UberEATS just delivers whatever they want now. They use to refund/replace missing items but now they just apologize for not being able to refund. Either the store is not supplying the items or the drivers are taking them because they know nothing will be done about it. Broken system, deleting my account

I ordered groceries through Uber for the third time. The first two experiences were fantastic — fast delivery, accurate items, and thoughtful substitutions when something wasn’t available. So, for my third order, I went all in and signed up for Uber One. I felt confident committing to the service. This time, it took nearly an hour for anyone to even accept my order. I wasn’t in a rush, so I waited. But once someone picked it up, everything went downhill. The shopper clearly didn’t care. People use this service because they need it — not because they can easily drive to the store to get what’s missing. I spent nearly $400 and got terrible service from both the shopper and Uber support. It started with Parmesan cheese being swapped for mozzarella — a poor substitution for anyone who knows cheese. Then came butter chicken sauce. Walmart's website showed four options, but apparently none were available? Odd, but I let it slide. Then came the shock: no shampoo. Not one bottle. Not Herbal Essences, Fructis, Dove, Pantene, or Pert — all of which were listed as in-stock. I’ve never seen a Walmart without shampoo, not even during the height of COVID. Over 10 items were refunded with no substitutions, despite Uber’s promise of alternatives. I messaged the driver repeatedly — they kept saying, “wait.” I asked to cancel the order, and again: “wait.” Nearly four hours after I placed the order, I had no full meals for my family and still no shampoo. It was absolutely ridiculous. I contacted Uber, and all I got were canned replies like “we appreciate your feedback.” No ownership, no accountability, and no refund of the service fee — even though I had to go to the store myself just to make dinner that night. Apparently, once someone starts your order, you’re stuck paying — no matter how poorly it’s handled. I cancelled my Uber One subscription and left a 1-star review. Beware: the shoppers often don’t care, and Uber doesn't either. They’re happy to take your money even if their service fails, and you end up spending more cabbing to the store to get the items they claimed weren’t available — when they clearly were. In addition the shopper packed the chips and bread UNDER A 4L jug of milk and huge jar of pickles, and lost items like frozen chicken burgers that at least the burgers were refunded.. such a waste of time and money

I hate how they make it nearly impossible to really confront an issue. My Eats delivery never arrived and I couldn’t get back to the order to call the driver or anything they just simply offer a refund. I need to know where my food was taken and proof of delivery and who ever is responsible needs to be penalized. Don’t allow thieves and dishonest people to deliver for you. Seriously vet these people before sending them out. Second time this has happened to me.

Uber Eats charged me the total price of my order for a cancellation fee.. That is ridiculous. $65 for a cancellation fee.. I want my money back..

Used this app once and NEVER will use again, honestly they need to be sued, how do you not refund for cold soggy food, after a certain amount of time food starts growling bacteria, food and money went to waste, to make things right they only give me $4 credits and took $3 for the tip

The delivery people deliver it to the wrong place and Uber eats doesn't help or refund even when they track on the maps that it was not delivered in the right place.

These people they hire to deliver your food. Never pay attention to what you order, which missing food items that you still get charged for. Company really needs to be put out of business.

I live five minutes away and it took 35 minutes for the food to get here, needless to say it was barely lukewarm. I will never ever use Uber eats again, this was my first time.

I placed an order through uber eats at a pizza place. The order consisted of 9 pies. Uber decided to send their delivery guy on a bike who turned down delivering such a large order. The Pizza place then decided to take on the order themselves, charging me for the pies and using their delivery guy. When I contacted Uber eats to cancel the order on their end, they said they would not reimburse me the money they charged me for the order. They insisted on charging me close to $400 just for their guy to say they aren't going to deliver the pizza. The contact on their chat service ended the chat abruptely. Uber eats sucks, and I will never use them again.

Uber eats used an address from Uber ride. Instead of the address I have been using for food delivery since I started using Uber Eats!!!

used in El Salvador and Costa Rica. Placed order for grocery items to be delivered. Grocer did not have the items I wanted or a replacement . I was billed even though I cancelled within minutes . Didn’t know this was there policy so buyer beware ! Sadly cannot reach Uber support so basically paid and got nothing !!!

Ordered take out pizza through uber eats, pizza bill was $22.29, uber eats charged me $42.87! Sick to my stomach, am disputing with cc, will remove app, and tell everyone I can what a low life company uber eats is!

Can't even give no stars. 4 orders in a row have been wrong and now because I've had to make a complaint AGAIN, I'm in the wrong and displaying "certain behaviours" so I can't get a refund for my item in the order. I get it's not them actually packing the food but to say I'm displaying behaviours, when all I'm doing is raising attention to the fact that my items are wrong, missing or literally damaging my home when the items are delivered with the lids off and spilt everywhere. Waste of money and won't be ordering again.

Uber eats is way too expensive tried to order a simple 11.99 pizza the other night and the total ended up being almost 30 dollars after tip taxes uber fee this fee that fee. Will never use uber eats again?

I placed an order months ago that I was charged twice for (once through PayPal and once through my debit card) it took a weeks to get a refund. I placed an order today after swearing I’d never use the app and got charged AGAIN for the order I had to fight to get a refund for because I was charged twice!!! Never again!!

I placed an order, received someone else order. I have the other persons receipt to show the mistake and they still will not give me a refund. I contacted HELP at least 20 times and I got the same response not eligible for refund. I replied to an email they sent me and received a response I sent it from the wrong email. This is insanity. I spent about 2 hours of my life I will never get back. Needless to say I'm done with UBER EATS. Never got refund so I will be disputing the charge with my bank now.

I placed an order and immediately canceled it within seconds. I called the restaurant and they verified the order was just coming through and it was also immediately canceled. Uber Eats is refusing to refund the amount, even though the restaurant assured it wasn't a problem. This is unethical practice and I've never had an issue with any other company before. Shame on them!

They had the wrong address. I called the restaurant to change it and I couldn’t do that. I have vertigo that comes in when I’m stressed and just escaped an abusive relationship in NY. To thank my brother and mother and father for helping me out I ordered food. Did the cancellation like the restaurant requested. I had to order from seamless from another restaurant and was charged $100 for food I never got from uber eats.

Awful customer service from Ana. My order was completely incorrect and they had no reasonable solution. Do better Uber Eats we spend so much money through your company.
