Left for 4 hours on hard shoulder. No recovery trucks available and no patrol van came. Highways towed me off motorway. AA got me a taxi after telling me recovery would be with me after midnight. I called them at 6.30pm and I have full cover! Left the keys for the keys with Tescos as instructed but noone could find them the next day! Ended up they had given them to another AA patrol technician who was in for something else! Hopeless!

The absolute worst customer service I have ever encountered. I paid extra for home recovery to have a van come out, shrug at me, and turn off the fault light! Which came back on as soon as I turned the engine on and I then had to get my car to a garage myself! Despite paying for this very reason. When I sent a complaint I received one response which has said that the agent did checks on the oil and coolant levels in the car, a road test, and that I signed to agree all of this. When I had asked what I needed to sign, I was told there was nothing to sign. Which means the agent fraudulently signed on my behalf! And none of these tests were done! The end of this one and only email regarding my complaint said that it was their final decision - despite no one discussing this me to hear that it isn’t true - and that if I wanted I could report them to an ADR provider, but that they would ignore it! Absolutely appalling. I will be cancelling as I assume I won’t be getting the money back and have basically paid £50 to watch someone shrug

Had an AA warranty with a used car, warranty did not cover the broken regulator on the window, only the motor, so completely pointless warranty. Please do not trust any company offering an AA warranty, as these are worthless.

I am absolutely appalled by the service we have received from the AA today. Our car broke down at 2.30pm just outside of Barnsley, and we are still stuck now over 160 miles from home over 10 hours later. The customer service shown from the AA has been DISGRACEFUL and I would NOT recommend them. The AA have a lot to answer for.

Absolute joke, diagnosed battery was a problem when it was the alternator. They get commission for battery sales. Then advised to go to there “mates” garage to get the problem fixed. They ordered the wrong part, no car for the 2 nd day. Do not buy!!

Audrina Daniel-Prince is a fantastic instructor. I passed my test on my first go and I attribute that to her teaching! If you are a nervous driver, have a tendency to overthink/ self doubt she will boost your confidence and get you where you need to be! A fun and calming influence - it was a pleasure to have such a lovely instructor- thanks so much!! :)

Absolutely shocking customer care. Our car is still sat on our drive, nearly three weeks after an accident. We have done all the chasing, between the AA and repair shop. The AA seem incapable of organizing a replacement car. Big mistake using this lousy outfit. You live and learn.

Yesterday Paul, from Hartlepool, came to assess my car's problem, when it started braking when it should have been accelerating! it was job no. 1898. He recognised the fault straight away, rang S.G.Petch in Darlington and asked me if I was confident enough to drive it to the garage, with him behind me all the way (he had done a temporary repair). I agreed to that, we got to the garage, left the car and I had a lift in the AA van home. As soon as we got back, he rang a hire company and organised a courtesy car for me, which arrived about 2hrs later. I cannot thank him enough, as I was initially very frightened by the way the car behaved. His kindness and good sense, added to his obvious skill stopped my stomach churning and helped me to relax. What a great guy! I have been a member of the AA for over 50 years and only called them twice, when my A40 car ran out of petrol on the M1 in 1971 and yesterday.

Disgusting customer service. Last night car broke down, and we called their services at 11:00, they promised to come by with a recovery truck at 12:00 and only arrived at 2:00 leaving us stranded in the highway for over 3 hours. Offered a taxi service to drive us home afterwards, Was promised the taxi at 4, which changed to 5, then 6 and finally arrived at 7. We were waiting for a second taxi for almost two hours after the first one left. We were kept waiting and waiting and had to make continuous calls to the company (AA), who were extremely unhelpful and kept promising times that they did not keep to. I do understand that their company are very busy but it was completely ridiculous how they kept delaying the times without even notifying us. We finally arrived home at 12:00 at night after spending the whole day waiting for the AA to do it’s job. From Kumar (they also charged us for every single calls for recovery truck after already paying 3 times yesterday to now)

I have been with the AA for 2 months and I called back 5 times to make sure I was covered for everything, to which they confirmed I was. My car was badly damaged during a police incident where i was a bystander, the police closed the road and i was unable to move my vehicle. As a result I claimed on my insurance and the advisor stated that my car would be deemed as a 'write off,' I had to argue that my car needed to be taken to storage and eventually it was. Despite previously calling 5 times to confirm i was covered in the event of any incident, i have been told I do not have the Car Hire Add On (which is free). I was then told, despite being Fully Comprehensive that I am not eligible to drive other cars without being a Named Driver as I am now classed as 'not having physical access to a vehicle' even though my car has not been confirmed as a write off by a mechanic. It has been 12 days, I have no access to a vehicle, had no updates despite calling every day. Today after an hour on hold to the engineering team, they confirmed that my car is still in storage and the storage company refused access to my vehicle when the AA attempted to recover it... the AA have left my car there and not attempted to recover my vehicle since. In my 6 years of driving, I have never been involved in any accident or claim. The way I have been treated is absolutely disgusting and I have contacted Trading Standards and The Ombudsman.

My exhaust came loose while on staycation in Co Wexford had driven up from Cork. It was nearly hanging off but within an hour the AA came to my rescue and fixed it and it would have been a disaster otherwise, They're brilliant and I greatly appreciate all their help today thanks so much 🤗 🤗

We broke down on the final day of our holiday in Cornwall last week. The AA promised to get us and our car home via recovery vehicle. This arrived as promised at 7.45 am and took us as far as Bridgewater, when the driver said he had no further driving time allowed and someone else would pick us up. We waited from 12.30pm until 7.45pm for the next recovery vehicle. During this time the AA - largely unreachable by phone - had promised we would be collected at 4pm, but no one had arrived. This second recovery vehicle loaded us all on board and proceeded to break down about an hour later. We were left at Gordano services in the dark, everything closing down around us, with no offer of completing our further 200 mile journey home to Lancashire. The second recovery driver had recommended I call the AA and insist on a taxi home. Again, it took some considerable time to reach the AA, but a taxi was ordered and we arrived home at around 2am, eighteen hours after originally being picked up. I appreciate it was an extremely busy day, but we had been dumped and abandoned twice. The AA needs to hire more staff and more recovery vehicles instead of leaving people stranded for hours on end. The 'service' we received that day was appalling. We will not be continuing to use the AA and certainly could not recommend it to anyone.

I have had joint breakdown cover for with the AA for 17 years. The latest renewal was much higher than that offered to new customers. Customer services came close to matching it but not close enough! Obviously loyal customers are not important. Farewell AA and hello RAC who did match the offer!

Total and utter shambles! I had a puncture yesterday at 3pm which needs a new tyre. Complete incompetency by AA means I haven’t managed to get away on holiday yesterday evening, and it’s still not fixed! Serious training issue here! Wrong information given by AA call handler. To say I’m upset is an understatement!
