“We went to Rio de Janeiro and Ilha Grande in November 2023. Our expert (Helena) was exceptionally helpful, efficient and flexible in the lead up to the trip in arranging our accommodation and various activities at short notice to suit our interests and budget. Whilst we were away Helena was always on hand if we needed anything, and rescheduled several activities for us at very short notice as a result of the weather conditions. She was warm and enthusiastic throughout; we couldn't be more impressed with her service, and would recommend it to anyone travelling to Brazil. Thank you Helena and Travel Local! “Harry a tour expert of Dominican Republic helped me with a custom tour. He was very patient answering all my questions/concerns to create a dream private tour for my family. Through him I met Isabel on Zoom where she assess what our interests were, making great recommendations. As a local in DR, Isabel made great suggestions for local sites/food/experiences. My greatest appreciation for her to overseeing our multi-city DR tour including our severely delayed arrival DR flight. I call her after midnight to reach our local guide at the Santiago airport, where we were able to get to our hotel safe and sound in the middle of the night! It really provided us peace of mind to have Isabel to contact during our tour in the event of any problems! She even check to make sure we returned home! Thankfully, we had a most pleasant memorable trip. Also need have to say our great local guide Luis and driver Heriberto expertly negotiated us through Santiago-Jarabacoa-Constanza-Santo Domingo-Punta Cana- Saona Island! Dominican Republic is truly a magical country with a great food, culture, and most amazing landscapes! Muchas Gracias Harry, Isabel, Luis, and Heriberto! Can't wait to vist again!”

“We recently travelled to Italy and used your company for the 2nd leg of our journey. We really didn't know where to start when booking this part. Monero and Melanie were fantastic coming up with an itinerary that included all the things we listed we wanted to do. They arranged all our travel included transfers and train tickets between towns. They kept in constant contact with us to see that everything was going according to plan which was great. Great value for money. Would use them again for next adventure.”

“Substandard tours despite top tier pricing. Make sure you read the T&Cs- there are ridiculous clauses like having to inform them of problems within 24hours, even if you’re in a country where you have no signal… they then focus on the clause to excuse themselves rather than the terrible service/tours. Extremely dissapointing”

“We had the most AMAZING break in Jordan. Really well planned, nothing was too much trouble. We had a driver and limo for the week and he was brilliant. He knew so much that even the long journeys were interesting. 110% recommend.”

“Isabell is caring and available all the time.when we went for dinner and when we finished eating it was pouring rain and she borrowed umbrellas from restaurant and made few trips to our hotel and make sure everyone got back to hotel safe and dry”

“Florin was great about listening to our interests and tailoring a trip in Romania that suited our budget and our timeline. He personally provided the tour in Bucharest and then handed us off to Bogdan for 5 days throughout the country. Both men were very knowledgeable and interesting. Bogdan tuned into our energy and made every day memorable. It was great to spend time with such a pleasant guide. I would HIGHLY recommend Travel Local based on our experience!!”

“This was our third holiday with Travellocal . Although delayed by covid & its fallout it was definitely worth the wait! As previously, the itinerary matched the brief & provided just what we had asked for; exuberant wildlife in stunning locations. Although moving through multiple locations the arrangements were spot on & we had either personal or virtual support for those little questions! “My sister and I booked and customised a 16 day tour to Uzbekistan with TravelLocal. I usually enjoy the planning and logistics of a holiday so I was a little unsure about booking through a company. However, I needn’t have been and will definitely be using TravelLocal again! I enquired about the tour via the website on a Sunday and was surprised and amazed to receive a weekend phone call from Feruza just ten minutes later! I shared some of the places that we hoped to visit and the kind of experience we were after; very quickly, I had a well-crafted and personalised itinerary, which Feruza further adapted (we had decided to add a few extra days on). The booking process was impressive from the offset and Feruza was always on hand to answer any questions I had - both before and during the tour. Throughout the tour we were lucky enough to have excellent drivers and passionate local tour guides, who went out of their way to make us feel welcome and give us a once in a lifetime experience - Marifot (Tashkent), Kamol (Aral Sea and Khiva), Niso (Bukhara) and Nasiba (Samarkand). Some of the guides even contacted us at night - in their own time and without being asked - to send us restaurant and nighttime recommendations! Each of them had a wealth of knowledge and adapted the tour to suit our needs on the day. The hotels booked for us were comfortable and all staff were friendly. In fact, we found that the whole of Uzbekistan was friendly. From the local houses we entered on our way to the Aral Sea as well as at Mitan village, to the elderly ladies who invited us to dance with them in Samarkand, to strangers on the street - Uzbekistan did not disappoint! It’s hospitality, architecture and history is second to none. We were able to do so much more with TravelLocal than we would have otherwise been able to and since arriving home, I have been telling everybody to visit Uzbekistan! The cost of the tour was great value for money. The internal flight and train transfer were well organised (and both comfortable). Thank you Feruza and TravelLocal. I will definitely be visiting Central Asia again one day and will be using TravelLocal (hopefully very soon) for lots of future travels!”

“We used TravelLocal to organize our recent 3 week holiday in Vietnam (long delayed from 2020 due to Covid). They were flexible with our travel plans over the 3 year period and super responsive. They had connected us with their partner in Vietnam, Tonkin Travel, to suggest and organize the holiday details - they were brilliant and I can’t recommend them highly enough. Again, really responsive to emails - generally turning around queries and changes in 24 hours. They worked within our budget. Took time to listen to what kind of experience we were looking for, then suggested lovely hotels and fun things suitable for us to do (the Vespa tours in Hue and Saigon were the highlight of our trip , especially for our 15 year old!). The drivers and cars provided were roomy, reliable and had great air conditioning (it was hot!) - drivers were courteous and smooth, despite winding roads in the mountains and crazy traffic. The guides were wonderful - personable and chatty, willing to share their experience and love for their country, spoke good English. Felt like they were part of our family by the time we departed - thank you, Huy Nguyen and Anh Nguyen, for making our holiday so special. A big shout out to Nga Duong at Tonkin Travel for all her help. She set up WhatsApp with us beforehand so we could communicate with her throughout our trip - and most importantly find our guide at Hanoi airport when we just landed. It really helped to ensure we could communicate quickly for last minute queries. All in all, a fabulous holiday and I’d book with both travel local and Tonkin Travel again.”

Bishnu efficiently provided us with a well-crafted itinerary and budget, making the booking process a breeze. The payment was straightforward through Travellocal, and from there on, Bishnu took charge of all the arrangements. As soon as we landed at Kathmandu airport, we were warmly greeted and introduced to Bishnu and our guide for the next two weeks, Dhruba. The trip to Everest Base Camp will forever remain etched in our memories as an unforgettable experience. “Travel Local put us in touch with Southern Africa 360 to plan our trip to Botswana. It was truly amazing experience and Nikki was instrumental in putting it together. When we told other guides and agents in Botswana and other countries about our trip, we were constantly told we got to see the "gems" of the country. It was so amazing, our friends and families have asked for our itinerary for future planning! Nikki also assisted with coordinating flights, even though we had booked them independently, as navigating some of those Southern African airlines can be tricky. The entire process was so easy and she made sure to accommodate us when our plans changed--for example, we had independently booked a black rhino safari on our last day at Victoria Falls, which meant we would have to miss our originally scheduled morning transfer from Zimbabwe to Zambia--Nikki made sure our transfer was changed to the evening and we were able to enjoy our safari and safely make the land transfer into Zambia. The guides she picked were incredibly helpful at assisting us with all of the border crossings we made, from Botswana into Zimbabwe, and then on to Zambia. Many things could go wrong during this trip but they were all handled with efficiency. This is my fourth time using Travel Local and they are by far my favorite travel agency, since they put me in touch with local agencies who are really specialists in the area they are from. I also like contributing to the local economies. I can't say enough good things about Travel Local and their associates. I've never had a bad experience and look forward to planning my next trip to Thailand with them!”

“I contacted travel local, and they asked me how many locations that we wanted to stay and asked what price point I was looking for. It was such an easy trip to book. We went to Costa Rica. Every detail was taken care of. They emailed back and forth and to make sure to get my exact flight and my private transfer driver was waiting when I arrived at the airport. We got shared or private transportation for 8 days and our driver was only late one time by 15 minutes. Otherwise, he was there early every transfer. The hotels were really nice and the tours were phenomenal. I will be contacting travel local again to help me with my vacations. It was only about $400 more than if I had booked everything myself and had the stress of trying to rent a car and drive. It was very stress-free by using travel local.”

“Jordan branch - awful experience. We asked Nermin multiple times to send us a detailed itinerary, as we were worried to be tight with the timings, but she never did so, until we asked to talk to her manager. Even then, she sent us a simple WhatsApp message (no email, no apologises), on capital letters, as if she was angry, with some drafted timings and what was supposed to be the itinerary - most of the message contained wrong info. For example, she included little Petra in the itinerary of Monday, but we had already been there the day before. She told us that the Bethany visit lasts 20 min, when it actually takes 90 to 120 min. I would have lost my flight, if it wasn’t for Khaled, our driver, who advised us for a completely different itinerary. My friend had to argue with Nermin twice about what was included in her tour, as she kept on sending confused WhatsApp messages saying one thing and then the opposite. We are extremely dissatisfied and will ask for a refund. I’m happy to talk to the headquarters and give more details, if needed.”

“I had a dream trip of a lifetime in Greece with coordinated by Vangelis From start to finish this was a a dream come true. All of the accommodations were were 5-start. The tours were spectacular. Every single details was thought out and perfectly executed from transportation to ferry rides. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect vacation. I'm still floating on a high. Vangelis is a class-act. Thank you again”
