My partner brought my iPad Air in for repair at Timpson, based at Asda Falmouth Superstore, on 25 March 2021. The screen was cracked and just needed replacing. The normal place we go to for any electronic repairs was closed due to Covid-19 restrictions. This was the first time I’ve ever been to Timpson for an electronic repair – and it’ll be my last now, thanks to my experience. Last Saturday, 24 April 2021, I had to return my iPad for a third time – because every time I collect my iPad, it comes back with a new and different problem that it’s never had before! The first time I returned it, the screen was faulty – it kept acting as if parts of the screen were being pressed when they weren’t. Ghosting, I believe it’s called. The next time I returned it was due to the home button not working. I’ve never had that problem before. I returned it for a third time because the iPad keeps switching itself off. And for this pleasure I’ve paid £80.95. Just to top off my experience, the manager of the shop called me today – I haven’t spoken to her before because whenever I’ve collected/returned my iPad she’s not been there. Do you think she apologised to me? No, of course not – instead of apologising, she tried to say that all the problems with my iPad wee due to a repair carried out at a previous store. What utter rubbish! Yes, I had the screen, possibly the battery, replaced at some point, but that was about two years ago and it’s not had a problem since, until I needed the screen repaired in March 2021. Needless to say, I’m sorry I ever took my iPad to Timpson. I have totally lost faith in their ability to repair my iPad and do not believe my iPad will ever be fully functioning again. Should this be the case, I will be seeking a replacement for my iPad Air from Timpson or report them to Trading Standards.

I went to Asda timpsons two weeks ago in Cannock, Staffordshire. I asked the man to change the batteries in my two watches. He went to the computer and said they would cost me £22 each or £28 for a lifetime warranty, that would be for the latter £56 could not believe it. Usually I go to a local jeweller with my radley watches etc it costs £6 for a battery, timpsons are making a huge profit off people because of lockdown won’t go near them. I can’t afford £56 for watch batteries. What a rip off !

Went to Timpson at Sainsburys Melton Road Leicester. Needed batteries for two watches. Didn't manage to remember the guy's name who served me but I was really impressed with attitude and how helpful he was. I had forgotten my battery for life card but he replaced battery anyway without charge. Many thanks to him, lovely to know there are still people around who go the extra mile. Thankyou

I visited the Timpson co-located with Asda in Roehampton to get some keys cut. Matt could not have been more helpful or knowledgeable and even though the keys were not in stock he ordered them and contacted me when they arrived. He was friendly, personable and went above and beyond to help me

I had two Ingesoll keys cut today at Pimlico Hardware. They stuck in the lock and the barrel had to be replaced. Very bad news. I was extremely nervous about having more keys cut but Seb at Timpsons on the Kings Road cut six for me and they all work perfectly. Fabulous service. Oh how I wish I’d gone there first. But you live and learn. Top marks Timpsons and Seb !

I visited the timpsons store front in Morriston supermarket in the gyle shopping centre Edinburgh today I was looking to have new heals and new soles on my belstaff boots. Stand in manager for today was no help whatsoever, every question was met with a big NO. Can't do it have to send away cost you £100. Back in November 2020 I brought another pair of belstaff boot for the same service and the manager did the job without a problem and cost £40. Very disappointed with today visit.

I turned up the afternoon to the Timpsons in BS39 7SW to get one simple key cut. It was about 13.30hrs today - 18/01/2021. The young man on duty asked if I want to come back in 5min,- so I responded that I go to do a quick shopping. 10min later, I got my key cut , I refused to take a receipt as I thought I don’t need it. I drove home - checked the new key and to my disappointment, the new key didn’t work. This supposed to be my spare key. I returned back to the shop immediately and found the same guy . He was very annoyed that I returned with his badly done product. He was very rude and argumentative, responding that he is sure he has done good job and the key should work. I asked his name and the name is f his Principal - he refused abruptly and his facial expression was very aggressive. He has done another key cut but all his attitudes and absolute lack of manners was unnecessary. What a damaging attitude of this boy to such a big company with reputation for excellence and great customer service of which I experienced in various branches in UK, but unfortunately not today. I wasted my fuel to drive up and down , I faced very stressful and bad service, I wasted my time .

Timpsons Sainsburys Tritton Road. Some of the poorest customer service I've received. Took watch for a replacement battery under battery for life scheme. Passed watch and battery for life card to member of staff. Response was " you'll need to go to morrisons or Asda, we're closing in an hour". My response was surely it only takes a couple of minutes. Staff response "well their closing 50% of outlets for 5 weeks so doing nothing just waiting for notice to close, cant help you". I just took my watch and card back. Yes these are difficult times and we are all under pressure. This guy might not like it but its customers who help to pay his wages now and in the future. I will thing again before I use Timpsons and part up with hard earn cash,

Needed 4 keys to be cut in Longton, Timpsons quoted over £30 for the job, I went 2 minutes around the corner and paid Below £20. I asked for the best price and was informed that it was a set charge. The independent store I went to were very efficient and even gave me a free coloured key head and ring to carry them on. I think that the difference in cost, over £10 was too much to excuse for a 5 minute service, and I will not be tempted to use them again. The attendant was, however, polite.

Twice the price of independent key cutters. Also they added onto the original price they quoted when I picked up the keys.

I recently wrote an excellent review about my experience at Morrison’s in Troon and with customer service worker Mark. However, when I went back today with an issue with my phone, there were no smiles or niceties, just rudeness and defensiveness. I will not be going back there to get my phone “sent off for repair” due to his negligence. Nor will I ever be using the service again. Change your attitude mate. It’s great when things go well, but a true sign of good customer service is acknowledging mistakes and graciously trying to help to correct them, and not seeing them as bothersome.
