Looked at a G Adventure (Costa Rica) , thru Tour Radar, I attempted to put it on a 48hr hold (but I didn’t)( my own fault ), with help and calls and chats with Tour Radar I’m now booked , the 24/7 chat option is very helpful.

Hi Walter, We thank you for your valued feedback, however, we regret to hear that your hold was not placed as expected. After looking into your file, it seems that you may have opened a booking enquiry as opposed to a 48-hour hold. When placing a 48-hour hold customers are required to input all booking details except for payment, using the ‘request a hold’ link. Based on our understanding, you were sent an email as a prompt for you to complete a booking that was not finalized the first time around. As a 48-hour hold request was not completed, this was unfortunately not placed in our system. However, we are very glad to see that despite this, you have since been successfully booked onto an amazing touring adventure! Regarding your travel partner, we regret to hear that you were unable to secure a space on the same departure date. The request to change their departure date has been received by our team and the tour operator has been notified. Someone from our support team will be in touch with your travel partner in due course, with some further advice. We were initially disappointed that we paid the same price as our fellow tour mates when our price did not include return air passage from London to Spain while theirs were included. After the trip we made this known to Tour Radar. They took our feedback seriously and acted on it swiftly by refunding us the airfares which should be included in the first place. This shows that Tour Radar is an ethical and serious company. They are definitely not a fly-by-night third party agent. They could have ignored our feedback since all fees were collected and the trip was over. Yet, they called me long distance to investigate the miscommunication and acted prompty to make things right. I have every confidence in them now and would not hesitate to use them again should the opportunity arise. They are highly recommended as it was a tremendously well organised trip which my friend and I enjoyed except for the slight miscommunication in the tour package pricing which Tour Radar made right eventually.

To clarify, the land-only portion was purchased for this tour. While, the tour operator may offer flight-inclusive pricing, which is most likely what your fellow travellers have purchased, pricing with flights will be an additional cost to the tour. The tour operator does offer flights for travellers in the UK. However, as you were travelling outside of Europe, it was recommended that a direct flight be arranged to avoid any missed flight connections, that would have caused tour delays and affected the start of your tour. In addition, pricing is subject to change depending on when a traveller books due to varying factors such as availability and demand. While we cannot speak directly to the pricing that your fellow travellers have paid, we can assure that you’ve received the best possible price at the time of booking. My wife and I recently took an Egypt 9 day tour booked through Touradar and using Expat travel. Our tour guide Kerlos Talat, Kero, was not only an expert in Egyptian history but also a good English speaker. Personable and thoughtful. He was always busy behind the scenes, organizing, explaining, problem solving and protecting. Always counting his sheep, he never lost anyone. Security was well organized and discrete. Other than the top notch organization of the tour and booking procedure, I would credit a large part of the success to Kero who represented both companies very well. Value for money was extraordinary and the hotels and boat very good. Food was good and plentiful. Just one word of advice to travelers to Egypt; standards of cleanliness are not always the same as in your in own home. However, for the most part, you will not have a problem. The currency is very cheap and a euro or dollar goes a long way. In closing, I would highly recommend Touradar and expat travel.

Brilliant and easy experience to book through Tour Radar. Dealt with Alexandra from the yacht company and also Fin on the chat line and everything was addressed promptly. Looking forward to our trip and have encouraged four people to come with us as I was so impressed with booking procedure.

I made a mistake when I paidd, because I forgot to include the discount code. When I finished the payment I realized the mistake. I immediately called the call center and they didn't give me any solution. I lost about 70 USD. I have traveled several times. I is a unfair treatment

I found working through Tourradar to be very frustrating, like playing tag. There seemed to be no communication between Tourradar and Luxury Gold, I was never informed of things like a tote bag and rucksack on offer to choose between, nearly did not get my airport travel vouchers, had to battle to get my itinerary before leaving on the trip. A long time delay before answering, the "local" number always engaged. It came to a point where I was frantically googling if it is a scam! Staff was helpful and friendly, but clearly had no knowledge of the product nor of the challenges clients from Africa face in booking trips. I will use the site to compare tours, but probably book directly in future. UPDATE: I was subsequently called by a customer service representative, who agreed unconditionally that I had reason to be dissatisfied. It felt good to be taken seriously and they offered me credit on a future booking, should I choose to use them again. Certainly changed a negative to a positive and I am willing to try again!

Having looked into your file, we can determine that there were a couple of minor set-backs with some tour components during your booking process. As a booking agent, we liaise between the customer and the tour operator. Any services or components of a tour are handled exclusively by the tour operator which does take a little time to coordinate, according to their booking protocols. However, we do wish to assure you that our dedicated Customer Service Team worked hard to ensure that these were resolved and arranged with the tour operator as quickly as possible, and all final documentation provided before your tour departure date.
