Horrific customer service. Booked a Thomas Cook holiday through Teletext, as they were the provider of the ATOL protection and not Thomas Cook I have to claim directly through Teletext. They won't even send me a claim form, refused to assist any further and have said the only option is to go through the courts system. Avoid at all costs and if you do book with them hope that nothing goes wrong.

Hi P, Thank you for your review and we are sorry to read your dissapointment. To help you please take a minute to look at yout ATOL certificate. If it advises you have booked a package and protected through Thomas Cook you will need to request a claim form via the CAA. We are sorry we do not have access to these. If your ATOL certificate advises you have booked a Multi-Contract we will then assist you. To help you further please can you provide us with your TT booking reference number and we will arrange a call to you. Hope this helps. Best Wishes Becky

All prices advertised are misleading, on trying to book we were told that only more expensive rooms were available. The advertisement of £49 went upto £100 per person and the pay monthly facility was only over 2 months to pay the holiday in full 5 months before the holiday date. On ending the call we were called back 3 times shortly after with the rep BEGGING for our custom.

Hi, We are sorry to read your concerns with regards to the prices shown on the website. We do try to provide the best possible service to all our customers and your feedback is appreciated. To clarify, we use suppliers live systems for flights and accommodation and prices are always fluctuating so the live price would be confirmed to you when you call our sales department. Being honest with our customers is our priority and we do advise about live pricing at various places on our website, “Prices change regularly, please call now for the live price”. Further, any optional extras such as baggage, transfers etc are not included in the advertised price and are optional the price shown is for accommodation and flights again as advised on the website. We have also noted your concerns regarding the sales agent and have escalated this issue to the relevant manager. We do value your custom and hope we have been able to clarify this matter for you. Best Wishes Becky

Hideously stressful experience . On phone for 2 hrs .Outsourced call centre share I could not understand what the man was saying. Had to spell out name numerous times then he still got it wrong on documents. Kept getting rung back from different numbers at one point I thought I was being conned. Payment system did not work after several attempts I said i did not want to proceed. They took my money and would not refund. Left feeling completely distressed and no point of contact. I am trying to find out how to take this complaint further and get my money back. Do not use this company!!

I booked through Teletext holidays. I was mis-sold my accommodation, it's not in the area we wanted and was told various things about travel times which are incorrect. Customer support are no support and are rude and definitely not interested in assisting. I have requested to speak to a manager but have not been able to, emails are replied to in broken English. I have asked them to listen to the calls on numerous occasions. They are just not interested. Once they have your money that's it! Steer clear! Never again!

Again a zero star. Booking a holiday to NY with a friend. Confirmed all okay and paid (more than the headline price but ok) then to be told sorry they now couldn't get the hotel room at that rate and I would need to pay another £200 pp. Told them no way it was their incompetence and I wanted to cancel the whole thing. No problem. Guy back on the phone to say actually it couldn't be cancelled as the flights had been booked and couldn't be cancelled. So ended up paying an extra £100 after a bit of arguing but still no confirmation arrived..... Feeling totally ripped off wish I had seen these reviews first! Think I may have just kissed goodbye to over £2K or rather my poor credit card company has as I will be asking for a full refund shortly.... NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY

If there was a zero it would be a zero, during the booking the full cost of the holiday including transfers was not mentioned until I had paid the deposit. When I questioned the cost of the transfer which was £192!! I was told if I wanted to remove the transfers I would lose my full booking as my flights were non refundable. I feel like I have been backed into a corner and emotionally blackmailed. Never ever will I even look at this company again. I am horrified at their customer service.

An absolute scam. Their way of getting you hooked on a good looking price online but once you call to book it it’s suddenly £100 more expensive. Happened to me on several occasions so I won’t bother calling them ever again as they are just trying to rip you off. Very untruthful website that’s using always the same argument that the prices always change during the day. Your better of going to onthebeach where you pay what you see. Teletextholidays prices are never the same as what they advertise. Don’t waste your time!

After booking a holiday through Teletext holidays for a large number of people at a higher price than was showing on their website, 24 hours later we received the dreaded phone call that one of our rooms had gone.  What they told us was that after receiving confirmation that our holiday was booked, that someone else had booked one of our rooms meaning that we would need an extra room because the hotel doesn't allow 4 people to sleep in a room. This would cost an extra £840. But Teletext could do it for £500. Now that's not bad after the initial shock that one of our 4 berth rooms had been taken. Remember this was 24 hours after we booked the holiday. After some debate of the price of payment, the guy asked us how much we were prepared to pay, so we said £100, as we had already had the confirmation of our already perfect holiday, albeit more expensive than the website showed. We agreed to pay £325 extra, after alot of pressure put on us as Carlos, pronounced Carlisle in a foreign accent, kept telling us he had the supplier on the phone and we may lose our holiday. This means that parents or other married couples have to be split up over the duration of the holiday. 1 adult and 1 child in a room, all because the hotel doesn't allow 4 in a room. Some holiday this is going to be. But, Carlos did say we will go on the list for a cancellation of a room, and we can get our money back. Does this sound like a company that is helping us after a genuine mistake / accident? And a costly one at that. I don't think so after reading alot of other reviews that people have left. Also the hotel is closed until May, so how can they tell me that someone else has got my room when they've got the "supplier" on the phone when it is all done on computers. I also read that they are encouraged to make phone calls like this to boost revenue. Continue to use at your peril.

If there was a zero star facility I would award the zero stars. To save up for 9 months as a single Dad taking his three kids away for first overseas holiday, then pay £280 more than advertised, then pay extra the following day because my kids are sat beside me (Ryanair rules), then to be booked into the wrong hotel in Tenerife .... trying to get a refund has been unbelievably stressful, just one piece of bull***t promise after another. And now they are advertising on TV - how can this company be allowed to operate, scam artists. Like most online complaints I got a message of regret from 'Kylie' (who obviously doesn't exist) and a promise that Customer Support would be in contact soon - one month on and still nothing. Go with a reputable organisation, recommended by a friend - not these scammers. Shay

If I could give no stars I would. Do not use Teletext Holidays. The supposedly customer support are rude and consistently lie to you. I have made 5 calls now all promising to resolve my issue within 24 to 48 hours and still after 4 months and numerous hours on the phone my issue isn't sorted. Surely there must be some governing body that stops this from happening. Absolutely shocking and appalling service!

Be aware people as after booking the customer service then is appalling ranging from not receiving tickets till just before the holiday (in which the flights were incorrect), lies been told, rude customer service representatives, 2 failed promises, complaints procedure that doesn’t allow you to talk to them and they do not respond within the time frame (or at all, even after email and phone correspondence). They don’t care and think rules don’t apply to them. This matter will be taken further

Absolutely awful service crooks and holding us to ransom Booked our holiday in February to New York for my mum and dad's 60th birthdays with them one month to go they explain to us there is a problem with United airlines canceling a flight leading us on for a week after asking us to pay an extra £600 in order to get to New York holding us to ransom during this time and when we explained that being too close to when we are due to go away people don't just have an extra £600 to pay when you've already paid for your holiday. To top it off when we asked for a full refund we were told they would only refund a the cost of the flights and not the hotel so now we are left with no holiday and we will have now lost £1222.48 so stay clear of this horrible company I hope no one else has the displeasure of dealing with this company going forward unbelievably angry.

I used teletext a few times in the past , but last time I was mislead. The prices you see online are not the final price you pay. the price i seen online was 136 per person, wich for a couple it would be 272. i called and the price i was given was 384 for 2. then they droppep to 329. I ended up buying because the guy i was talking was really pushy. i was told to go and shop around while he waited on the line and i wouldn't find a cheaper deal. when i switched off i found a cheaper deal. dont believe everything they say. also i was told the price was for a deluxe room and all the rooms are deluxe in that hotel i picked. it was the last time i used teletext.
