“The watch arrived in an EXCESSIVELY large box in comparison to the watchboxes of other brands
The watch is as pictured and is fine until you have a close look.
Here is my major criticism. The seconds hand. At no point in its revolution as it clicks around the 60 seconds does the "arrow" end of the hand, click to the corresponding point on the watch face. ie instead of clicking to say the 5 second point on the watch face it clicks between the 5 and 6 points and so it goes all the way around . Check again after lets say 5 minutes observing the hand, and it seems to get to a point where the arrow tip almost is in line with the points, and then moves away again. POOR QUALITY FOR AN OVERRATED TIME PIECE”

“Dear Stuhrling, thank you for allowing me to comment on your products. Some time ago now, I dropped my Winchester 3982 automatic skeleton watch and smashed the glass face, not even extensively, only a small part. The watch also stopped working. I ordered a new watch, a seastar this time which I fell in love with. Trying to get the skeleton watch repaired I gave it to a watchmaker. His verdict? He wrote ‘glass fragments damaged the fine teeth of works ( low quality movement used). ‘
I’m none too pleased, given that I have chosen a third Stührling watch now, when I could have paid a lot less for possibly a better quality watch.
I obviously hope that my Seastar watch works for a long time, but should it fail, I won’t be buying another Stührling I don’t think.
I have not even received my Seastar watch but given that the post is slow due to COVID that is not Stührling’s fault.”

Im actually sad as I would have liked to order more but unfortunately I got taxed an extra 190€ by customs which is just ridiculous.
The only reason I have put three stars is I mailed Stuhrling Support twice, immediately after purchase to change the shipping address before they sent the package and didn't do anything, even though it was correctly inserted on their web page at the time of the order.

“I have 4 Stuhrlings currently and I like them all, I recently had an experience that might change everything moving forward. I recently bought a watch online and I spent a little more than I usually do as Stuhrlings are usually priced very well. I received the watch in a timely matter and it was packaged beautifully, as all my other watches have been, I opened up the orange and black box in anticipation of what I ordered and unfortunately, I was underwhelmed. This has only happened once before and the company was good about accepting my return. Same thing happened this time, except they didn't offer a return shipping label? So I had to pay $14 for priority shipping (tracking) and $5 for insurance. I called customer service about my issue a few days after I received the confirmation email that my return was accepted. The customer service rep understood my issue, but said that it is a company policy to not offer return shipping. I was expecting her to issue some sort of credit or coupon to make up for the $19 that I spent to ship the watch back. No dice, got nothing.
I find it odd for a company that is primarily an online retail store to not offer return shipping, especially in todays online economy. When I asked the rep about purchasing future watches, she basically said that was the cost I would have to absorb or take into consideration.
I think $20 to test a watch is very extreme and I most likely won't be ordering any Stuhrling's in the near future.

But I changed the leather strap directly. It was not a good standard at all
But it looks nice and works well a night out and keeps the time ok
But as I wrote, the feel is quite cheap and it feel "light"

“Disappointed with the watch I ordered because only shortly after receipt it started loosing time. I will replace the battery and see if that solves the problem. There is no indication a warning is present, such as the second hand moving in larger steps and ,furthermore, if batteries are not verified new on despatch, it points at quality control lacking.”

“The watch band I ordered was nice quality. However, it was so poorly wrapped and it looked like the outer envelope had been run over. Consequently, the metal clasp was slightly tweaked. My husband straightened it out but for $34 you should not have to do this. I’ve bought Walmart quality products and did not have to tweak them. Very disappointing.”
