Dishonest and lies - ignore marketing hype Wrote to Declan Bailey on 25 August 21 about the below. No response. Not surprised when all of the below points to a company that is dishonest and has no issues lying at the highest level. Warrantywise refused my claim to replace Shocks Absorbers (SA) on the grounds of “heavy misting”. They justified this by sending me a link from an Australian website which states, “Heavy DIRT” This is because the words “heavy misting” linked to SA do not exist on this planet. It is heavy leaking. According to Warrantywise there is no difference between oil and dirt. The company creates words so they do not have to pay claims and increase profits. That is why they have chosen not to give its customers the option to go for independent arbitration if you disagree with the company. You MUST take them to Court. A good reason not to buy or renew your warranty with this company. Their engineer described one SA as “heavy misting” when its heavy leaking due to being defective. Audi had already confirmed heavy leaking and needing replacement. MOT passed 7 weeks earlier with no advisories i.e. no issues with SA. Willson found another excuse to reject my claim - wear and tear. How can a SA go from perfect to HEAVY leaking in 7 weeks and be wear and tear (see B3.2 of T&C)? They then found another excuse - co-founder told me “leaking is not covered” yet they say in their marketing hype they paid out at least 14 such claims, one costing £9k! So no issues lying at the highest level. Warrantywise proudly say Quentin Willson is the arbitrator / has last say and we are all supposed to say fantastic. Let’s look at some facts. Willson helped Toby Whittaker (the father of the owner of Warrantywise) market Store First promising 85% return in six years – check it out on YouTube or google the words "Store First and Willson". This is a must read before you purchase a warranty. Store First was shut down and investors lost some £300 million including many pensioners. How much of the £25 million Willson is now worth came from marketing this company? Did he pay back the money he earned from this company to the poor pensioners? I cannot find anything maybe he will tell us. Website says, “It was one of the highest profile as its advertising and marketing materials were fronted by television presenter Quentin Wilson.” He is doing it again with Warrantywise. Willson says “I'm so confident that Warrantywise is the market leader, I'm prepared to say in writing that I believe it is the UK’s best used car warranty you can buy." The last time he said something so confidently pensioners and others lost all their money due to Willson making false promises of 85% return. Do not fall for this hype. Willson was convicted in Court for clocking back mileage when he was a car dealer. He is NOT the owner of the company neither is he a shareholder. He is a paid consulted and no doubt paid handsomely. The question you have to ask is this – is Willson going to look after the company’s interest that pays him or your interest as the customer. This is called conflict of interest and normally people in such positions declare this so that customers can make objective decisions. Willson has opted not to do this. Warrantywise’s profits are down by almost £1million. Could this be behind the refusal of my genuine claim and the lies and excuses and weasel words? The company says it paid the following claims (this is just three examples of over 1000). No wonder a lot of customers are disappointed because they are brainwashed into thinking they will pay all claims including in excess of £40,000! High time Willson started to level up with the people who have trusted him and provide date of registration of these cars, the date the claim was made and the amount paid for each claim. Also, what claims have been rejected so that customers can make objective decisions. This they won’t do as it is all marketing hype just like Store First. Look for a company with no marketing hype and false promises and access to independent arbitration (a must). LAMBORGHINI AVENTADOR Engine £40,701.00 LAMBORGHINI GALLARDO Engine £40,614.23 MCLAREN MP4-12C Gearbox £26,000.00 Response to Warrantywise's response: Your engineer did not know the fact that 7 weeks prior to his inspection, the car passed MOT without any advisories. Also if it was not sudden failure, why did warrantywise staff google the internet to find the words "heavy misting" which does not exist and linked it with heavy dirt to justify its decision? When that didn't work you responded its wear and tear. When that did not work, you lied and said its leaking. Isn't this the reason why you do not offer arbitration so that you can reject genuine claims by continuing to move the goal post including lying? Reply from Warrantywise 2 hours ago Good morning, I am very sorry to hear you are unhappy with the outcome of your recent repair request; however, I would like to clarify that we declined your repair request based on the findings of the Independent Vehicle Examiner we instructed to your vehicle, given that they stated your shock absorbers hadn't suffered a Sudden Mechanical Breakdown, as defined within your Warranty Terms. I must assure you that no Warranty company will cover you for a part that has not yet suffered a failure. I appreciate this is not ideal, nor is it the outcome you would have hoped for; nonetheless, you have been advised of our final stance on this matter and this is the decision we will abide by, of which is in full adherence with our Terms and Conditions. I apologise that we cannot assist you further here. Regards, Olivia

Requested a call back from there supervisor and that never happened. they don't care about the customer. They breached the contract and won't even respond to my numerous attempts to make contact. Frauds all of them.

The WORST experience ever. I purchased a warranty plan with MOT protection. I feel this was mis sold. Warrantywise refused to pay for a repair necessary for MOT pass. Made numerous experiences to resolve this, but experienced rude staff, no help, no reply, no help from QUENTIN. Facing to be without a car and not able to take the children to school.

only giving one star because unable to give nought. Crank shaft snapped on Range Rover and warranty wise declined to pay as they said wear and tear even though my mechanic who trained with Land Rover says that it is definitely not the case but is a fault in the part. Since when do independent assessors get appointed by one side of a dispute. If they are independent they should be agreed on by both parties so we know that the decision will be fair and square. Only had the car 11 months and this is the 2nd claim that they have rejected where the decision was disputed by the garage.

When selling you the warranty they offer and promise you the world. However, when something goes wrong with your car THEN magically nothing is covered and you’ve been paying £50-100 a month for no reason whatsoever. Legalised scam is what warranty wise are.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I have seen the bloody warnings from people but I just did not believe it. I thought to myself I have everything in order and they can't find a reason to refuse a claim But GUESS WHAT, this company must be related to the Satan organisation. Everything was correct until they send an examiner which says that his opinion is that the fault happened three months prior to starting the policy despite showing the mileage photo of it being faultless. Trust me and I can't stress this enough is to avoid them at all costs. Go to warrantydirect because they will repair your car although they might be 20 pounds a month more expensive but so bloody worth it.

so if you love a joke then 100% you need to take out a warranty with this company, because that's what your going to get if you try and make a claim. I took out the highest level of plan possible on my car that covers everything they say... well the turbo failed on my car due to a wear and tear issue which is meant to be covered, after countless phone calls to them chasing everything up and not getting contact back they finally decided to send out a 3rd party assessor. how confirmed it was a wear and tear issue. I was then told they still would not cover the repair because there was not a sudden failure to the part. wear and tear in definition is when a part is worn out over time so there will never be a sudden repair and this company will use this every time you try and make a claim on any part under these conditions. complete waste of time and money, if you look through any reviews your not likely to find a highly rated one from a customer who has made a claim. AVOID AVOID AVOID !!!!

Do not take out this warranty Had an oil leak about 6 weeks after buying my car and the hassle to find a vat garage to check my car over was crazy as they were all refusing to work with warranties.Just that alone was a problem.Warrantise do not pay for the issue at all. I'm going back to the seller of the car and doing a small case claim as buyers have rights within 3 months of buying a car. Never again waste of time and money

Absolute bunch of con artists. Their platinum car policies are not worth a toss. After submitting a quote from a reputable garage for £530.50 I was told the issue with the car (air con) was covered. I had the work done 2 weeks later and paid the bill myself expecting to be able to re claim the money from wwise. I received an email from them saying that they would give me £163.00 as various things were not covered, diagnosis, air con re gas, only up to £50 per hr labour, and £58 for parts when the garage fitted £224.58 in parts! I also was asked to provide an invoice for the £163 from the garage made out to warranty wise or I would not get a cheque issued. So they want a fictitious invoice that doesn't match either what I paid or the garages books! It's a complete joke. I told them to shove their cover as I was so annoyed at being ripped off and had ran out of patience. They are an absolute disgrace, a bunch of shysters and should be avoided at all costs. Whilst all this was going on they have been pestering me with phone calls from various different numbers (now all blocked) , emails trying to get me to renew and upgrade my my policy! AVOID WASTING YOUR TIME AND MONEY WITH THIS DICK TURPIN OUTFIT!

A RIP-OFF!! The slogan to get 'worry free motoring' and that 'you're getting the best, and most comprehensive cover possible - regardless of make, model and mileage of your vehicle' is simply not true. I have had a dreadful experience with this company since taking out an extended warranty plan in May 2020. They are very nice when offering the plan and taking your money but it is a different story when it comes to honouring a claim. I was told that the plan I was getting was the best and most comprehensive cover possible as per the slogan!! I am not surprised when new customers provide favourable reviews but that is before they try and claim!! I have had the most stressful experience in trying to claim for the cost of repair from a sudden breakdown of my car. My claim was rejected as their ‘independent vehicle examiner’ found no evidence of any sudden mechanical or electrical failure and that the faults were not confirmed. The cause of the sudden failure was diagnosed by the garage and the car manufacturer advised on the parts to be replaced. Incredibly the independent examiner, who was only present at the garage for about 10 minutes, was shown the old components but somehow could not confirm that there was a fault!! The car would not have been taken to a garage unless there was a sudden failure. I then had to engage in numerous telephone calls and a string of emails to pursue this claim but to no avail. All of this also resulted in my family not having access to a car for nearly three weeks with all the stress and inconvenience that entailed. I have now cancelled the extended plan but even that was not straight forward!! Unbelievably their initial refund calculation showed a deduction of £84 for the independent examiner inspection who then rejected my claim!!! I objected to this deduction and eventually they agreed to waiver this charge. They wanted me to pay for somebody to tell me that there had not been a sudden failure – unbelievable!!! I have since received an offer of a goodwill contribution to assist with the cost of the repairs but the plan would need to be reinstated for any financial contribution. I will not be reinstating the plan as I do not want to go through the stress and worry in dealing with this company again. I had copied the Quentin Willson email address into my last email to them but this has not been acknowledged or answered within 5 working days as stated in their Warranty Plan. It beggars belief how they can claim that they are ‘frequently recognised for a great product and service they provide’. My experience is a million miles away from that and I would not recommend this company to anyone. They are total scammers!!! Regardless of the policy you have, covering the breakdown, they will make up any reason they possibly can to avoid paying, they make it up as they go along. Do NOT trust them!!! A policy with this “outfit” is a complete waste of your money.

Shocking nightmare to deal with and wriggles out of any claim. My engine went bang 6 weeks into ownership, firstly they tried to suggest it hadn't been serviced, when I proved it have indeed been serviced correctly and on time, they then said its ware and tear, which, just like others have had, contradicts the garage and manufactures assessments. Just don't bother wasting your money on these people, and I took the Platinum plan too!

False engineer reports Contradicts Dealer and Manufacturer The company is a scam and not worth the paper its written on. Will not pay for the repair when I am totally covered but they are giving false engineer report to avoid paying when the Manufacturer and dealer has told them otherwise. My email to them and no reply since. Dear Sirs, Thank you for your recent communication. Having considered your engineers report and its finding I find it hard to believe your engineer could have come to such a conclusion without inspecting the vehicle by removing the necessary parts. For your information please see attached images provided by Volvo and the forwarded email below also form Volvo. The engineers at Volvo have confirmed the issue identified is not a result of "wear" but a result of sudden failure of a mechanical component. In the event this part failed it would cause a shut down of the vehicle as it did at the time the incident occurred and I required emergency recovery. Your allegations the part was faulty at the time I took the policy are completely unfounded, it would not be possible to drive anywhere in the event the part was found to be faulty some 3000 miles ago. As result of the Volvo report and as evidenced in the enclosed images the "engineer" report you have provided seems to be some what of a guess as to the fault, I would have expected the engineer to provide a detailed report to confirm the fault not a guess. Volvo have confirmed the engineer attended the premises and spent around 7-10 minutes to identify the problem, the process used to identify the problem as witnessed by Volvo was "drove the car in circles" and then "glanced under the car", this to me does not sound like the correct way a diagnoses should be conducted. To conclude Volvo (Hatfield) have now repaired the vehicle as your service standard fell short of what one would expect. Your "engineer" report and the way you have conducted yourself throughout this process has left me feeling disappointed with the service I have received. It has also become clear you are not willing to accept that a warranty for a vehicle is taken out to ensure such incidents are covered. I also feel as a organisation your initial attempts are to get away with paying noting and to sell an insurance policy which is not worth the paper its written on, I feel I should also make other consumers aware of the sub standard service I have received. REPLY TO YOUR REPLY ON MY REVIEW Again you give false information as there has been no independent engineer that has given a report. On both occasions the same engineer employed by warrantywise wise came and made the same report. According to law an independent engineer means both side have to agree on the independent engineer, not you sending out the same engineer either working or contracted by warrentywise. The courts will decide when I take the matter futher.
