Stay away!!! Very scammy!!! Bought BMPCC6K Pro and returned same day OVER A MONTH ago and still no refund. Looks like their dodgy company driver stole it and they are making it really difficult for me to try and get my refund even though I did everything I was told to do by them. They just keep trying to pass on the blame and being very difficult about the whole thing. Can’t help but feel being scammed big time. Lucky I have evidence of all the conversations and CCTV footage of their driver picking up the parcel, but they are trying to blame delivery company and not willing to take responsibility. Looks like will have to go into court as it is a significant amount of money. Don’t make my mistake and buy from one of the more legitimate companies.

Purchased a controller for my studio. It was faulty...I proved it....sent the original package back following the protocols. Thomann refused to accept it due to some "tax" reason sending it back to the UAE. I have since moved to a different country so now it is a lost cause. Thomann not interested in helping..they also ignored the fact that paypal ruled in my favour..so money is a write off.....will buy my music gear elsewhere in the future...shortsighted thieves

Ordered a flight case one month ago, the item was in stock so, I ordered its. After a couple of days I relied an email stating that the order had been processed and I would receive tracking details within 24 to 48 hours - this never happened. On contacting the company through their chat robot, I'm sure that it's not a real person - only to be told it could take up to 4 days before I received the tracking details! 4 days is their delivery period.... A real person would never be stupid enough to say that the despatch of the item is dependant on the location of the item in the warehouse. I then informed them that as the item would not be there in time that they must not deliver the case as nobody would be there to accept it and they confirmed that would be ok with them. Since then I have tried to get my money back without any success, they are keeping my money until their courier returns the item that was never delivered to me to ensure that there is no fault with the item! I never had the item, they acknowledged that they did not deliver it and yet they still have my money one month later. Their customer service department is laughable, I have sent email after email, used their chat service and still they have kept my money. I can only conclude that they are thief's and liars as they have kept my money and lied about their service. If you want to deal with a company that will deliver the items you have paid for in the time that they say they will then I suggest that NSP Cases will suit you better. If you want to deal with a company that will lie to you, keep your money and refuse to speak to you then, I think Thomann may well be your new favourite company. Germany efficiency? Yeah, that made me laugh too.

I purchased a guitar which had a number of faults which are very obvious and should not have passed Quality Control at The Factory, or Thomann’s own checks prior to sending it to me. The black paint on two of the holes for the neck screws is chipped. – This neck has either been removed, or the paint was chipped at the factory. The blue stain has bled into the wood-coloured binding in the upper cutaway. The screws and washers which hold the neck to the body are tarnished. The guitar has 3 pickups, one of which is missing the plastic film protection that comes on all pickups of all new guitars. At the time of placing the order, there was a B Grade Guitar on offer from the seller. When I returned to the seller's website to report the faults, the B Grade was no longer available. - I strongly suspect that the seller sent me the B Grade, despite that I paid full price for a brand new unused and fault free item! I am 59 years of age. - I have played guitar for 50 of those years, have been to university to study Jazz and Popular Music Performance and have been a successful Full Time Professional Guitar Teacher since 2003. I have owned played and handled many guitars. I contacted Thomann to attempt to resolve this. - The only resolution that they have offered, was for me to return the guitar at my own cost and to additionally incur customs clearance charges! Thomann claims that the faults are minor imperfections which are common on a guitar at this price point. - I don't consider them to be minor at all. I purchased the same make and model guitar from the seller on 20/07/2020 at a similar price, which is flawless. – Three of my students have the same make and model of guitar, which are flawless. The same make and model of guitar is well reviewed independently and there is no suggestion of common faults of any nature. – Once I opened a PayPal claim for a full refund and return at Thomann’s costs, they agreed to take the guitar back and supply a postpaid label. The guitar was returned to Thomann’s UK address as per their own label, which they and DHL Tracking have confirmed. – However, Thomann are now refusing my refund until the guitar is returned to Germany, clears Customs and arrives back at their German address. -This stance has no basis in morals, or legislation! Like many businesses, you don’t see the worst until something goes wrong!

Thomann.de is amazing. I came to their showroom to choose the hi-hat cymbals and some percussion and ended spending the whole day there listening to a different models and had finally found mine. Big thanks to the whole drum department crew and especially to Clemens who took care of me, helping to choose and giving advises. Hard to imagine a better weekend. Will definitely return. A+++ service. Ilya, Prague

STRESS AND GRIEF BUYING FROM THOMANN! I’ve been a loyal customer of Thomann for over 10 years, and always recommended people to buy from them, but after my last transaction I won’t be buying from them ever again. I received a guitar with a damaged neck and contacted them expecting a swift response for an exchange but that didn’t happen. They asked for pictures which I sent, then they asked for more pictures which I sent again, and then they completely ignored me after that! After a couple of days of not hearing from them, I contacted them to see what was happening, and they told me that I had to take the large parcel to a DHL drop off point! Pathetic! Bad service! Unnecessary stress and grief! There are plenty of trustworthy companies out there with great customer service, unfortunately Thomann isn’t one of them!

Avoid this company like the plague. They sent me faulty tubes. I understand this can be a touchy and debatable subject, but it was their approach that insulted me and their product damaged an original 80s JCM 800. They acted like they could care less. Below is the way they will talk to. Me: Good Morning, I purchased 2 x El34 Groove tubes from you and they stopped working in 3 months. The tubes burned out my 1984 Marshall JCM 800 that I have to put into repair. I would like to know what you can do for me as I need new tubes and I have to pay the cost of repair. Them: Hello, We are sorry to hear of the problem with your Groove Tubes EL34M Duet (1x 296806).Tubes are subject to blown if they are not properly handled. Are they been installed by an expert? Does the amp was biased properly after the installation? In any case the warranty does not cover improper use of the tubes. Please let us know and do not hesitate to contact us in case you have further questions. Me (getting angry): The tubes were tested in two different fixed bias amps (1969 Sunn Solarus and 1984 Marshall JCM 800), both running on EL34s. Two other sets have been used and tested (Sovtek and Svetlana), without an issue. At least one of the tubes is defective and caused electrical problems in both amps and now my Marshall has a burnt tube socket. I have been doing this for 20+ years. Kindly advise how your company will approach this situation. Them: We have forwarded the information to the relevant department in order to discuss different possibilities to resolve this issue. Once we have received the required information from them, we will be in contact with you. In the meantime could you please send us a video to show our experts the problem occurred? Should you have any further questions, feel free to contact us at any time. Me (getting angrier) If you mean by video putting these tubes back into one of my amps and turning it on then no, I cannot do that. Like I said, it already damaged my Marshall. I would be happy to send you pictures of the faulty tube as you can clearly see the damage on the prongs, glass and sealant around the plastic base. Them: In this case the pictures are no longer needed as I received an answer from our technicians. In such cases you always have to check the Bias when putting tubes in different sorts of amps. Fixed Bias has nothing to do with checking Bias. And fixed Bias does not indicate that you can put in every set of tubes without damaging the tubes or the amp. Fixed Bias only means that you could put in tubes with the same rating as the original tubes (if you would be able to get some of those). One should always check the Bias after replacing the (power-) tubes !From this description seems that you did not check the Bias accordingly. Since the the 6 months warranty period for tubes is over, you can send us the tubes and we can check if they are defective. If so we can forward those to the service partner and maybe they will replace it. But in regards to the amplifier we are not responsible for the damage. If you have any further questions on the matter please send a direct reply to this email. Me (really angry) The tube is faulty and caused damage to my amp. The EL34 tubes are the same/similar rating and my amp has been at the same bias setting for over 20 years and I have never had a problem. The biasing variance is minimal under these circumstances and I run the tubes at low bias settings for a cleaner sound. This is unacceptable and not how a company should approach their customers and you shouldn't assume your customer doesn't understand how to operate their equipment. I will be leaving a bad review and I will never purchase from your company again.

I ordered a set of speakers to the UK. Upon receiving the confirmation email there was a note to say that my order would be subject to several charges payable on delivery that would bring the total price to 33% more than I was charged by Thomann.de I emailed the sales representative to cancel the order and recieved no reply. I then called their office in the UK and was told that as the order had only been dispatched a couple of hours ago they would cancel the order and I would receive a refund when the package returned to their premises. As it turned out this did not happen and the package arrived while I was out, leaving me with no option to send it back with the courier and landed with over £100 in extra charges on a package that was never supposed to be delivered. I enquired with the courier as to whether they had recieved any instructions from Thomann.de and they told me they had no record of any correspondence from Thomann.de. I would not recommend this company. I do not consider them honest and their customer service is terrible. I'll never use them again, and neither should you.

I bought what i thought was a new UAFX Starlight Echo Station delay pedal and received a product with an ugly Thomann sticker on the original packaging indicating that the product was used for a photo shoot or for audio recordings. I contacted the helpdesk and after two days I received a short message that according to Thomann it is not a b-stock but the product has been used for a photo shoot. Used but not a b-stock, no sorry or any other solution? I asked them to send the pictures of this 'photo shoot', no more reaction. What a crappy webshop this is, last time I buy something there!

Avoid buying from this company if you live in UK. I was hit with an import tax and VAT on delivery at my door and thought this unfair so refused the item and then asked for a refund - which was agreed - but when checking the amount I had been refunded - it was less the delivery and import tax - so I was over £30 out of pocket and only a bad experience to show for this! Terrible way to do business.

I would avoid purchasing from this company. First off they sent me a defective guitar. The neck of the guitar was at an improper angle to the body. Instead of accepting the return, they told me that it was within factory specs and I should just shim the neck. Not something you want to hear after purchasing a new guitar. Then, to make things worse, they refused to publish my review of the guitar on their website. So now we know that all the reviews of all their products are suspect..... clearly they skew them towards the positive. This not only hurts them but all websites that provide reviews. How can you trust them when they control what is published and what isn’t? Look for your musical equipment elsewhere..... you’ll thank me.

We ordered a HB guitar online from Thomann Music and realized it was a lefty. Within minutes we emailed their customer service to cancel so we could order the righty. Shortly after we got a confirmation email and replied as instructed with same request. The next day we got a shipping confirmation email and once again contacted Oxana (apparently this is who runs their customer service) via email to help us straighten out things. Then we called her and she was combative and denied we ever emailed. She wouldn’t help us at all. I then Forwarded all the emails to her proving we reached out early and often. and have not heard back. We are very disappointed that Thomann apparently doesn’t monitor or return customer inquiries and we are getting stuck with a $70 shipping charge and a long wait to get our money back. Businesses like this need to be held accountable when they choose to neglect customer communications. Highly recommend NOT doing business with Thomann. Heck....I’m not even sure they are a legit business. I’m a guitarist of 40 years and this guitar was intended for a student.
