DO NOT USE WICKES, we bought a kitchen from them 5 or so years ago, everything was fine and we were happy with the product until our counter cracked along the drainage grooves (where you dry your washing up). Apparently the grooves were cut to shallow by Wickes and over time this caused the counter to split. We spent weeks getting through to the right person at customer service to resolve the matter, when we finally did they said they wouldn't do anything. We finally took them to Small Claims Court, where they eventually decided to settle and replace the counter. We were sent a new counter which was dropped on delivery damaging it, as well as being the incorrect size for our kitchen. We've now been waiting for 1 month with a huge damaged counter top in our small living room and no one at Wickes cares or will resolve the matter. We have a new born child and are living in a building site. WICKES YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED.

Do not use the bathroom installation service. We have had poor workmanship, poor quality goods and over three months later have not had our bathrooms finished. The first installer sent in a Completion certificate (including one of electrical safety) when we had bare wires hanging out of the walls. Many many deliveries of bits and bobs. We were offered a very small discount as compensation which we declined and now they have just referred us to the ombudsmen without any effort to reach an agreement. We used the Weston-Super-Mare branch. Watchdog featured Wickes on it's show last night so clearly we are not alone. No end it sight. Non functioning main bathroom for three months now and a half finished en-suite. No effort being made to restore their now abysmal reputation.

Absolutely pitiful service. DO NOT USE! We instructed Wickes 7months ago to fit our bathroom. Waited 10weeks for fitter to book us in. Just days before fitter arrived we were told our bath wasn't in stock, this was the beginning of never ending stock and fitter issues. Five months on from the fitters initial visit we still don't have a backsplash/tap, have poorly plastered walls and no financial recourse from Wickes, the fitter also left the radiator valve open so caused a leak causing water damage on our newly redecorated ceiling downstairs and also dropped tiles causing damage to downstairs ceilings. The Customer Service is abysmal and we still don't know when it will be finished. If I could turn back the clock I would never ever use them. Save yourself months of hassle and go elsewhere!

Wickes really need to change their slogan I think Wickes needs to change their logo from "Let's do it right" to "Please don't buy anything from us unless you are totally 110% sure it is what you want and it will fit as we have a 30day returns policy and it is non-negotiable but if you are lucky (only due to managers discretion) and we give a refund it will be only be in the form of a gift card credit which you need to spend in 2 years otherwise will will take you money that way!" Wickes need to rethink their returns policy and give the consumer confidence in the Wickes brand. IKEA have got it right by offering a 365 day returns policy. 30days is not very long to find a builder/tradesperson to complete a job so when items have been purchased and issues arise which makes the product(s) superfluous becase they wont fit, to be quoted 30 days, 30 days, 30 days and tough luck lady by the local store manager does not help improve their image. It wasn't as though I was wanting to return everything I had bought - it was just 1 item which is still being sold by Wickes and the box was unopened Employees have no customer service training, and behave like robots just quoting the policy the policy the policy. Too many little men puffing out their chests out pretending to be important. Perhaps the CEO ought to try being a mystery shopper at his stores and see just how appalling their after sales customer service is!

I had a bathroom installed from Wickes in April 2021. To start with the wrong shower tray was ordered and the designer tried to say it was because of the floor joists. At this point the floor hadn’t been uncovered for this to be checked!! I had also ordered a new window to fit in with the new design which was not required and this left me out of pocket too. The plumber had to re-design the bathroom on the spot to avoid further delays. This resulted in some boxing out work not being required which I have paid for. The shower is unsafe to use as the control box has come apart and the sealant around the bath has now failed too. I have contacted both the Chester Branch and Customer Services without success I just keep getting one excuse after another. Currently still awaiting refund for work not carried out and the replacement shower to be fitted. Three months waiting for these issues to be sorted is just a complete joke!! The designer at the Chester store and Wickes should be avoided at all costs.

Wickes Wolverhampton is quite simply the worst store. The Operational manager who I believe is called Indra has a rude and unhelpful manner the worst I’ve ever come across within the customer service industry. She seems very proud of her position and seems to think she owns the company even asking if I know the price of the flooring I was purchasing before it was discontinued. She then decided to make up prices and then telling you to take it or leave it. I will not be returning to that branch anytime soon. I am a fan of wickes but will probably use b&q due to her unprofessional attitude and rudeness.

Avoid The worst company in both ways either delivery either stores. Their stores are always empty shelves and products all over the place with rude staff and delivery? left without words after 3 times missing my time deliveries with at least one week and this time two weeks. When you order more products online they don’t mention it comes from suppliers until you pay and then a message saying the supplier should contact you with delivery information. They never did that, I called them myself all the time but still same kind of people. When you got workers they have to be paid no matter you have the materials or not. Wickes should be ashamed, better pay a bit more at B&Q and also a bigger variety of products and their stores are full with everything you need. Shame to Wickes! Avoid!

If you feel that lockdown is affecting your brain function I suggest you order a Bathroom Installation from Wickes. The demands upon your cognitive features over the possibly 8 month project will keep you on your toes and do much for your mental health since you will spend 24 hours a day is questioning your sanity.

How do you get customer service to escalate your complaint when you are unhappy with the resolution they give you

Online orders are almost never delivered on time. They mostly miss deliveries and we end up in a never ending circle of seeking customer support to (try to) arrange a redelivery or (hope to) get a refund. This is a tiring process and you need a lot of luck to get it sorted. My order was due to be delivered on the 3rd of June 2021. The items have not been delivered as of today the 28th of June 2021 after contacting their customer support four times. This also happened with a previous order where one item never arrived and it took me 5 calls and a lot of grievance to get a refund after almost a month. I was told that their terms and conditions dictate that it’s the customers responsibility to chase them and keep trying to sort out their mistakes and deal with their incompetence. I say they should stop their online store and rename customer support to customer annoyance.

Paid for a potting shed in February 2021 in full, to be informed on the website WILL be delivered within 105 days. Followed up our order to be told it would be delivered 17th September, 7 months after we had paid for it. Customer service is appalling, wouldn't do anything to change or improve the issue and then cancelled our order!!! All after removing our old shed, so all our tools are set outside, and apparently we have to wait 2 weeks for a refund. Always used Wickes but now I'm not recommending them anyone. Appalling and misleading advertising!!
