No deposit refunded within the 25 business days they claim it could take. We have sent several emails to ask about the 600€ deposit, but all we get is BS answers saying that money are released, so it is a problem with our bank. We have, of course, contacted the bank and confirmed that there is no issue. As a prrof of release, surpricecar sent us a document issued by someone called Auto ONE with a not existing phone number. Stay away from them

Do not use. We waited 4 hours for a shuttle to their off-site building which wax a 65e cab ride. They refused to take the Chase Saphire insurance (who we booked through) and wanted another 1309e for 3 weeks for insurance on top of what we paid. We finally went back to airport and rented through Hertz which was great.

Terrible experience renting from AutoOne at the Venice IT airport. First, the woman working behind the desk literally coughed in my face, then all over her hands while proceeding to touch my documentation, credit cards, and phone. Needless to say, I got very sick the next day, which is a problem as I and my musicians were traveling around Italy performing concerts. It severely impacted our trip on a professional level. And aside from that, she insisted we buy additional insurance that was supposed to be optional, otherwise she wouldn’t release the car to us. I guess it’s a good thing we did, though, because the check engine light came on almost as soon as we left the rental place, the gears stuck, and the car was covered in scratches. (She had told me she’d given us her “best car.”) What a joke! It was an absolute rip-off. Will never rent from this company again.

Avoid at all cost! Charged 1000eur for three superficial scratches, more than CDW excess!

Rent through Ryan air for 10 days in Corfou. Nobody was waiting for us at the airport exit. Peugeot 301 instead of 308, without same comfort, but has done the job. Car trunk was finally blocked and impossible to open. Employees are kind.

I used this company in Florence. My flight was delayed for just over two hours and they cancelled the reservation and made me pay an extra€60 a day for another car. On return they found a tiny chip in the door. They invoiced me for €390 but charged my credit card for €652. Their customer services do not respond about this. Exercise extreme caution before using this company.

Worst nightmare of my life. It’s sad you only get to know the Surprise when you arrive and there is no way to know it’s them because they use other name for bookings. I don’t know how people can be warned.

My experience with Car Surprice has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to warn others. I booked a Fiat 500 with them at an initially attractive price, but the problems started almost immediately. First, I reached out to confirm the deposit and was stunned to hear it was €900—outrageous for such a small car. For context, other companies only require around €300 for the same model. To make matters worse, they informed me I had to present a credit card at pickup, despite the fact that I’d already paid for the rental. Given these conditions, I decided to cancel, expecting a straightforward process. However, here we are, over two months later (my initial cancellation request was on August 14th), and I still haven’t received my refund. Repeatedly, customer service has reassured me that it’s being “urgently processed” by their accounting department. But clearly, their idea of “urgent” is entirely different from any reasonable standard. At this point, it feels like Car Surprice is intentionally delaying or even refusing refunds as part of a shady practice. I would strongly advise anyone considering this company to think twice. Their customer service is evasive, their policies lack transparency, and their refund process is either grossly incompetent or maliciously obstructive. Save yourself the headache and go with a reputable rental company instead.

First and the last time I rented a car form Surprice. Faro, Portugal. They charged me almost 400€ for the scratch I didn't make. Unfortunately I didn't have car phothos to prove they were wrong. Fortunately I had full Rentalcars cover insurance and money refund was made. My advise- stay away from this company (read other reviews- I'm not the only one with such experience). However if you have to use their offer- it's mandatory for you to take plenty of photos of the rented car. And I'm talking also about minute and tiny scratches of paint (e.g. 1mm big) because Surprice employee will be checking for EVERY possbile car damage to bust you with money charge.

Worst experience ever for car rental. Couldn't find the pick up point as the voicemail you have to ring gave incorrect instructions. I have already brought extra insurance through a 3rd party site I ordered the rental through which stated I did not need to purchase any extra cover for the vehicle. After getting a taxi there we had to wait outside in over 30 degree heat with 2 babies for over an hour to get to the desk. Once we got inside we were told the extra insurance we had brought was useless and if we didn't buy theirs for over £700 we would have to put down a deposit of £1500! If we didn't pay we weren't allowed to take the vehicle and would have lost all of the money paid.

I want to rate this rental car negative 10(-10) The name fits it surprise rental car. My friend book the rental car for our travel in Milan Italy. We arrive in October 10 at 8pm and pick up time shld be 830pm. The shuttle came around 10pm. This is just a start. When we pick up the car the guy ask my friend if he has an international driving license Hea been Travelling to Europe and our last travel was in Istanbul n Greece and we didn’t have any problem picking up the rental car from other provider(oak mobility and other) they never ask an international driving license. He ask as to pay 300 euro for the international driving license then he lowered it to 230plus euro. In that time we choose not to take the car n went back to malpensa airport n sleep there. The ff day we have no choice n we went back to surprise car rental. Aside form the international driving license amounting to 212 euro there’s also an additional reopening of the reservation car of 87 dollars total of $327.92 ITS REALLY A SURPRISE RENTAL CAR. Our vacation was delayed because of these and it ruined our vacation Stay away from this rental car if u don’t want to get any problem n will ruin your vacation. This is the WORST RENTAL CAR we ever rented from year 2020 to 2024 with all the travels me and my friend went to. Anybody here who have the same experience so we can file a complaint on them.

Stay away from Surprice Car Rentals in Chania Airport, Greece!!! It turned for me to be a very big Surprise. ☹️ ☹️ ☹️ Those people are scammers. Here is the trick they are playing - First, they lure you on Internet with a low price. Once they pick you up from the Airport and bring you in their office to take your car, they do everything possible to try to sell you their super expensive wavers. In case you reject paying the waver, they try their last trick. They charge the deposit on your card. After the transaction goes trough, they tell you that your card is not a credit card but a debit one (even if your card is a credit one like in my case). The employee even called his supervisor (i think he pretended to do so) to ask wether he can accept a debit card. The answer was NO. As per their booking conditions, for them this is a breach and a good reason to transfer back your deposit, cancel your booking and leave you with no car. Then, after you realise what have just happened, they again try to explain you that, if you buy their super expensive waver then you can pay with your own card (once you pay the waver they automatically forget everything about card not being a credit one 😁). As a result you are left in their office, which normally is in the middle of nowhere far away form the airport, with no car, very disappointed and on your own with no transportation at all.

y friend and I picked up a car from Florence airport on Saturday October 12th. From the beginning, the interaction with the Surprice employee was not easy: the lady kept insisting that we MUST pay for insurance, even though we kept telling her that we already had insurance through the booking company. She kept pressing us, showing us the prices for the different levels of insurance (where even the lowest one would cost us more than triple the rental cost), insisting that we had to pay. After much discussion, she conceded that it was not strictly necessary to pay for this extra insurance, but that we were going to risk a lot. We finally managed to sign the contract and get the car keys, only paying the amount that we were told when we booked the car. However, we were lucky: the couple next to us had to pay more than 400€ insurance because they did not have an international driver's license. On Sunday October 13th we returned the car, and being now aware of the sketchy nature of this company, we knew we had to be careful. When we told the employee that we had to return the car, she gleefully said we could just leave the car keys and go, she would take care of everything herself. We said "no thank you, we want to check the car with you to make sure that everything is alright". She told us we would have to wait for her colleague to come back and check the car for us. We waited for at least 30 minutes (during which I read the reviews on this website and I grew warier and warier). When the colleague, Ulisse, arrived, he checked the car, took some pictures and checked that the gas tank was full. He filled a check-in form on his tablet, and asked us to sign it. I asked if everything was okay, and he said yes. When my friend went to sign the form, Ulisse had zoomed in on where she had to sign, thus not allowing us to see what the form said. I guess we should have asked to check the form, but since Ulisse had assured me more than once that everything was okay, I thought I could trust him. He said we would receive a copy of the form via email (which we didn't), and that the deposit would be returned after 20 days. Fast forward to today, Tuesday: my friend was just charged 22€ by Surprice. I called to ask for an explanation, and the employee told me that that was the cleaning fee. I said we were not informed that we had to clean the car, and that Ulisse had said that everything was okay. She said that the contract stated we had to clean the car before returning it. I asked her to send us the check-in form that we had not received yet, and said goodbye. I then reviewed the contract, which states "the client agrees to return the vehicle in the same conditions in which it was delivered, including cleaning, except for wear proportionate to the duration of the rental period and the mileage travelled". We used the car for less than 48 hours, driving on normal paved roads. Of course, cars get a bit dusty just by driving them around, which was exactly what happened with our car. I then checked the check-in form, and to my surprise it said that we had returned a dirty vehicle. Now, I cannot complain further with this company, as technically they are "right" because we signed the check-in document saying that the car was dirty, and therefore they can charge us the cleaning fee. But I asked Ulisse repeatedly whether everything was fine, he confirmed multiple times, and then proceeded to zoom in on the signature area so that we could not see what the form said. They might be right, but they definitely were not transparent nor fair. In the end, we did not lose much money, but that is only because we kept insisting with them (not to buy their insurance, to get our car checked, to receive a copy of the check-in form...). We definitely did not feel at ease, we felt like they were constantly trying to take advantage of us and that we had to be extra careful not to get scammed. All in all, don't use this company. Just pay a bit more for a more reputable company, and you will be able to enjoy your trip without having to worry about losing your money.

Only gave one star as this was the least I could give. Absolute rip off merchants. Just got done for €158 for 2 barely visible scratches on the bonnet of a well used rental car. I do have insurance but it's not the point. Robbing bastards! Will upload photos soon - DO NOT USE THIS CAR HIRE COMPANY

I had to give a star FRAUD COMPANY, ADVERTISING cheap rentals on carjet and other platforms then claim damages that doesn't exist. DON'T GO AHEAD, IS CHEAP BUT YOU WILL BATTLE TO TAKE YOUR MONEY BACK AS THEY WILL WITHDRAW YOUR CREDIT CARD, FALSIFY DOCUMENTS AND CLAIM DAMAGES. I BRING THE CAR BACK WITH NO DAMAGES, PICTURES BEFORE AND AFTER WITH DATES TO BE CLEAR are NO DAMAGES AND THEY the WITHDRAW MONEY ANYWAY. AND BECAUSE we ACT IN GOOD FAITH AND GIVE our CREDIT CARD AS A WARRANTY IN Case we DAMAGE THE RENTAL CAR, or have an accident, THEY WILL USE THE DOCUMENT TO WITHDRAW YOUR MONEY, WITH NO PROOF OR JUSTIFICATIONS OR DOCUMENTs TO ATEST, PROOF THEIR CLAIM. YOU WILL SPEND SO MUCH TIME DEALING WITH THIS SCAM COMPANY THAT IS NO WORTH IT. ARE GOOD COMPANIES ON CARJET, GREECE WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE, ROMANIA TOO, BUT NOT SURPRICE RENTAL. STAY AWAY ARE COMITING FRAUD. ITS A SCAM COMPANY WITH NO ETICS, WHO CAN'T DO PROPER BUSINESS, HAVE BAD REPUTATION AND EXTORT PEOPLE. SUCH SCAMS SHOULDN'T HAVE ACCESS TO OUR CREDIT CARDS. ALLOW TO OPERATE ON THE MARKET. MY EXPERIENCE WAS IN ROMANIA. WE RENT FROM OTHER GENUINE COMPANIES, WAS ALL GOOD EXPERIENCES BUT SURPRICE CAR RENTAL ITS A SCAM, COMMIT FRAUD AND WE HAVE TO BE AWARE. DON'T RENT FROM THEM. HAVE CHEAP RENTAL BUT YOU WILL PAY THOUSANDS AFTER IN FALSE CLAIM DAMAGES

Bad experience with this rental company. Someone wonders how they can stay in business, well, I share the question. Never had any problems with car rentals for years in Portugal, somebody has to be the first and they are. Bad brakes of the car, many dammaged parts of the "carrosserie" as well. And without blinking an eye, added one more whereas we are absolutely sure it was not done by us. Low cost, sure, but very expensive in the end. To avoid.

This scam company will charge you for a micro cosmetic mark on your car not “previously” recorded. Avoid at all costs and use a more mainstream reputable rental company. If you do rent from them, take lots of high resolution photos of every inch of the car as proof of pre-existing “damages” that they could extort from you… buyer beware!
