Nothing but legalized robbers. Moved from them to BT. Hadn't the decency to let me know the end of my year was up for a cheaper tariff and hit me with an over inflated bill for the start of a new year. Decided to move over to BT and then got hit with a bill for ending contract which i hadn't signed up for. Tried to pay this through a number they gave me but never managed to get anybody. Finally managed to pay it and now i've got a bill for late payment. Dick Turpins of moble

Worst customer service experience I had. Every customer department uses different system and most of them do not write notes, we need to keep repeating the same information to everyone and still people do not try to help. I upgraded 2 phone, received 2 faulty iphones, returned them 1 week ago, received call from warehouse that phone has been returned, royalmail tracker shows phone has been returned but customer service has no information about return. They advice me to call tomorrow everyday I call them. I wish, I never renewed my contract. They know how to frustrate their customers and waste their time.

Disgusting company! Rang them to sort an issue with my phone randomly dropping calls on me regardless of where I was. They did look into it after I spent hours and hours on the phone but never actually fixed the problem. It was even escalated to their customer relations who are even more useless than their customer service where I was accused of being a liar!!!! I began to stop paying my bills until they fixed the issue telling them that once the issue was sorted I was more than happy to pay the amount owing. Vodafone decided it was a better idea to cut off my contract and charge me cancellation which I refused to pay. Now two years later after them telling me, after a complaint I made, that the debt was written off and not sold to a debt collection agency it has now been put on my credit file as a default after they sold it to a debt collection agency!!! My credit rating now a mess because of this company and their lies! I was a loyal Vodafone customer for years but would never again touch these conmen for a contract. They completely refuse to rectify the issue and any time I speak to them they simply say there is nothing owing even though this mark still remains on my credit file from this company!

Vodaphone should be prosecuted for fraud. Like most of the reviewers I experienced the same multiple transfers from one person to another for hours at a time. Online chat is worse and these call centres are trained to delay, stall, repeat then transfer. At some point the ombudsman better close these crooks down, they are deceptive, deliberate and trained, going through the reviews on many sites , there is a very specific deception of the public. Fantastic broadband, far cheaper yet quicker than I'd had with my previous providers.

When I joined I was suddenly inundated with 3rd party companies charging me without knowing, my bills have been £60 a month and not £28 as I had expected. Do not bother with them.. Wish I could have stayed with my original supplier

I needed my phone unlocked, was told to go to the shop in town. They said it had to be done on line. This required filling in a form and including an IMEI number. I couldn't find it and tried to ring them. Three different numbers and all with the same message. Finally was told by a robot that I needed a PEK number, I held on but the message said it was unavailable. Not once was I able to speak to a human. I rang my son at work and he said the number was probably on the box and it was, thankful I never threw it out. Now I have to wait days for them to do something about unlocking it. Dreadful customer service, they should be ashamed...

Without a phone for weeks despite being insured. My phone started to malfunction recently. I am insured with Vodafone, so confidently called them to have it repaired. Just short of two weeks later, I finally got a new phone - not easy to be two weeks without a phone these days, but hey, I survived. Then, within a week, the new phone starts malfunctioning, turning on and off constantly. Totally unusable so I'm without a phone again. I phone Vodafone to resolve it, and they take no responsibility for it: It's for the repair centre to resolve apparently. I ask if it will again take two weeks and they say they have no control over it. I ask for some solution to ensure I have a phone while the current phone is being fixed. They can offer no solution. The man I spoke with was polite throughout but offered no positive solutions. In the end, I'll get the new handset sent, but I cancelled the insurance and I'll be going elsewhere when I come to upgrade. Really poor service.

New manager Andrew at Stamford store UK solved all my phone upgrade problems. I haven't had any feedback form to express this. Mind you, it's not all good news. My previous visit when I took up the new contract left me with a new phone and the wrong size sim card. In other words the store assistant didn't do his job. Fortunately on my return Andrew sorted it.

After being a customer for 20 years. After dealings with them over the last two weeks trying to change from a business to a consumer account for 3 family numbers I can honestly say the level of customers service is probably the worst I have experienced from any company ever. Hours on the phone to some useless articles both here and in India and in the shops. Cant wait for the transfers to complete so that I can leave. They don't care for a 20year customers so why should I bother to stay. Run a mile folks.....find another operator.

I had been with vodafone for over 7 years with 5 contracts. They were in my eyes the best provider until the last couple of years. I now have 1 contract with Vodafone only due to being tied up to a 24 month contract. My daughter has mental issue... vodafone cut her off 3 times due to vodafone incompetence . As you can imagine my this caused great panic in my daughter and our family. After several hours on the phone over a period of months I managed to get the issue resolved. £25 compensation was offered. I demanded a manager call me back which vodafone promised this would happen within 24 hours. 4 weeks later.... still waiting. I cannot wait to leave vodafone. They are without doubt the worst provider in the U.K. My advise is don't take a contract out with vodafone!!!!

Please stay away from this company. I changed my price plan thinking it would suit me better realised it didn't so wanted to revert back which has currently taken me 4 weeks so far to do and still I haven't got anyway. Avoid this awful company.

Firstly, if I could give this company 0 stars I would Do not, do not get anything from Vodafone. I ended up being £75 out of pocket for an item and service that I did not need. Firstly, I went into a local branch to get mobile access for internet connection on my phone . I was mis sold a mobile Wifi (£25), put on a yearly contract (£25 for that month). Guy in the shop told me to cancel contract on Tuesday after the Bank holiday, when in fact I should have been told to cancel the contract on the same day. Misinformation. Also ended up getting a default put on my credit report. I rang them regarding what this was for and was told I owed £25 (another £25, for what?) because I did not cancel in time. NOBODY at Vodafone had the decency to contact me. Have not even had a letter from Vodafone about this £25. Only found out when I checked my credit report and saw 'You opened your VODAFONE LTD GEMINI (I)'. I will never have anything to do with this mobile company again. On checking up what Vodafone Ltd Gemini was I saw that vodafone were getting a disproportionate number of complaints that Vodafone is damaging people's credit files through carelessness and poor systems. If you have suffered as a result of inaccurate data being entered onto your credit file then you are not alone. You should make an immediate written complaint to the:- Information Commissioner's Office Wycliffe House Water Lane Wilmslow Cheshire SK9 5AF Hope this helps other people not to go through what I did and end up out of pocket and credit file being damaged.

Never experienced such bad customer service! Wanted to upgrade my contract to a sim only then transfer the ownership, 4 and half hours later on the phone, being passed across 10 different departments, 3 tweets and 2 and half hours to online chat it still wasn't resolved....this was just in 1 day! The so called 'technical department' didn't even know what the problem was with the account. Gave up in the end and cancelled the contract only to find out 3 weeks later that the account had been reactivated (without my consent!) 5 days after I called to cancel! Customer services hadn't even cancelled the contract and claimed there was no evidence of this call...funny that as I have a call history that says otherwise...absolutely appalling! In total I have spent the best part of over 16 hours on the phone to customer services to resolve and cancel this contract. I had previously had to go to the ombudsman about Vodafone when I previously took out 1 pay monthly phone contract in store only to find out that they has somehow signed me up to 4 phone contracts and had to pay for all 4 contracts for over 8 months before it was resolved. The only reason it was resolved was due to the ombudsman getting involved. Never seen such a string on incompetent and poor service. Do not waste your time with them!
