“Service was brilliant.
Leanne G you were lovely, very kind and respectful.
Craig you were so kind and patient as I couldn't hear very well due to my hearing aid not working.
Jed, you were so professional and thorough, I felt well looked after and was treated as a valued customer.
Thank you all so much for a great service st Specsavers Walsall.”
“Review of the shop
I am extremely dissatisfied with the service at this shop. During my eye test, the optician prescribed contact lenses with a -2.75 prescription. I paid for the eye test and temporary lenses with the same prescription and subscribed to receive these lenses regularly. However, two weeks later, I received lenses with a -2.25 prescription.
I didn’t open the packaging and immediately contacted the shop to request an exchange for the correct lenses. The manager was rude and insisted that they had sent what the optician prescribed, which was untrue. They refused to exchange the lenses.
For over a month, I tried to book an appointment with the optician, but they work only on Thursdays and are always unavailable. It felt like I was being deliberately ignored.
In the end, I had to wear the incorrect lenses, which left me barely able to see properly. To make matters worse, one of the lenses tore while I was wearing it, and I had to seek help from the NHS.
I strongly advise against using this shop due to their unprofessional staff, poor customer service, and refusal to take responsibility for their mistakes.”
“05/12/2024 Visited Specsavers Melksham today for removal of ear wax procedure. The initial team member at reception was very welcoming and helpful but unfortunately I did not note the persons name.
Audiologist Practitioner Simon was obviously very knowledgeable in his speciality. He explained the whole process, answered my queries and the whole procedure was efficient and effortless. Thank you.”
“Great service from the staff in store.
But, multiple text messages, multiple emails and a phone call the day before my eye test all just to remind me about my appointment. Even the poor woman who called me apologised and said that they’ve been told multiple times how annoying their reminders are. It’s borderline harassment.”
“I have lived in the same property for two years and I keep on getting mail from Specsavers for other customers which I dutifully send back. Someone at their end is not doing their job and updating the system leading to a waste of paper time and money which will get passed onto the customer.”
“We had a home visit and test, new glasses recomended, paid in full and told 2-3 weeks for fitting. Given a fitting date but nobody turned up. The following day someone phoned to ask if Iwe had received our glasses and when told "No show" said they were having difficulties wih deliveries and would ring next week to give a new fitting date. No call. just been given the run around every time I tried to talk to somone, one person said that the glasses were posted through my letter box, when I said that I had CCTV covering that ares, they hung up. Please refund my money so that I can go to an optician who cares about customer relations and I can get new glasses. Thank you”
“29th November wife went to you in csdtlepoint saindburys. You tried to con her into paying $600 for glasses. She stood her ground knowing how much I paid - she only wanted basic glasses for reading. Came out feeling small upset and frustrated. Not a good experience for her. She had to bargain down to $227. Won't ever go there again and will spread word at the kinson community centre. And when ordered my glasses nobody notified me that they were ready - had to go there to find out. No apology no attention to glasses needing adjustment. Very poor service. Marek”
“Went to appointment as advised by pharmacist because I suffer from dry eyes. Tried to explain to optician but he just talked over me. Was abrupt and obviously in a hurry to get rid of me . Won’t go back to specsavers.”
“Tailor made variofocals costing around £340 around 120 days ago, distance is ok when looking staight ahead but reading is very hard work and the intermediate at arms lengh is about the width of my thumbnail I complained 3 times but they told me it was normal, last week started to learn computer but the screen is totally out of focus , I bought £3 specs from the pound shop and can see the whole thing, I feel completely ripped off now by specsavers , if these are top of their range I can't imagine what comes below. I hope my eyes aren't being made worse with glasses I can't afford to replace.”

“Four weeks ago i went specsaver in bearwood road and after check they said your glass is ready after aweek and they keep calling me to say sorry your glass is not ready till today and i cancel my order.bad service bad customer service”
“The supposed call centre answered my initial enquiry with kirt, blunt questions... I visited the Deal shop where I had good service although something I required wasn't available.. I travelled home as I didn't have my credit card with me, I tried to call three times over two hours each time receiving a message saying the phone cannot be answered.. I eventually got through to a woman who's manner was bordering on rudeness... I kept asking why the phone was not being answered, to which she kept talking over me saying 'date of birth' .... I think the management should be taking a serious view on this vital function for any business.. Colin Craddock 077203 72965”
“I feel totally let down by specsavers they couldn't do the glasses had chosen they couldn't get the lenses to fit them but gave me one of pair of glasses that could get lenses for which a six year old would no thank you, so I went to boots they phoned there lenses makers , yep they can do lenses and just choose the frames I wanted, all done , so specsavers I have been with you for 20 years +, so let down”
“Wish I hadn't gone to Specsavers, Arnison, Durham.
An appalling optician. They took £285 for glasses, issued the wrong prescription and now simply don't want to know.
Buyers Beware.
A rogue outfit!.”
“Young Optician that I saw was very good and also one older woman who was helpful who then then disapeared to not be seen again during my visit. Lots of staff and no help! I did not know what was happening next other than being toldto sit in a seat and wait. There were mainly young/school leavers who looked bored who worked there. A young woman mumbled at me throughout an additional test I was having. I could not hear her. She just looked embarrassed and bored. Dance type music playing, and staff standing and chatting to each other about everything else other than work! Honestly the whole place was very unprofessional. I was left to choose frames, and when I needed help there was none. I ended up paying for the test, and then found that my prescription had not been included in the rest of the paperwork. I have no glasses and will go elsewhere. Complete waste of time. I will never return.”
“Bracing myself to return 2 pairs of varyfocals, can't read with them. I told them this on collection but they were paid for and I was told my eyes would 'adjust', what cowboys. Not the first time I've had problems with them, the optician is always pretty good, but they let idiots do the measurements, make the lenses and deal with aftercare. Not a GCSE between them. Totally p'd off. £175 for nothing. Looking up legal advice ready to know my rights.”
