Turos Host claims I damaged his car. I disputed the claim, Turo reviewed and said I am responsible. They sent me pictures that the Host took a day later after it had been rented out. I disputed that, they reviewed again and then said my pictures showed the damage, which they do not and I disputed that. I never did get a fair explanation from them. Terrible Customer Service Representatives, they were very rude during the whole process and even sent me numbers that didnt even add up, which they never would answer that question either. They are their own judge and jury and do not listen to their customers. I was guilty in their minds and they did not want to listen to my rebuttal. According to Turo, To cover yourself you have to buy the full coverage insurance at an additional $15/day which they keep reminding me that I should have done. A similar incident happened 2 years ago that I wrote off as a bad host, but now this is the second time. Please beware of renting without buying their $15/day insurance, I will not be renting from Turo again.

Turo is a joke of a company who will hopefully go out of business sooner than later. I rented with them for a few years with minor issues like fraudulent rentals where the host was the issue. I never made that an issue with Turo as they would just cancel and allow me to book from another host. Everything changed when I booked a truck for a work trip. Turo charged me for tolls after and I inspected this I realized that the host charged for a parking ticket that was incurred after the rental dates. I contact Turo only to be told it was a valid toll. After reviewing the ticket again (that Turo sent me) it was clear this was a toll and the owner was committing fraud. Not only did Turo side with the owner and refuse to actually read the ticket, they passed me from chat bot to chat bot, then restrict my rentals for complaining. At this point I had overlooked the fraudulent rentals, car pick up issues, and toll charges because it was affordable. But in the end you get what you pay for! Since then I’ve had smooth rentals with Lyft and will be trying Get Around which has better reviews and customer service. Don’t waste your time Turo. Hopefully we see a documentary about how this company tanked to account for all their poor and fraudulent businesses practices.

I was returning a vehicle to the host as a favor for my associate that rented it, I was physically attacked by the vehicle owner, apparently the car was late, so for that i got a full can of mace in my eyes, then I got beaten down in the parking lot. Do not rent this woman's car, HER name is Arnisha Murphy her car is a black Toyota camery with the liscense plate prissy7. Phone number 5014136914. Please do not use turo, This site is dangerous, and they allow there guest to be physicsll5 harmed by host/guest. This is not professional and they need to be suwed or shut down, protect yourself from these people.

I had no problems with Turo. The car I rented was the most comfortable I have ever had. It was dead empty so I filled it up. I went over the milage allowed, so I had to pay extra, which I expected. I was surprised it was so much, an extra 300 dollars. What really made me a bit angry was when they said they were charging me a convience fee to charge me for the miles. It wasnt much, but the idea of a convenience fee smacks greed. Really! Won't be using them again

The worst customer experience I’ve ever had in my life and I don’t say that lightly. We requested a refund for tires we had to replace during our trip. We never got an answer, so we reached out again to Turo customer service, and they told us (via chat bc it’s impossible to talk with a human) that a refund request was never put in. At this point we’ve reached out 4 times in over a month and they still don’t have our request in the system even though every person tells us they’re putting in our request. I could go on and on about their epic awfulness

Communication is shocking, takes ages to talk to a human and even then they can’t justify or answer questions. They don’t care about their guests, they’re in favour of the people hosting cars at the detriment of the guest. Do not trust them.

Awful customer service. Background check is convoluted and performed without clear benchmarks. Extremely disappointed with the service, I would not recommend this service to anybody.

There was a glitch preventing the "modify trip" from showing up, it took me 3 hours to connect with a real human after going in circles on all help forums and receiving texts instead of calls, what was advertised as a 180$ trip ended up coming out to way more, some of which is doubled on the receipt although I'm not being charged the full amount? They also triple-charged my account before returning the money. All in all, I respect the aims of the company but the service charges for hollow customer service are audaciously high and the company is not well-run enough.

Turo's return procedure i a joke and not fluid. They will charge you for 1/2 the day rate for being 5 minutes late past the rental return time, then tell you, you cannot extend. That's simply unethical and horrible customer service. Just money grabbing greed.

Horrible, will NEVER use again. I rented from Freddy Flores in April in Tampa, Florida and he is an insurance scammer. Horrible host, has added fraudulent photos to try and claim more damages to the door ding I reported that I found from parking lot damage hour before I was set to depart. I had already taken my photos before the ding and could have very well not even reported it but I did was was right. Now, I have had to pay $500 after purchasing Turo’s joke of minimum coverage and they are coming after my insurance for another $1700 in damages! For a less than goofball size door ding that a paint less dent repair tech could pop out. Freddy also attempted to accuse/charge me for tolls that weren’t mine, as I detailed to him based on time stamps, during the time of my car rental! These occurred before I even began my rental. Freddy disrupted the end of the trip agreement to assist with returning me to the airport and I then had to last-minute replan everything because I informed him that the vehicle received a ding in the rear driver’s side door in the hotel parking lot. Freddy first tried to get me to pay him $250 for his deductible then suddenly changed tune and went silent. This was and continues to be a horrible experience. I will post on social media and let everyone I know this is how Turo goes. Never Again.

After looking at all these reviews I totally understand why this company is full of sh**. I will never rent from this company ever again or recommend anyone to rent from this company. The host is trying to put a claim against me and she is not showing me proof that the damage happened in my possession. Before picking up the car it was in her possession, so who’s to say that the damages happened while in her possession. I’ve asked multiple times not only from the host but also from Turo show me pictures prior to my trip. If the damage happened in my possession I have no problem fixing this issue but if the host whited out the side where the damages is placed how can I tell if the damage was there or not. Everyone is going around my request, the Host and Turo. They are showing me pictures when the car when in the Host possession before I picked up the car, in between that time frame anything could have happened while the car was in her possession.

Our parents rented a car from turo and got a flat tire from a nail in the road. The owner charged them to replace it costing them several hundred dollars. The car was in the shop the entire day and so they also lost out on the cost of the rental for the day. After what happened to them Turo has lost several future customers, very disappointed they would not absorb the cost of this incident or have an insurance policy that is a reasonable cost for a 2 day rental that would cover things like this.

My car worked perfectly fine and now i need a new engine. Turo claims they don't handle claims on the mechanical end because basically “the owner must've mishandled the vehicle” now im -$3500 for damages. What an experience

Man who picked us up had clearly been smoking in the car, had terrible BO and had his buttcrack completely exposed when he stood up which meant I had to drive the whole trip on the remnants of that. I didn’t raise a stink, but when I returned the car they charged me $154 cleaning fee because there was some sand on the back mats. He said it took him 2 hours to clean…please ugh. That would have been like me shoveling sand in the back seat and it was literally the remnants of some sand that didn’t come off at the beach. I dropped it off early with a full tank. He left me a 5 star review so the charge was a terrible surprise. Never using Turo again.

Horrible. Rented a car from 'Snardy' in Orlando, Genesis G80, plane landed and he didn't answer my text for a half hour. After the trip he claimed I smoked in the car, I never smoked a day in my life, any smoke was there before I had it or he planted it. Read the other reviews, this isn't the only time scams like this happened with them. When I complained about the $275 cleaning fee Turo banned me. Good riddance. Have never had an issue like this in 40 years of business travel. Another shady host tried to get me to send her a $300 'security deposit' by Zelle, completely against Turo rules. If you like high end cars, just ask a real rental company in bigger cities if they have them, they often do and will negotiate on price, without the fraud, drama, and harrassment I experienced with Turo.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced aside from Robinhood. They do not listen, do not read the issues at hand, they respond from a general alias and are nearly impossible to reach by phone. Their call line is a joke and will hang up on you at any moment. DO NOT WORK WITH TURO. They take a huge fee and provide almost no assistance. Their timeline for damage reports are too short and they do not look at pre and post pictures of your car.
