Absolutely terrible experience. Purchased a gaming PC for Christmas for my son. They sent it via Yodel (although Yodel is renowned for poor delivery they only use them as their director also owns Yodel, so as proper businesses wouldn't choose them Very will - look it up!) So Yodel lost the parcel (stolen? Who knows?) and Very would NOT take ANY responsibility for their failed promised delivery date. As days went by, customer service service kept claiming it would be delivered the following day without any reason to expect Yodel to find the parcel, let alone attempt delivery. I eventual took legal action against Very which resulted in a Directors PA phoning me, who did try to resolve via Yodel, admitted she wasn't hopeful, so arranged for a 2nd to be sent, unfortunately by Yodel again, no surprises when it was delayed again This time it was just sitting in a huge pile of undelivered parcel at my local depot. They refused to allow me to collect it, I just had to wait again for them to actually get around to delivering it. With daily calls to the PA, she did manage to escalate it within Yodel. Also took advantage of a discount if I took a 3 month interest free credit (they hoped customers default, then charge eye watering interest). Trying to make payment via their website was impossible. Everytime I filled I the payment details my bank needed my authorisation for the transaction, the bank App would pop up, I click confirm, but returning back to Very website to complete payment their website reloads, starting the process again. This means money is reserved by my bank for Very to collect, yet Very doesn't complete the transaction, starting the whole process again, reserving a 2nd, then 3rd amount. Voice recognition on their helpline is poor making it difficult to speak to anyone, or use the automated service. Paid off the balance in full and closed the account down.

I have used very a long time and never had issues until now! Disgusting service..I ordered a table and chairs on the 4th March to come the following day but then to be told it cannot be tracked and was promised another was sent out again and it would come the next day..so after 2 days of having to sit in for the item I lost pay and nearly lost my job because every everyone of the customer services lied to me! I was shocked I had called around 30 times in 4 days..lie after lie. The managers were useless too! Little did I know this customer services is in South Africa ( ha ha sorry but this does not excuse the rude attitude) Manager is either on lunch or a meeting..when you do sit around waiting for ten mins as promised he called me while I was at work. I was absolutely fuming disgusting service.. apparently they don't compensate for loss of wages even though I had no choice to stay in because I was receiving information saying on way with Tuffnells..manager cancelled both orders of tables which probably wasn't even sent. And promised he would call me back to discuss how compensation works...waited 4 days and the manager still is yet to call me. Laughable really shows they don't care how much you spend with them cash or by now pay next year! I work for the NHS and if I treated people like this I'd be out of a job. I put my review on Trustpilot and funny enough there is a lot of positive feedback got to be fake. I have called again and the customer service lady wouldn't give me the managers name who is vile lies so much ..or he's in a meeting..or he's on lunch so after a total of 47 calls over a week I still haven't got anywhere so resolver I go. This company needs closing abusing loyal customers. Really disappointed as I have recommended friends won't be shopping with them again that's for sure!

I purchased the Savannah fabric sofa bed on the 6th of February and paid additional fee to receive this the next day. It was delivered promptly, which I was pleased about. The sofa arrived without the two side parts: the sofa has no arms and the metal connectors are visible, which makes the sofa unusable. I telephoned Very’s customer service as soon as I unpacked to sofa hoping for a resolution. I was told that as they have no parts available and that I would need to send the item back and await for a refund which takes up to 14 days. I don’t want to go through the return of the sofa, then having to wait for my money (up to 14 days) until I have enough funds to order another sofa, which then I will have to unpack and set up again, on my own, as a single person. It is not my problem that the sofa was sent with missing parts. Therefore, I should not be the one suffering for it. Very should be making arrangements as this has been a cause of major stress already. I understand that mistakes happen, but they should be corrected and the customer should not be losing out when it is the company’s fault. It is quite disgusting that they are not bending backwards to actually get the parts to me as they have sent a completely unusable item. I will be posting this review everywhere and will look into escalating this matter further.

Absolutely dreadful! I have been with very for years but December 2022 was the last time I will ever purchase something off them. I had a damaged fridge freezer delivered and the horrible delivery drivers left it outside in the rain! I have had so many telephone conversations with them as it was a fire hazard blocking the front door. It was finally picked up a week later. I thought it was all sorted but then an email saying the product was missing over a month later and now we are being charged for it! I have spoken to someone yet again who said yep completely not our fault but then I have been charged on my account. I have contacted trading standards, this is an absolute joke!

I purchased a Ninja Airfryer on Saturday 4th Feb and paid by paypal - Delivery was due to be made on Monday 6th Feb however on Monday morning I still had not received an order confirmation email - Concerned that my order was still showing as 'processing' within my Very account & my paypal payment was showing as pending collection by the seller - I telephoned Very. After being placed on hold repeatedly; the third person I eventually spoke to told me that there was a problem with my paypal payment - I felt this was odd since I always pay for goods by paypal and have never had an issue before. I was assured that this apparent paypal issue was a technical glitch and someone would telephone me later the same day. Realising that the product was now showing as being 'out of stock' and later showing the price had been increased by £20 i resolved myself that i would not be getting my purchase. I decided to speak directly to paypal to see what the issue was however by the time I spoke to them the pending payment transaction had totally disappeared from my account - Paypal have advised that Very had cancelled the payment which is why it was no longer showing. I still have not received a call back from Very regarding my order and I have since discovered that when i try to log into my account a message appears stating 'access denied'. I could understand this had i been rude to the customer support however i was extremely polite - Running an online retail business myself I am fully aware that sometimes stock count errors occur and an item may have been over sold however the lack of honesty and communication from very is disgusting. Honesty is ALWAYS the best policy and obviously this is something that Very struggles with - All i did was place an order in good faith and to be blocked from even accessing my account with no warning or reason is inexcusable. I had planned to close my account anyway based on this experience. Obviously this shall be my first and last experience of purchasing from Very - I see now that their full business name really should be Very Shambolic! Appalling customer service - Very; if an item is not available contact your customers and apologise; Its not difficult!

On Sunday 5th Feb, 11.15 ordered and paid for an Air Fryer, order confirmed , informed it would be delivered on Monday 6th Feb, a few mins later, informed the item was out of stock, checked payment had not be taken on my card, it had.Now been advised that l will have to wait 5 to 7 days for the refund to be be returned to my card account. How can they take payment when there is NO STOCK, Since the original transaction over the next 24 hrs l have had 3 emails, saying the item is back in stock. Very l taking payment when there is no stock. Disgusting ! ! First and last time l will ever use this company.

Order showed “with Yodel” for over 2 weeks. Online chat absolutely useless, no email facility so had to wait to make lengthy phone call - eventually told it was out of stock despite courier saying they had it. Refund given but when it came through it was minus the £3.99 postage fee - another lengthy phone call required. Appalling customer service - won’t use Very again

Customer service is awful, there is no ability to email to speed the process. Each person has to start from the beginning once you eventually get through. I have had to take two days off work to try and organise a collection of incomplete delivery of a large item this has been going on since October 27th and we are out pocket to the tune of £606 pounds, we will never use them again for any large items and I will be making sure my friends and family do not either

I had some very bad personal issues and Anthony and Angie helped me with real kindness and understanding, angie from Liverpool I believe was an angel and treated me with the utmost respect, I will always be thankful for her kind and professional manner, many thanks angie ,you are an asset to very and I hope they recognise this, all the best

Very bad experience. Ordered a ninja which was never delivered. After 2 40 mins calls trying to get through I have been refunded by minus the delivery charge.

Very seem to have changed in recent times, long wait times when calling, sometimes more than an hour and then you get cut off. I don't want to go into great detail about my own experince, however as a consequence of it I feel obliged to enlighten anyone considering using them now or in the future. Basically be prepared if something goes wrong, to have something akin to a visit to the dentist, slowly unroll infront of your eyes and very much your ears, as they twist and turn to make sure it's all in their favour. If there's a customer satisfaction company handbook that's been written in the past, then all I can say, is that it now has a inch layer of dust on it, where its been parked at the very back of the filing cabinet marked customers, no sorry meant victims! 06/01/2023 Update Finally got to speak to someone in the UK, rather than a call centre abroad. Have to say despite their courtesy and politeness, my grievance wasn't resolved. The whole experience encouraged me to close the account I've had and used frequently for many years. In essence their business Ethos has been designed to ultimately catch certain customers out with their "Buy Now Pay Later" scam which costs you an exorbitant amount if you forget to pay in full by the due date. They advertise on TV that they'll text you payment reminders, however with me they didn't and I paid the price! When I said I was closing the account (this is when I eventually managed to speak to someone) there was a verbal shrug of the shoulders and not even a muted thank you for all my business over the preceeding years. If you look into all of the other negative reviews on here, there appears to be a consistent theme, and it's mostly about the company's poor communications and appalling ability to respond quickly and efficiently to any sort of customer query. You have been warned and felt it was my duty to inform you all accordingly!

Purchased a Google Pixel 7 phone in December which had a promotion that if I purchased the phone then I was eligible for a free Fitbit Versa. At the time that the promotion was live, the link on the page specified that the Fitbit would need to be claimed in January. Very are now saying that there is nothing that they can do about that. Disgusting customer service. Fraud merchants!

VERY BEKO WORST AFTER SALES SERVICE Brought fridge freezer from Very in April bottom two drawers in the freezer was not freezing up in October early November. Rang Beko on December 10. They they sent a guy out from Dolphin appliances who was so depressed. Ihe should never have been at work without opening his toolbox. He told me that it was too cold. That’s why the freezer was not freezing up. I told him this happened late October early November it wasn’t cold then. Do not Buy A Beko appliance, as you could end up in the same position that I am they’ve left us with no fridge freezer all over the Christmas. I am now having to take very to small claims court for the recovery of my money back or repair the fridge freezer or replace it, I have a ask for full engineers report what is wrong with the fridge freezer as I will need this for small claims court they cannot supply this because their engineer did not inspect the fridge freezer when he arrived at properly , I am 70 years old and I look after 63 year old disabled person shame on you, Beko,

I returned an item using your 48 hour return label but it didn’t arrive when it should.it eventually arrived after 8 days according to tracking by Royal Mail but I still haven’t received my refund or acknowledgment of the items return. Now I appear to be under investigation! I’m not dishonest and this is not ok. I followed your instructions exactly and I’m fed up with the delay. The phone advisors tried their best to help though, hence 2 stars instead of just 1

Terrible experience with Very. Ordered an item which apparently got delivered to me 2 weeks ago, I constantly tried to explain I never received it and they decided to start an investigation. Well, to our surprise item magically appeared in their warehouse. There was NO delivery attempts. They said they can not arrange to send the item back out to me and they will refund the money after 5 days. Also i have been advised that i have to repurchase the item which is now out of stock. When i asked to talk to a manager, the advisor who called himself Leigh said no manager is available. Utterly disgusted!!

I am a model user of Very, never late with a payment, always pay more than the minimum payment, but for no reason at all at an awkward time for most, they have kindly put my interest rate up from 39.9% to 51.9%, no warning, they just did it. When I wrote this report before they contacted me for my details, but never made contact, when I called their underwriters to ask why the sudden increase, they simply said 'because we can' I said fair enough, so now I pay it out and never use them again.
