I provided PROOF that I had purchased from the company (TLC Electrical), yet Trustpilot hid my review from public view, stating some 'compliance' bullcrap. Even though I jumped through their 'hoops' - providing a jpeg image of the invoice AND a pdf version a week later (the jpeg wasn't 'good enough'), nothing changed. I wouldn't be surprised if they were receiving some sort of incentive from businesses with excessively poor service. I have removed myself from this sham of a website. It's a shame as the good businesses have lost valuable reviews.

I lost $1500USD off Aliexpress (cnc water cooled router never arrived) So posted a review on Trustpilot, they refused to post it stating some convoluted legal B.S. .

I gave a genuine review of Plan(GB) Ltd a car leasing company who used unlawful practices to attempt to extract over £2000 in cancellation fees from me. C.A.B lawyer confirmed their unlawful practices and so do the BVRLA. After posting my review, ensuring it met Trustpilot guidelines and proving to them I was a genuine customer the review remains 'removed'. This has now been over 2 months!! My last two emails to their 'compliance team' asking why the review is not reinstated have been ignored. This cannot be a genuine and unbiased review business, I would not rely on its reviews in any decision.

Trustpilot is no different from the other scam companies. I was a free user and our business collected nearly 70-80 good reviews. They started pushing me to take the premium service so i can invite the verified clients ( or the clients i want to ). I declined politely although their sales team kept harassing me with up to 7 calls a day. I told them i was not paying. Finally they deleted all our positive reviews. I told them it's not fair but they didn't respond. One of our clients questioned them and they said they removed reviews as they couldn't confirm authenticity. Our client sent them an email saying they can confirm they used the service. Then they asked the client to send a copy of Invoice like which planet are they living on. Would any client be willing to go the length of this just to verify their review. They only do this so a small business like ours can be forced to pay them to verify users. We sent them an email 4 days ago and still no response( you cant call their so called compliance team and they haven't called or emailed us so far). In the meantime their sales team has called me 5 times today itself. Maybe this will get deleted as I don't have invoice or emails to prove I'm their customer. lol I am planning to approach the watchdog and press so if there are any similar complaints, please get in touch and we all can organise a collective legal or political action

Overall I have reasonable confidence in this site, however I have had several 'run ins' with their so called compliance team and their odd vetting process. It appears they like a little 'vetted' honesty but not certainly not complete honesty. For example I reviewed Espares and mentioned that Partmaster was the same company and gave the same dire service. They refused to list the review as I had 'contravened their rules' or some nonsense. I had to send them links to Companies House and director's details to prove it! The latest concerned 3 recent visits to Kwikfit. I mentioned they said that all 3 cars needed tracking after the tyres were replaced, despite none of the tyres wearing unevenly. I felt it was a up selling practice for their tracking service and not actually a necessity. Again rejected without explanation. I fully understand there will be fake or malicious reviews but it appears they are being over zealous and lacking some simple common sense.

I reviewed Quidco and gave them a poor review because I had never been paid out by them, then trustpilot removed the review stating "Your review of www.quidco.com has been flagged by our software or our Compliance Team because we’ve been unable to verify the authenticity of it." yet I can prove I am real, I snt them my name address phone number and a print screen of my quidco account. I am not the only one this has happened to, I friend has had the same thing happen, are they as independent as they claim?

I am not at all sure or convinced that Trust Pilot is in anyway completely upfront or indeed impartial in it's review publications. Is the site trustworthy for the consumer or is it "in liaison! with fee paying registered businesses?? By the very nature of the issue, I suppose we are not going to get an answer of any truthful substance anytime soon? It is abundantly obvious that the percentage of positive reviews listed lay very heavy against a genuine average of included poor reviews. Also, why is it that when a negative or poor review is removed because a business is "unhappy" with the content and then a revised review updated is submitted and is eventually published, this can take several days! The review then appears in back pages NOT at the front for people to see there and then, oh dear this really is the give away, delay, delay, delay, then put it on a page very few will actually revert to. How unfair and miss representative of the the publics right to know the facts. a prime example of this are reviews to Payday Uk, any once of a poor review is automatically removed before the ink has time to dry! After several attempts at re listing and removing wording etc, etc, the review is published as if it were 10 days old, Not good enough. The word "Trust" in the name Trust Pilot is not accurate and certainly in my opinion against the UK trading standards guidelines! S Woodhead

Do not trust https://uk.trustpilot.com As a company they look very genuine however, they have team that sits there and creates fake reviews, I leaving a review for www.paymentsense.co.uk which is a horrible company to work with and they kept removing my review and adding few fake reviews on top of my review, basically if the company that you're writing the review for is paying them, they will try to protect it as much as possible.

Absolutely FAKE reviews for probably 99% of their paying "customers". They would not let me use terms like "bait & switch" & other acceptable terms to describe the scam website www.Biznable.com. I had to provide sales receipt to get my NEGATIVE review posted. Biznable.com, for example, has 99% positive reviews, all in the past 4 days! They are so obviously fake. The only 2 negative reviews are from myself & another person from over a month ago. FAKE FAKE FAKE

I wrote a genuine below review and posted it on TrustPilot. They first rejected my review, saying that it I was not a verified client. When I sent them a sales receipt and evidence of purchased (credit card statements) from this website www.powerdirect.co.uk , without giving a reason, they rejected it. I lost the Trust from Trustpilot. Very disappointed with the way Trust pilot review system is work. www.powerdirect.co.uk Published 27 December 2016 Updated 31 December 2016 Unfortunately I cannot give zero star. Order placed 25 days back. took the money.. no update... called to check... they cancelled my order with the note that I had cancelled the order... No refund made... struggling to get the refund...I would strongly recommend not to order from this website.. Stay away... ,

They delete reviews in they company paying them does not like what they see. basically what you read is what the company wants you to see, which is far for real or genuine. Don't take their word for it!

Crazy that the most untrustworthy company, is trusted to mange the reputation of others. Don't trust - trustpilot. Shambles of a company, rip off pricing with poor service level.

The only people that bother to review are people who have had bad experiences (my business has 99.8% positive eBay feedback amounting to over 400,000 reviews). We also have a 4.9* rating (out of 5 stars) on Amazon. So bad experiences are very rare and often not our fault. Trust Pilot is pony simple as that.

I reviewed a site of an offshore gold farming/selling site for video games. After i had purchased gold from the company and had it delivered to my account, my account was hacked. It was my mistake for using the same email i logged into the game with as my email for an account on their site. I truly truly believe that site hacked me. When I reviewed them on Trustpilot I was treated as an enemy. My review was taken down and told I couldn't say "hack" or "scam". How can i give an honest review if you are censoring me and i am not even using derogatory remarks? This site basically only wants good reviews which is why Trustpilot shouldn't be trusted.

As most people have indicated, they protect their sponsors and have zero credibility. Give the service a positive review and not an issue, give a genurine negative and there's not a chance of having it printed whether you have proof of purchase or not. Effectively it's a scam and the only way to deal with this shambles is to ignore and take no notice if the review. Do a google search about trustpilot and make your own mind up.
