TT789002 If you would like to travel away abroad do not be tempted to book with these CROOKS. They cancelled our trip to crete last year and refused our refund. I'm writing a review on here to let other Holiday makers get a complete understanding of what to expect with this company. All the workers within this company are trained to steal your hard earned money. After waiting half a year to be issued a full complete refund they had the nerve to say to me that if I wanted my money back id have to pay a quarter of what the holiday is worth. To which is complete nonsense. They tell you the Holiday is fully protected by ATOL but when I called them atol refused to pay the money back to me because they claimed that the buisiness would have to fold first. Where as any other travel agents would tell you as long as you have paid for the insurance with them then you are completely covered. I recommend anyone wishing to book a trip away to think how deep their pockets are as you will never receive a refund of these wasters unless you are willing to spend ludicrous fees placed before a court to which is not worth the money or hassle.

I agree with the below from Anonymous, I have also been waiting for a refund for a cancelled holiday 2.6.2020 countless e-mails, phone calls and false promises. STILL NO REFUND £3680 NOT A SMALL AMOUNT??? Would not touch with a barge pole. Zero customer service.

I feel the 1 star rating is too high for this company. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM!!!! Teletext are refusing to refund hundred's of customers package holidays that were unable to go ahead due to the pandemic. This is illegal, they must adhere to the Package Holiday Regulations 2018, in which it states if your package holiday cannot commence as planned, the provider must provide a full refund for any aspects of the trip that did not go ahead as planned, or a credit voucher if the customer is happy with this. Disgusting way to treat customers. I will never book with teletext holidays, and I will make sure every person I cross is aware of what this company is doing to their customers.

Well what can I say, after countless calls, emails etc they are still refusing to pay back after nearly a year of false promises. I don't understand why its so hard to refund money this money? Surely its illegal what they're doing? Don't bother booking with this company, now or in the future. They cannot be forgiven for this atrocious customer service.

TT786850 Absolute day light robbers... Held money since feb 2020.. Holiday cancelled 28.7.2020 Refund promised..28 days Refund promised...still waiting ..28 days Refund promised...by the 30.11.2020 Final date was 30.11.2020. Dec 2020 ....1 more week.. 28.12.2020...today...absolutely nothing received .. Wow .in-between all this we have had countless calls to them. Countless emails to them. When I say countless I mean countless as its been that many times. I have long covid.unable to work..my partner has lost her small mobile business.. We could have done with the Refund of nearly £2000. Very very dissatisfied with customer service, completely shocked a company this size would rip people off. Please be aware of this company..!!!!!

TT782664. All this company do is lie to you, been waiting for flight refund since 2020 still had nothing even though Ryanair sent me an email sep 2020 saying they had refunded the amount to teletex holidays

TT751862, wrote emails, don't answere, ring up rude people even put the phone down when u want to speak to a supervisor. Been waiting for a refund since July £1850, my son went with another company for the same holiday and has been paid out already, DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY,

Worst company I have ever dealt with! Illegal refusing refunds, staff are rude and hang up on you, emails never responded to and have been regularly lied to by staff. Avoid at all costs!

Dont bother booking with them once they have ypur money they dont care. They gave us a booking for an afternoon flight when wr paid they said it was 7.30 in the morning and now they cant change it .they are terrible on the phone ..do not trust them

Disgusting service! They are holding onto my refund! My holiday was due next month during lockdown and they told me to "risk it and go" as the flights are still active! Thats illegal!

I have been waiting 7 months for a refund, I have sent you hundreds of emails, messaged you daily even taken to Twitter to get your attention & sending you a recorded delivery letter of 14 days notice of court which you ignored. You have constantly lied over what's happening even telling me my refund was processed on Monday. I am still waiting for payment your lies still keep coming. I bored of your excuses, you have caused me health issues & due to you my bank is frozen. DO NOT BOOK A HOLIDAY THROUGH TELETEXT, UNLESS YOU WANT PURE INCOMPETENCE

If I could give them a zero I would. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. I booked a holiday for October. It was cancelled by the operator. Was told by Teletext that I would not get a refund until January. The refused to email me confirmation that I was due a refund and would only send a text telling me my holiday was cancelled. I have called repeatedly to find out about my refund and I am just put on hold. Today I have been put on hold for over an hour so far. The service is appalling. After using them for at least the last 10 years to book my holidays I will never give them a penny of my money again. Do not book with them

DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM Booked my holiday for June last year they cancel and no refund 7 months later They hang up on your calls And ignore your emails and are generally unhelpful and don’t stick to what they say!! Starting my claim with a solicitor today.

Oh Teletext you just get worse, 6 months of waiting for a Refund, 6 weeks with a frozen bank account due to your lies to my chargeback & then yesterday you called & promised my refund by this morning. Well guess what no Refund & more lies. Your Incompetence & customer service is appalling. I notified you of 14 days of court proceedings beginning of December, I email & message you daily & you still can't sort yourself out. I will be starting court proceedings tomorrow. Ref - TT772654

Very bad and fraud Waiting for my refund since Jun 2020 a lot of lies fake emails and basically a fraud company I'll go back to my credit card company to get my money back! DO NOT USE!!!

Had my holiday cancelled back in April 2020. 8 months later and still no closer to getting a refund. They give email addresses that don't work and put the phone down on you when they eventually answer the phone. I've spent so many hours trying to get the refund I am due by law. Stay away from Teletext holidays, they are unlawful crooks.

IMPORTANT REVIEW.... PLEASE READ - firstly... I give ZERO stars Secondly - I have a very long story but I will keep this very short in terms of a review. I have had 1.5 years of HELL with this company. 1. Lied to me and pressurised me into making a booking very late at night. 2. Wouldnt allow me to cancel 10 mins after booking and then Ignored me for months after lots of emails/phone calls to speak to a manager requesting my money back. 3. Ignored every letter I sent to them special delivery as advised by CAB. 4. I paid to take them to a small claims court after they never responded to any letter 5. They wasn't willing to negotiate during mediation once court made them reply. 6. I continued with court proceedings and paid extra fees to take this all the way. 7. I won my case and they had to pay me back! Including all my fees. This looks short and sweet above but my god this was one of the most stressful times of my life. It is definately worth the hassle of going all the way to court with this disgustingly poor company if you are owed money from them or they are breaking your consumer rights. You are protected by the law! I will add - The court case had to be moved to another date as teletext couldn't even get their evidence into court on time as per the order ( I even said to the judge... this is exactly the reason we are here - lack of communication!) They deserve to be shut down immediately. Mentally tourchering me and scaremongering me for months and months was on another level. I am glad this is all over and this is the last time I will even look at their name ever again!! PLEASE PLEASE never book with this company. I know they are cheap for people who struggle to go on holiday as a family etc but I ask you to try and find the extra money to book with another company. One thing I have taken from this whole experience is to actually pay more for aftercare service. I can guarantee to you if any part of your experience with teletext goes wrong you are totally screwed! The customer service behind them is utterly shocking and I would never want anyone to go through what I have been through. Good riddance to you teletext. Hopefully someone somewhere will shut you down sooner rather that later. The more people I can inform about your disgusting behaviour the better. You should be ashamed of yourself!!
