“My wife and i had an appointment today at the same time my wife paid £20 for extra Oct test but I never we are both convinced we had exact the same test, the young man who rushed my test asked me if I drove, when told yes he told me I was close to not be able to drive and needed glasses to drive and too buy the more expensive as they would have a free anti glare film for night driving, I only ever buy 2.5 cheap readers that I rearlly need Will Not Use Specsavers again”

“Secunda Specsavers are and totally unprofessional. Not giving their patients the correct prescription and make them come back time and again. I personally know about 4 patients who had numerous issues. They are rude especially the ladies at the counter. Not even talking about how they lie to their patients just to make extra money and shunt them around. They don't even deserve 1 star. I am posting on behalf of the patients I know. I will never go to them.”

“They have 1O0 days where you can change your frame, which is really good unfortunately only has came back and after 3 months im still waiting for my other pair, visiting them weekly in hythe branch , they will always say they will check what has happened to it, im not going back there anymore,”

They apparently phoned my house BUT did not leave a message on answer machine. I had to chase it up.

“If I could, I would give the staff a 5 star review, they did their best to solve the problem. After 3 remakes of the lenses and despite my optometrist's note to match the curvature and lens thickness, the glasses made for me were very difficult to wear, there was blurring at the peripheral, the progressives caused the floor to seem wavy, there was only a small section that was clear. My prescription was blamed went for a retest, not much difference.
Let me make it clear I have been wearing glasses for over 60 years and know very well how they should be. I did say at the first pair that if the frames were not compatible with the prescription , no problem I would pick something else.
First pair letters on the signs in the store were doubling, and driving only looking straight ahead was it clear tried for 2 weeks to wear, because they wanted me to 'adjust'. I returned and they redid the lenses.Put 2nd pair on and when I stood up total loss of balance, again only small section of lens clear, 3rd try lens upgrade, and after 4 weeks 'adjusting' a lot of eye strain and in total frustration I put my old glasses on and have not gone back.
So my benefits were used up and have since bought new glasses out of pocket somewhere else and they are exactly correct.
After speaking to professional, lens quality can make a big difference when you have astigmatism.
Again kudos to the staff as they tried to fix a product that was not the quality needed.”
