Long lead time, then delivery advised. This was cancelled the day before delivery (already more thanthe advised 8 weeks after order) then reconfirmed, then cancelled because of the coronavirus, had delivery occurred when it was meant I would have had my furniture 4+ weeks before the crisis. I wish I had read the reviews before ordering as I would not have ordered furniture from them. I note they are not part of the furniture ombudsman scheme, which most furniture companies are, I find this even more off putting and wander why they are not signed up to this consumer protection service!!

We have had the sofas 7/8 months and the colour is coming off the seat. Sent photos as requested and told not a manufacturing fault. How can this not be a manufacturing fault when the colour is coming off the leather. They were not cheap leather sofas I am pretty sure they were one of the most expensive and told by the sales person they were better quality as they were Italian leather

ScS is a really bad company I have spent nearly 3.000 pounds with them and have nothing to show for it apart from damaged carpets with holes in them damaged the wrong sofa sent, also damaged my property forcing sofa through doors, I was not at home when they delivered. I have contacted them approximately twenty times and they don't do anything this has been going on for nearly a year, ScS just completely ignore you there customer service is extremly poor and shockingly bad i am taking them to court

Really bad experience from ScS wrong sofa delivered damaged as well as damage to carpets property. Contacted them about twenty times and they don't give a dam they are doing nothing I have no choice to take them to court. If you google them there are loads of unhappy customers who are all in the same boat as me I'm a victim of ScS Sofas. I went to their store complained to staff who just keep passing it on to management and still, nothing gets done they just completely ignore you, i walk around my house looking at dammed holes in carpets damaged sofa damage to my property and I think to look what i have to show for just under 3.000 pounds of my hard-earned money, they are a disqusting company who i am taking to court.

My brother ordered a table and chairs but wanted to cancel due to mum dying and leaving him hers. We were asked to bring in a death certificate which we did but when it came to it they refused to do a refund point blank even though the table is not ready until May. He showed me their terms which did have a sentence to say it could actually be done with written consent but apparently this is not their store’s policy. I then asked for my brother’s signature on the terms and conditions. He found a signature on a receipt but my brother has never read or signed their terms and conditions and has not been given or sent a receipt for his money. In the end they offered a 25% cancellation fee and took back the discount on the carpets. This amounted to £450. The table was £750. At this we walked away. My brother had spent a lot of money with them on carpets alone; £1500 but never again. They were arrogant and totally unsympathetic. My advice would be to stay well clear.

Hi, There, Make sure you look at all the bad reviews on every site , do not touch GPLAN furniture. You will waste all your money. The technicians that come out to check your furniture wont be on your side , I have wasted over £2000 .00 pounds out of my small pension, We cant sit the furniture for long ,too uncomfortable ,the foams gone soft and you hit the metal springs, absolute rubbish, The material ,chenille is not fit for purpose ,you get shading patches after two or three weeks . BOTH S C S AND G PLAN are not with the ombudsman, I have been trying to get help for months, from 4 different sources, I still hav nt finished , Pity they can t be shut down,

Extremely bad customer service which was surprising for the size of the company. Ordered carpets and the carpets were fitted in the wrong room and even when telling the fitters that the 2 carpets they had fitted was meant to be the other way around, they just left and said it was down to the shop. I then contacted the branch multiple times via phone and online chat and all I was told was that they couldn't do anything about it and that the shop had to deal with it but they do not have a direct number so a few emails were sent to them. It then took me nearly 7 hours later to finally get a response from the manager after having to arrange someone to go to the store and for them to ring me up due to not living in the area anymore. I was informed that they also couldn't do anything about it and was told by the fitters it wasn't a big deal and I should move into my new home anyway. The manager was rude and spoke over everything I tried to say and said that I should travel 2 hours back to scunthorpe to speak to the sales person who did the order for me and not the manager (who was himself). I have had to put a stop on furniture being delivered and it has cost me more expenses as I arranged everything to be done by the 13th March so the upstairs was ready for us to move in. The premium carpet was very expensive but was fitted in the spare room rather than the master room and the cheaper luxury carpet which turns out to be very poor quality when put down, was fitted in the master room. The floor plan was provided and we specifically stated multiple times which room was the master room and which carpet it wanted in there. It was then agreed by the sales person. When I stated to the manager that I wouldnt have paid to much for an expensive thick carpet to be put in an empty room and a cheap carpet to be put in the main room he stated that I was wrong and that some people do prefer more expensive carpets in spare rooms? My issue still has not been resolved and now results in me having to travel 2 hours back to the store to try and get the matter resolved. Overall the whole customer service experience has been more than poor and I would advise on avoiding using SCS for carpets despite there 'big' name. I am extremely disappointed and distressed with the fact that I have now had to spend more money to store furniture else where. It has come at more of an expense to me as I had arranged my mortgage, Bill's and any other expenses to come out on this date as this was the official date I was meant to move in. I now cannot move into my home until the matter is sorted! I would not recommend!

Stitching in our sofa came apart after 4 years, We thought it had a ten year warranty but were told it only applies to the frame (so basically worthless) and were told someone could look at it but it would cost us. I have had numerous sofas over the years (in fact my friend is still using the one we bought 13 years ago- needless to say it’s not from SCS!) Will never buy another one from them; quality is very poor.

After the fitting and then vacuuming the carpet in the lounge we had a tram line from one end straight to the other side ( please see attached photo) after there so called after care service I was told by Tracy leave it 2 weeks and it will pull out. 9 weeks on and it’s still there , when the carpet fitter arrived to fit my hallway carpet he told me and assured me the carpet is faulty and needs to be replaced, he also said he will tell the people at the Norwich store and took photos. with no response. I have now sent 7 emails with no answer; spoke to Mitchell at the Norwich store with no answer and 7 conversations with Rebecca and Tracy with still no answer from there head office in Sunderland

I would never have bought from SCS if I would have known how bad their service is! Leave them alone! I will be persuing this further as i didn't expect to be paying nearly a grand and a half for some tat!

Scs. Additional to not being members of any arbitration organisations. I cannot find this company on the gov company register. If you read this alarm bells should be ringing. Read insurance documents for sofas. Wasn't worth the money nothing like what was stated by salesperson. The print was all contradictive. I cancelled and was given a refund to which I don't think was the full price I paid. The sofas in question the back cushions are all misshaped. They sent a so called technician with his magic iron. Fobbed us of with give it a few weeks they will settle down. A month later I complained same problem. Told the problem had been resolved and I had signed his tablet to say I was happy. The screen was blank he said it was just to say he had called. They then sent me an email to say The case is closed. Once case is closed on there behalf you are entitled to take legal action to which I am now pursuing. My advice is do the same do not be fobbed off with stupidity. I will give my name on this post after court case and my final comments hoping it will help others. Finally tell others verbally regarding this company as mainly the older folk don't have access to this site. Together we can win.

I have been on the phone for 15 minutes to SCS Wolverhampton. And 12 minutes on the phone to SCS Sunderland. No one answers just puts you on hold. I can understand the wait they must all be trying to complain and some answers . I have never ever has bad service from any company. They said my furniture was delivered January 2015. My house was still being refurbished. My furniture was delivered June 2015 which makes it still under garantee.I paid £250.00 for their insurance and they have brought the delivery date to the buy date. They have no info who signed for this suite which says it all. Please stay clear of this company.I am today notifying The insurance ombudsman and trading standards. I have had enough we are in our 80's and can do without this hassle. Pity you can't use a minus star.

Absolutely disgusted by this company! Supposed to have had flooring fitted today 9th March 2020 (whole house). Had a call on Saturday evening to tell me no one would be coming Monday, with absolutely no reasonable explanation. Asked to speak to a manager and was informed that no managers work weekends. Said priority email would be passed for managers to call today (when the floor should be fitted). To this point, now 14:45, no call received. I have rang the Online Sales team several times and their attitude is absolutely disgusting! Angela, Alex, Dillon and Lenny, absolutely no help at all, sarcastic comments, no answers, refused to put call through to manager, then best of all, they forgot to press mute on the call before they all started laughing about the situation!! My fiancé is about to give birth any day, and our three year old does t understand why the house is a mess and is so cold. When this was explained to the Online Sales Team, they were completely unsympathetic to the situation. I’m not looking for special service, I just want answers and to know when my floor will be done! Will never use this company again, and will let everyone I know hear about the awful service they provide! If I could select less than 1 star I would!

ordered 2 two seater sofas on the 1st January, with an expected delivery date of march 27th, just been informed by email that it now the estimated delivery to their depot is now 21st April,(Estimated)!!!!!, after calling the Customer service Department to enquire what justifiable reason could they give for such a delay, we were told under the terms and conditions , it does say they are allowed up to 4 weeks from the date given to you at point of sale, so buyer beware. Would I consider this good Customer Service, absolutely NOT, would I order from this company again?, NEVER,

Appalling service! 2 different delivery dates sent, less than 24 hours apart. Too late to cancel days holiday from work. No explanation offered when I called. Told I would get a delivery time slot on the day before. Heard nothing. Still nothing on delivery date so I called. Told no deliver slot would be given as it was a courier. No number available for the courier and refused to contact courier in my behalf. Refused to cancel my order but told I would get a call within 24 hours. What use is that? Terrible service and will never use again and will tell everyone I can not to give sts any business. Couriers from Castle Removals were excellent and went above and beyond so highly recommend them but not scs.
