What a disgusting bunch of cop outs. I had an accident on the motorway last Monday. A lorry hit me and I phoned the AA. They did not offer me any help at all. The Accident Assist Service is a joke. The fact is the person on the other side of the phone can make a decision without knowing the full facts. Apparently I was at fault so they can cop out any assistance. As a result they can then charge extortionate call out charges. Absolutely appalling service for such a large company. Been left out of pocket for nearly 600 pounds and refuse to reimburse my costs. Do not use the AA. Full stop

Horrendous customer service! Waited 7 days for a quote from one of their approved mechanics after being promised one within 2 days. Refused to help or push the mechanics to hurry up or even communicate when they could fit me in. On the day it was supposed to be fixed (after paying £600) they asked for an extra £1000 (the car didn’t even cost that much) when I said don’t worry I’ll try somewhere else they finally pushed their communications with constant phone calls about they’ve already started so we can’t just make them put it back together. Anyway once I put my foot down and said I don’t care give me my money back and put it back together the £1000 worth of extra work wasn’t essential anyway and it would easily run without all these added parts. Criminal behaviour by a supposed national trusted company

Absolutely terrible, my daughter was stuck on a hard shoulder on a dual carriage way, first was told half hour because she was in a dangerous situation, then told an hour, then another message to say would be there in 2 hours, on a dark night and vulnerable, in the end she had to drive the car with fully smashed windscreen as she was feeling so vulnerable, I would never recommend AA to anyone

Be Careful with AA terms and conditions! Last week I realised my mot had expired by a week, I booked the mot and arranged for my car to be collected on trade plates by the garage, I went to start the car on my driveway and it was just clicking so I phoned the AA to explain but even though the car was on my drive and I have home start they refused to help! I explained I’m disabled and a blue badge holder and I’m unable to fix myself if it is just the battery. I have been with the AA for over 30 years on and off and have only used them twice and that was over 10 years ago. I have now cancelled my membership and will use the RAC as I could have broken down any where and as I can’t walk properly due to my disability i can’t take the risk with the attitude of the AA after my phone call with them.

I used the AA service for the first time ever due to a flat tire on the motorway at night, we were saved by a wonderful man called Anthony who came and met us in our dilemma. After getting us off the road to safety, he was very kind and helpful making me feel at ease and look at possible solutions. He helped us come with the best possible plan to get the car fixed and communicated with my insurance scheme arranging accomodation so we weren't stuck outside in Swindon for the night waiting to get the car sorted. He even called around and took us to multiple accomodations till found one as most places were fully booked. He really went above and beyond anything I was ever expecting. A really incredible guy who fixed the problem and made me feel really safe too. Thank you Anthony for everything and AA I will be signing up to a membership with you.

today I couldn't start my car in Picton and called AA. The car started b4 the AA mechanic arrived and when I got him on the phone to let him know it had started he discussed all possible reasons why it periodically won't start. As I was nervous about it happening again I asked him to take a look anyway. Vaughan (Picton) found the problem very quickly and fixed it. We had had the car to the garage 3 times, spent a lot of money, and no one had recognised this problem. He also found a rats nest under the bonnet! Vaughan, the AA guy went more than the extra mile, gave me loads of info and I am incredibly grateful. Thankyou Vaughan.

It took about half an hour to establish a meaningful contact with the AA, and once having done so an approximate time for arrival was established, which was over three hours later, they failed to arrive. Beware of agreeing for them to take your car to a professional garage,in this case about 4/5 miles away, they charge £300 for doing. After they failed to turn up I cancelled them and expected the return of the £300 I’d paid. They took £99 and reimbursed the balance. The ‘service’ is dreadful. I shall never use them again.

Shocking experience. Broke down. AA man arrived and aggressively questioned my son and I if we were the card holder of the AA membership - my dad was but because I spoke to him first he assumed wrongly we didn’t have membership. Nearly didn’t help us as we were stranded. The AA man was horrible and we were in the right.

We had to have a home visit this morning. We are so impressed with the AA as we only waited less than 20 minutes. The man was very professional and courteous and reassured us completely. Thank you for your help AA.

So bad, rang regarding being broken down at home. Was informed by the not so engaging colleague on the phone that it doesn’t cover me. She went straight onto the payment and price of 100 pounds before informing me that it doesn’t cover me. Shocking customer service

2 months and STILL NO REFUND and NO UPDATE This is a general feedback for AA customer service. I am due a refund for my previous car insurance. I am utterly disappointed by how they handled a simple changes in updating my car registration. It's been more than 2 months since my policy was cancelled and I was told at the time the refund couldn't be processed because of some internal technical error and then I was told it's been looked at by finance team. I wonder if anyone is actually looking into my claim at all!! I have raised sooo many requests since then, also spent hours and hours on the web chat just to get an update. STILL NO REFUND and NO UPDATE

Saturday, 14th sept 2024 we had a tyre blow out on our motorhome near the A14 junction with the A1, northbound near Peterborough. The AA man (Alan, i believe) arrived within half an hour & provided absolutely first class service - I can’t praise him highly enough. He got us to where we needed to be & recommended the best course of action for us to get the tyre mended & get home safely. Phil & Jane
