Great selection of cruise, team very able and keen to help. One critic.....if I book a cruise which says availability......then there is a hold on cabins.....why does it take so long to remove a hold and actually find out if you get onboard. I understood you hold the cabins for only 48 hours! That part of the booking has really frustrated me.

Hi Terri, Thank you very much for taking the time to write us a review! TourRadar works with over 2,000 different tour operators with 37,000 tours worldwide to bring you the biggest selection of scheduled, multi-city group tours. If a passenger has a hold directly with the tour operator and wishes to swap their hold to TourRadar it can take time to complete the swap. In order for TourRadar to process a hold or booking swap, we need to directly contact the tour operator. Depending on where the tour operator is located there can be a timezone difference, which can influence the hold swap time. We appreciate your feedback and thank you for choosing TourRadar! Overall the booking was easy, except for the confusion about the First, Middle & Last name, as usually Chinese do not have middle name. The other confusion was about the booking of the arrival & departure transfer, I did not understand that the booking goes by per car booking instead of per person. Luckily the Tourradar staff emailed me to inform, thanks for the good service. I have chatted with a Tourradar staff, Jarrad prior my booking, he was friendly and responsive towards my queries. The tour filters are well thought of, it helped me to narrow my search effectively.

They provide many different tours and spell out the day to day itineraries for each. This allowed for great comparisons and we were able to zero in on what worked best for us.

It was a good experience selecting and signing up for the tour. The trouble I am still having is buying insurance for the trip. I tried numerous times but the site is not responding correctly, asking some questions several times even though I had already filled in. I still have not bought the insurance coverage yet. My booking experience of my TourRadar presented no problems. However, I was appalled that the tour-recommended insurance for travelers over 70 costs almost $200 more than that available for travelers younger than 70. That is blatant age discrimination. The tour is advertised as suitable for people between ages 15 and 99. I am in excellent health and resent being punished for my seniority instead of rewarded for my good condition at my age.

Here at TourRadar, we do not sell travel insurance ourselves but have a company that we recommend to all our travellers. Many travel insurance companies do not sell insurance to travellers past a certain age, so travel insurance does tend to cost a bit more for passengers ages 70 or above. We always encourage our travellers to explore all their insurance options and choose a company best suited to their needs and budget. At first I was a bit confused about the relationship between Tourradar and Portugal Travel who is the provider of the cruise service. I've received correspondence from both Portugal Travel and Tourradar. Perhaps the connection between Tourradar and the tour agents they work with needs to be clear. Otherwise the booking experience was good

I was disappointed that trip insurance was not available because of my age and also that there was no assistance beyond a website reference for airfare. I was expecting a full service travel company.

We booked the Tour du Mont Blanc Hotel Trek through tourradar last fall. The booking was smooth and when there were glitches their staff was very prompt and helpful to a point. In the spring we heard through a friend that our tour was cancelled and no one from Tourradar or Exodus had contacted us. You can imagine our dismay. We had to rebooked dates of the trip, airlines, transports, hotels etc. The main problem is that no one accepted responsibility. Yes they were very apologetic but it took us many emails to have SOME of the additional fees taken care of. Again, everyone was very apologetic but that only goes so far. Even though I had emails saying that the trip was confirmed they said it was not and that we should have waited to book flights etc. When you are wrong-just say so. I may use them in the future but I now know that I need to verify the confirmation of the trip with the actual trip operator.

While we are glad to hear that we have been prompt and helpful in the early stages of your booking experience, we regret to hear that the later stages were not as smooth upon learning that your tour departure has been withdrawn. While disappointing, tour operators may sometimes have to withdraw tours due to operational reasons. For this reason, we do not recommend that travellers purchase flights until a departure is guaranteed. As per our correspondence, it also looks like we have communicated your concerns to the operator and increased your TourRadar Savings to help offset some costs you’ve experienced with the changed departure.
