“Ordered bath, toilet, sink and tapes all went well until the cistern lid was damaged and had to be replaced, I didn't think it would be a bother but I was very wrong. They gave me a date for a new one to be delivered, they never showed, then I was given another date and you guessed it they never showed. When they gave me the 3rd date I said for them to collect all items as I no longer wanted them. The collection off all items were collected on the date. It is such a shame as at the beginning it went so well and I did like the bath suit. Now you have lost £659 from the suite and I also needed to purchase a shower cubicle, shower and heated towel rail. All because you couldn't replace a cistern lid. You really need to get your aftercare service to a 5 star if you want 5 stars rating.”
“ordered…
This company is a disgrace I ordered flooring that said it was easy to lay didn’t require professional fiitting etc to say that it is unfit for purpose is an understatement in fact it is a health hazard due to the micro plastic it creates when cutting. Customer service said that they will ask technical team but they will say it wasn’t fitted properly. So a timer and a technical dept at a higher school couldn’t fit it without it snapping everywhere and yet I persisted but tonight is the last night 5 hours wasted it is a disaster! Simply blaming the customer for your poor quality product isn’t actually good enough.Under the Consumer Rights Act you have a legal right to reject goods that are of unsatisfactory quality, unfit for purpose or not as described, and get a full refund - as long as you do this quickly. This right is limited to 30 days from the date you take ownership of your product.”
“Purchased bathroom furniture December 2019 had delivered beginning of December plumber just taken protective bubble wrap off sink and it’s cracked Obviously it couldn’t be seen . All furniture inspected no issues no other sink compatible with this unit ,Told no exchange nothing they can do had to repurchase £130 down the drain .”
“Actually annoyed that I have to give a 1 star rating here to write a review. Before we even ordered the misty peak worktop we rang ahead and they assured us delivery would be 10days. We went ahead and purchased, we got an email saying delivery Thursday 9th January between 7-5, we rang again and it was confirmed to us. The day before delivery we rang again and again another agent confirmed it would be delivered tomorrow. I booked the day off work as you wouldn't want a brand new worktop laying outside. Sadly 5pm came and no delivery phoned Victoria plum and they couldn't tell me where my item was. Then started to say that I had to book a delievery slot. Joiner and tiler all booked for this weekend to get our kitchen, and obviously the rest of our house back together. Waste of everybody's time. When you speak for an agent for 50mins they couldn't even tell us where our worktop was or when it was actually coming for delivery.
The result now is still don't know when our worktop is coming???? I have to book another day off work and our joiner is not able to come for another 10days as unsurprisingly he has other commitments, that's if we get our worktop inside 10days
Shocking communication, shocking service, how can 3 agents tell you lies and have you sitting around all day and when it comes to 5pm you're the one having to ring up to find out where your worktop is and the answer you get is "I don't know." AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE”
“Initially I was very happy with my three bathrooms. An excellent company stated it was not the quality he would advise. After numerous screw ups with orders, things replaced and plumbers having to be sent home at my cost. The finished bathrooms I was delighted with. They were modern. The toilet mechanisms were rubbish and the seat was off line. The plumber said that was the fixings and you get what you pay for. Good advice. After a while I noticed ALL the vanity units has manufacture damage to the sinks. After a couple of years I noticed the vanity units doors started to crack badly. The large bar handles on the en-suite kept dropping off as the grub screws rusted. Dangerous. Then the plug holes started to rust and peel. Then the downstairs loo flooded. The British Gas five service came out to look at it and the en-suite. He repaired them but again stated the inners were rubbish. Then one tap stopped working, then one broke and the other I have had to turn off the cold. I have complained to Victoria Plum twitter who stated there is only a one year warranty so they would replace the vanity units? So the rusting taps and hardware, the flooding toilets they blamed on the plumber. All this attained from photographs. Funny how all 3 toilets were all incorrectly fitted with no lid? After all the missing parts on the orders, rediculous excuse. BOTTOM LINE, first couple of years you will love it, then things will go wrong. Start of YEAR 4 every item purchased has BROKEN. You will have no come back and will have to employ a plumber to remove and dispose of all your Victoria plumb items. £1000s and allot of stress. Just go somewhere else that may not be as cheap but having to replace it in 4 years is false economy. I have requested that someone comes out or offers a sensible refund and plumbing expenses. They refused, stating the one year warranty. Says it all really.......”
“Here's a tip - Do NOT give this company your business. There, I've just saved you a fortune.
I will shamefully admit that I got them mixed up with Victoria Plumbing (as intended no doubt), but for ANY company to be run like this in THIS economical climate is bewildering.
THERE IS NO QUALITY CONTROL WHATSOEVER! They sent out two broken toilets and then tried to redeliver the same broken ones again.
TIP If you are foolish enough to buy anything from them, examine the products the second they are delivered for damage (although the VP drivers have caught onto this and will try to insist you sign for the goods first). Also, take lots of photos AND videos of the items, boxes and labels.
Customer service is equally lax - they just don't care.
I suspect the positive onsite reviews are written by staff (probably the ones supposed to be in 'Quality Control') and I also think the company has to be a tax dodge. If Watchdog or any other consumer programme wants to do an expose, then go for it. A company can't run like this, poor products, poor service, something's off.
Bottom line, Victoria Plum are sh..”
“Worst service imaginable. Original order arrived damaged and have been chasing a lost replacement order for 3+ weeks now. Staff make false promises that it will arrive, only to find out nobody has sent it. Disgusting customer service”
“Absolute joke of a company bought a bath panel for £60 and they want to charge me £49.99 to send it back and customer service were no help what so ever never shop with this company they are con artists I sure as will never shop with them again”
“Goods advertised as free delivery. Even when selecting delivery slot said free. They insisted it didn’t say this. Screen shot if you order something. Sadly I didn’t and cost me extra £24.99”
“Do not buy from this company I had my bathroom fitted in april this year tap fell apart and flooded my bathroom I didnt know how to turn water off and it flooded down to the dining room ruining the wallpaper. This weekend my toilet broke I have sent photos and videos of the toilet the fittings have gone green and the silver is peeling off rang them and went on line still waiting to hear from them.”
“Do not purchase anything unless you are sure. They charge a fortune to return goods. They say hassle free returns it’s all misleading. I wanted a simple exchange and they told me I had to pay for new item and have that delivered then return the exchanges item and when they received it I would get a refund for that item. But I also had to chase them up for the refund. A simple swap was not sufficient for them. It’s not hassle free at all, it’s a nightmare! Go to Dunelm they are brilliant!
Do not purchase!!!”
“Spent hours on the phone waiting, not exaggerating the first time 53 minutes then finally connected, and then got disconnected rang again talk an 1hour 26minutes to be put through. This was to exchange an item as they sent the wrong colour the first time. Sorted but had to pay the current price of the item. The. Rang again as they sent a pet which doesn’t fit to the the sink even though it was suggested as the matching part, have to pay for own return, I have done this with tracked delivery 3weeks ago and still no refund, I have emailed and no reply and I have also tried to ring a couple of times.”
“Absolutely shocking customer service, I received damaged goods and their excuse for not replacing them free of charge was because it was outside of the 14 days, well I’m sorry that we had to wait for a qualified plumber to fit it for us! Everything was packaged until needed for fitting. I had to purchase a new cistern, a new toilet seat, new fittings, new bottle trap as nothing fitted, on top of that they wanted me to pay £150 for a new toilet unit because it was damaged- no way! I’ll go elsewhere. Never again”
