!!!!!!! I am now getting carpet replaced by a local firm I will NEVER EVER EVER use SCS again - cowboys who sell rubbish and treat people with no respect
