Many of the organic vegetables and fruit which used to last up to and even beyond the sell by date now seriously go off well before the sell by date. The quality has visibly not so much declined as plummeted in recent times. This may have resulted in an attempt by Waitrose to cut the cost of shopping in order to compete with Tesco etc. resulting in a false economy for the customer. Also their staff attitudes have changed in being less friendly and helpful.

Always happy with my shopping experience, staff go beyond themselves to help you, well done! I also love the wide range of products, you can always find them there even when other stores would discontinue them.

It's just a different (i.e., better) shopping experience. There's plenty of room; the staff are helpful and friendly; you can have a free hot drink with any purchase. It's true that, say, fillet steak is quite expensive but they have a range of products called Waitrose Essentials which are very competitively priced.

Waitrose has some great deals on ethically sourced food, and some ethically produced products, such as recycled toilet paper. This helps me do my bit for the environment. The staff are always friendly and lead you to the item you're looking for.

I use this shop a minimum of 3 times a week and spend a minimum of £70 per week in the store plus @ £25-£30 per week on diesel which equates to roughly £5,000 per year altogether.(Actually my partner gets her fuel there as well,so that's another £1.500 per year!).Over the last couple of years some staff ("partners") apparently have developed the habit of continuing their conversation/s that they were having before l came in and interrupted buy things AS IF I WAS NOT THERE-l do not expect to be saluted or called 'Sir';just basic Hello/Goodbye,Please/Thank you and Eye contact would surely not be too much to ask without having 2 (or even 3) cashiers carrying on a conversation about where they are going on holiday or something.Fair enough-if there are no customers to serve , have a chat, but when there is a customer a little bit of attention ("customer service"),This applies to both the main store and the fuel station. Also,at another time 2 staff were replenishing in the drinks aisle and really bad-mouthing a member of management loudly which seemed very unprofessional to me - I had to say to them "l do know who xxxx is you know!" but they carried on. Next, onto the men's toilets....these are a disgrace. It is a tiny space with 2 urinals and 1 cubicle. There is a small modesty/privacy partition-but if you are using the urinal your back can be seen by one of the checkout staff and any customers using it-all the way down the aisle to the bakery/deli counter when the door opens! If you leant back you could chat to sdmeone in the store .Hardly ever any handwash either. Staff seem to have been cut in the cafe-never enough people to have tables cleared for next customers! (l still won't go to Morrison's in Wymondham because l know where most things are in Waitrose).

Today my order was delivered 20 minutes late, I was not informed of any problems. There were 5 substitutions. I was delivered Ox tongue at £10.50, which was not ordered. Each time I have a delivery there are substitutions.

My accolade must go to a member of your staff, who without his help, I would of been unable to order on line as the branch did not have the part I needed in stock. I contacted the branch and spoke to Dave. He was extremely helpful and ordered the part for me so that it was available at the branch thereby permitting me to continue my 'online' order. He also informed me that he was able to hold the part as I was unable to collect the item for a few days. I kept in touch with Dave and I arranged for a date to collect the part. Upon my arrival at the Branch Head Office had electronically 'returned my item to stock' even though the item was still in the possession of the Canterbury branch, this caused a problem to pay as the store computer failed to show the item being available. Dave however was not phazed and told me he would contact Head Office and sort the problem. This he did, and within a short time, much to my relief as I had travelled from France to collect my order I was able to pay in store. I have to say that Dave was polite and did everything necessary to ensure that his customer left the store satisfied despite the system causing him to re-establish the validity of my order. I would ask that you recognise the care and consideration Dave showed throughout from the time I placed my order to the time when he was faced with a problem that would of resulted in creating a great deal of frustration and annoyance for me. A well deserved 'Well done' for Dave and a great way of showing that GSF Carparts Canterbury do care for their customers.

The product quality is generally good and most of what I need is available. There are specific products from Belgium and Italy that I used to buy when living in Belgium, and I'm glad to find them again in Waitrose after moving to the UK. Some of them are not available in Tesco but available in Waitrose. And I enjoy using the "my waitrose" card system because it not only gives you discount but also tailor the service and promotion according to your needs.
