“I rented a car from Cluj location . They gave me a car with 210000 km with a lot of scratches , bumps and dents . At the inspection , when I took the car , they put notes and I took many pictures . Also they blocked on my card a deposit of 1800 euros . They asked me to wash the car before I return it , what I did . They came with a flash lite and checked the car and they showed me a mark under the rear bumper and something on one of the mirror , very hard to see, almost not visible . I’m sure that the car was like this and already had tens of big scratches , bumps and dents, chips on the windshield and wheel covers and was almost impossible to count and record all of these . They charged me almost 500 euros for that . The whole process of renting this car was a joke . I was waiting for them when I took and when gave them back the car . I took an insurance from a third party company but they insisted to take there insurance ( 180 euro for 5 days ) and I refused . The marks I was charged were very minor , almost not visible. I’m sure that I’m not the first victim of this company . This is really a theft and is hard to refuse to pay when you have a deposit charged on your credit card of 1800 euros. Shame to Surprice Cluj România and I’ll try to inform and prevent people renting from this company how much is possible .”

Then I sat out front in this ghetto neighborhood until uber could pick me up. I was honestly scared for my life being stranded the 4 large, mean men and no means to defend myself.
Expedia- they don’t do refunds. I am appalled that they would even associate with this company and they can have the money… I’m lucky to have left with my life and not have someone steal $1000 from me. There’s always fine print. Don’t use these people ever. Ever.”
“We were forced to take out insurance because my credit card was only valid for 4 months. The terms of use state that the card must be valid until the end of the month of the return day. Paid 366 euros too much.
We had taken out full comprehensive insurance in advance, but we still had to pay extra.

“This is the worst Car rental service I have ever had. my experience was horrible as they claim that the reservation holds good only for 2 hours from the time of your booking. if for any reason you come later than 2 hours, they consider it as a "no show" and won't provide any refund. And were not willing to help since I booked this via Expedia, who is also at fault. These clauses are never clearly highlighted in the agreement and were reluctant to provide any kind of help or support. Absolutely want to make monies for wrong reasons and doesn't provide any assistance when you are a traveler from a different state. Absolutely HORRIBLE!! don't book unless you are ready to throw away your monies.”
“All of the reviews you read here are true. Avoid this company at all costs. Everything they say about the waiver and making you pay extra for toll roads is all true. We got tricked into the super expensive waiver but chose it rather than be stranded in the middle of nowhere. At least we won’t have to deal with their customer service to get deposit back. “This company have taken £322 from my deposit for existing damage, I have sent them the photos of the existing damage that they are claiming this money for but they are playing the ignorance card now. Danni at the Florence branch of Sur Price/Auto One is responsible for this awful service. He tried to trick us by not telling us about the damage at the time of return and then sent the bill later on. Such a dishonest person. Sadly for Danni we have photos of this existing damage.”
“No deposit refunded within the 25 business days they claim it could take. We have sent several emails to ask about the 600€ deposit, but all we get is BS answers saying that money are released, so it is a problem with our bank. We have, of course, contacted the bank and confirmed that there is no issue. As a prrof of release, surpricecar sent us a document issued by someone called Auto ONE with a not existing phone number.

“Do not use. We waited 4 hours for a shuttle to their off-site building which wax a 65e cab ride. They refused to take the Chase Saphire insurance (who we booked through) and wanted another 1309e for 3 weeks for insurance on top of what we paid. We finally went back to airport and rented through Hertz which was great.”
“Terrible experience renting from AutoOne at the Venice IT airport. First, the woman working behind the desk literally coughed in my face, then all over her hands while proceeding to touch my documentation, credit cards, and phone. Needless to say, I got very sick the next day, which is a problem as I and my musicians were traveling around Italy performing concerts. It severely impacted our trip on a professional level. And aside from that, she insisted we buy additional insurance that was supposed to be optional, otherwise she wouldn’t release the car to us. I guess it’s a good thing we did, though, because the check engine light came on almost as soon as we left the rental place, the gears stuck, and the car was covered in scratches. (She had told me she’d given us her “best car.”) What a joke! It was an absolute rip-off. Will never rent from this company again.”
