I had a bathroom installed from Wickes in April 2021. To start with the wrong shower tray was ordered and the designer tried to say it was because of the floor joists. At this point the floor hadn’t been uncovered for this to be checked!! I had also ordered a new window to fit in with the new design which was not required and this left me out of pocket too. The plumber had to re-design the bathroom on the spot to avoid further delays. This resulted in some boxing out work not being required which I have paid for. The shower is unsafe to use as the control box has come apart and the sealant around the bath has now failed too. I have contacted both the Chester Branch and Customer Services without success I just keep getting one excuse after another. Currently still awaiting refund for work not carried out and the replacement shower to be fitted. Three months waiting for these issues to be sorted is just a complete joke!! The designer at the Chester store and Wickes should be avoided at all costs.

Wickes Wolverhampton is quite simply the worst store. The Operational manager who I believe is called Indra has a rude and unhelpful manner the worst I’ve ever come across within the customer service industry. She seems very proud of her position and seems to think she owns the company even asking if I know the price of the flooring I was purchasing before it was discontinued. She then decided to make up prices and then telling you to take it or leave it. I will not be returning to that branch anytime soon. I am a fan of wickes but will probably use b&q due to her unprofessional attitude and rudeness.

Avoid The worst company in both ways either delivery either stores. Their stores are always empty shelves and products all over the place with rude staff and delivery? left without words after 3 times missing my time deliveries with at least one week and this time two weeks. When you order more products online they don’t mention it comes from suppliers until you pay and then a message saying the supplier should contact you with delivery information. They never did that, I called them myself all the time but still same kind of people. When you got workers they have to be paid no matter you have the materials or not. Wickes should be ashamed, better pay a bit more at B&Q and also a bigger variety of products and their stores are full with everything you need. Shame to Wickes! Avoid!

If you feel that lockdown is affecting your brain function I suggest you order a Bathroom Installation from Wickes. The demands upon your cognitive features over the possibly 8 month project will keep you on your toes and do much for your mental health since you will spend 24 hours a day is questioning your sanity.

How do you get customer service to escalate your complaint when you are unhappy with the resolution they give you

Online orders are almost never delivered on time. They mostly miss deliveries and we end up in a never ending circle of seeking customer support to (try to) arrange a redelivery or (hope to) get a refund. This is a tiring process and you need a lot of luck to get it sorted. My order was due to be delivered on the 3rd of June 2021. The items have not been delivered as of today the 28th of June 2021 after contacting their customer support four times. This also happened with a previous order where one item never arrived and it took me 5 calls and a lot of grievance to get a refund after almost a month. I was told that their terms and conditions dictate that it’s the customers responsibility to chase them and keep trying to sort out their mistakes and deal with their incompetence. I say they should stop their online store and rename customer support to customer annoyance.

Dane, from stevenage store, fantastic kitchen design service. Dane was an amazing kitchen and bathroom designer. He listened to everything I had to say, which was a lot. Dane should be proud of himself, carry on your hard work. Great service many thanks

Paid for a potting shed in February 2021 in full, to be informed on the website WILL be delivered within 105 days. Followed up our order to be told it would be delivered 17th September, 7 months after we had paid for it. Customer service is appalling, wouldn't do anything to change or improve the issue and then cancelled our order!!! All after removing our old shed, so all our tools are set outside, and apparently we have to wait 2 weeks for a refund. Always used Wickes but now I'm not recommending them anyone. Appalling and misleading advertising!!

We went to Wickes in March to order a bathroom. Didn’t get an appointment with a sales rep until May. Ordered a bathroom and paid £4000 up front. We were told the installation would begin in 6 weeks. Never heard anything. Rang them every week for 5 weeks. Eventually installer rang and said they couldn’t install until end of September, 6 months after our initial visit to store. We have cancelled the whole order. The company are a chaotic mess. Shambolic.

Ordered 2 doors. One of them is totally different product. Reached the customer service few times. Now I have to proof that wrong door was delivered. I have to wait 10 mins each time i call customer service. I am in lose-lose situation. Even if I get my money back, I have faced a lot of headache.

Paid £131 for timber to be delivered. Delivery arrived with 1 item missing and 2 items in poor condition. Was told would have to wait a number of days for replacement so I cancelled the order as needed timber quicker for project so went to other supplier. Asked for refund and was told would take up to 14 days. No refund so sent several e mails and made numerous phone calls regarding my refund. Nobody contacted me and after a whole month got my refund in 2 x instalments. Terrible service and terrible customer service.

Waited in all day having been told bath was being delivered between 10am and 2pm. At 4pm I rang customer services to enquire where bath was only to be told it was out of stock and there weren’t enough staff on to inform me that it wasn’t going to arrive!!!! What an abs joke. Fourth time now that delivery date had been changed. Offering me a refund on some thing I ordered in April when told it was in stock. Something going seriously wrong at Wickes. You can’t even complain until they either cancel your order or deliver it. I was told manager may ring me back but not guaranteed. Told to ring store where purchased from as part of design service so I did - they told me couldn’t do anything about it. New date for delivery is July and bathroom has been unused for months already as awaiting bath. Do not use Wickes until they resolve their issues.

Do not buy a kitchen from Wickes regardless of their offers. The after service is shocking as they never answer. The equipment missing from my delivery still hasn’t arrived despite many calls and visits to the store. The staff have no clue what’s happening and don’t care. The worktops which cost £600 per 3m length were chipped and damaged which they refused to replace as of had them longer than 30 days as we were waiting for a fitter and were still wrapped. DO NOT USE under any circumstances. Sun standard and Wren was cheaper for the identical kitchen but I’d used Wickes 15 years ago and they were ok then. ABSOLUTE MISTAKE using them this time.

I recently bought a house with a 5 month old Wickes conservatory (the property was uninhabited for the whole 5 months before we moved in). A couple of weeks after moving in one of the window locks completely broke off the window, the doors were sticking so badly that my wife can't kick them hard enough to open them and now the plastic flashing has already come away from the wall. Significant remedial works required but their customer service don't want to know as I wasn't their customer. This is such poor quality that I will be avoiding Wickes for the rest of my life!

Messed around for two days before being told I wouldn't be able to order with them. Awful customer service, Unreliable stock and delivery information. Wasted two days waiting for Wickes, simply unreliable. Wasted my money and time. I was told by 4 different departments and staff members at Wickes (customer service phone call, customer service live chat and the staff and duty manager at Glossop) that their stock and delivery options would be available to order in the next two days. Two days later and I'm told that despite those 4 separate confirmations I'm not able to order online, and when I've rang the customer service they give absolutely no useful information and don't know when or why the product is unavailable for delivery. I wanted to spend £300 and I couldn't due to incompetence from staff.
