I had a delivery of two faulty items. I rang their customer services and they arranged a date for pick up. I waited in all day but no-one came. I rang customer services several times and they kept changing the pick up time. Eventually when it was late (9ish) and obvious no-one was coming they arranged another date for delivery but again the same thing happened. Once again I rang their number and after a long wait while someone was making enquiries I was cut off. I don't know how much my phone bill will be with the phone calls I have had to make and the time spent waiting in their queue. I still have the items but will have to arrange a taxi to take me to a shop to deliver them back in person (they are bulky items) if I am ever to get a refund. I asked about speaking to a supervisor to complain but was told no-one was available. All Argos are interested in is getting their money out of you and if you have any problems afterwards they do not want to know. They do not deserve to be still in business.

If I could give -10 stars I would. Have a call recoring of being told once I purchased an item I could call back up and they would reimburse me my 10% back on my bank card. They then tried to tell me no only a gift card could be offered, once I told them in the court of law if that recording was played they would have to up hold it, they told me I have to go back into store to get the 10% back (when I was told to call up and they would do it). But at the same time to go all the way back to the store would cost me money that they didn't care about. Originally I had to call them 5 times to get this resolved. Me being out of pocket due to there fault is something they don't care about. Argos use to be a big compamy growing up and over years have gone down hill, I can't wait till they go out of business. So happy for shops like smiths toy store, Currys, toys r us, Wilkos, b&m, amazon ect Their customer service is a JOKE!!! As for products thank God they don't have their own brand of products as I'd hate to know the quality of them. So remember ppl when you think you need to shop with Argos you really don't. There just selling products at the same price you can get elsewhere difference is the after care customer service you would get elsewhere would be a million times better than Argos. Don't waste your time with this company.....what a JOKE!!!

Shocking delivery service missed my delivery and when I rang the driver I was verbally abused and swore at. After putting a complaint in was told it would be dealt with but they couldn’t tell me due to data protection obviously nothing been done also promised a voucher for inconvience still waiting on that weeks later!! 1 ordered something else this week for my dad and I’m still waiting for it to come and been trying to speak to someone to get it delivered is unreal each and every time I order I have problems I have had bother previous to this it’s a disgusting service which is annoying as I like argos as a shop and use regular but seriously thinking about changing that.

"Disgusted with Argos/directors office, Gillian Galpin to be absolutely no help at all and the CEO John Rogers will not speak with his customers. I have been passed around from one department to another for almost three months. I would urge christmas shoppers NOT to spend money at Argos this festive period."

Ordered my iPhone on the 27th, received an email confirming my order on the same day. I received a text message yesterday saying that my phone will be delivered with yodel on the release date of the 3rd. On the phone all day today with yodel and argos and they all said my parcel was on its way. I was contacted by the help desk on twitter to advise me that "Sorry for the inconvenience but your item is on backorder, and we dont know when it will be in stock. You can wait or order something else" What horrible customer service, what a let down. I will not be using this company again. As a purchase is a contactual agreement between the buyer and the seller, and I received confirmation of delivery by phone and by text i will also be seeking compensation. I am sure that this has happened to others today and I advise you look up your consumer rights.

Beware - NEVER use their delivery service! If they deliver your order to the wrong address you will never see your goods or your money again. They will be extremely rude, off-hand and utterly intractable and refuse to do a thing about it. They will also accuse you of dishonesty when you complain about it and say you did not receive your order. Even contacting the directors of Argos or Sainsbury's directly is utterly fruitless - leaving you the only recourse to take the matter to the small claims court. They bet on you not doing that so don't care in the least. They expect you to just drop the matter and give in to save yourself further expense and duress. They delivered my order to the wrong address and the occupants signed for it and accepted the delivery even though it was clearly not for them. The Argos helpline even told me they had delivered it to the wrong address, which they later flatly denied. Argos refuse to do anything about their mistake, they won't send it to me again at the right address this time or offer me a refund. If you buy anything from them ONLY collect it in store if you don't want this to happen to you too. This isn't an isolated event. If you want to get the true picture of Argos and their appalling attitude towards customers then filter these reviews by the one star ones - and look up complaints against Argos online, they are innumerable. If you do complain to them make sure that all communication is in written form by letter or email and not by phone - if not they will deny it. I have heard reports that Argos are in financial difficulty - that does not surprise me in the least. Ordering from a company with financial difficulties is an extremely risky business - if they fold before you receive your order you may never get your money back - that is a very worthy consideration if you buy from them. Deal with them entirely at your own risk.

If you want a stress free purchase and delivery... Do not use Argos no matter what! I ordered on a Sunday and paid £12.00 delivery to have my stuff delivered on Monday night between 7.00pm and 10.00pm. I was purchasing some furniture to replace some old stuff, so after work on Monday I took apart all my old stuff ready for the new. It got to about half 9 so I thought it must be here soon, however I never received my delivery. I called Tuesday morning and wasnt at all annoyed as I understand mistakes can happen. On Tuesday I was told I would be able to have it delivered that day, so thought thats great. I did in deed receive one out of 4 of my packages, however it was the wrong colour so was again left with nothing. Wednesday morning I called again and they told me they were sorry and that I hadnt receievd it for the second time. Again because of the type of person I am I did not show any anger, although I was extremely stressed due to a hard start to the week at work as well as having to chase Argos. After my conversation, I confirmed exactly what I wuld be receiving Wednesday night and requested the transcript of this conversation. The answer I got was yes, you will receive everything between 7-10pm Wednesday night, I also got a text to that effect. Wednesday night came, it got to around 9.15 and I started to think Ive stayed in a 3rd night for no reason. I called Argos, whose trucks had already returned and their systems were down so couldnt help me and I would need to call back Thursday morning. It is now Friday and I am finishing work early today to go down to Argos to pick up my items because you cant trust they will be delivered.Argos also had the nerve to ask me to bring with me the item they had incorrectly delivered. Unbelievable.... If you do not want a breakdown, go somewhere else!

I was Refused to exchange the item. I bought it for my wife, but the main accessory was damaged very soon because of a poor quality. I try to exchange it in Argos, because there is allegedly 3 year guarantee. But was told in Argos that they can't change the item, because Argos has responsibility for only 1 year. But the item has 3 year guarantee. It's awful! I wasn't inform about it beforehand. Sometimes I make purchases from Argos, but I'm disappointed and very unhappy with your service.

I had an issue with a tablet I purchased. This was sent away for repair. To be brief there was a long drawn out issue re the repair_the store staff were rude which prompted me to ring head office. After much debate it was found that the repairs had confused my product with someone else's and my item would be returned within days. The manager I spoke to apologised and as a good will gesture refunded my postage costs and said I would receive a £25 voucher. That was at the begining of Oct. This has not arrived. I rang the office and was told I needed a reference number which i should have had from the manager if not they could not send voucher. I am furious, if this is meant to be good customer service it is sadly lacking. There was no record of this conversation I had had and no notes on my account and staff that do not know the system.. I will never deal with Argos again after this fiasco.

I bought 2 cabin beds from Argos. Both had a faulty piece meaning the shelf in the middle was wonky. This was only apparent after 8 hours of fixing and gluing both beds together. When i contacted Argos they gave me 3 options - take the beds apart and repack them then they would send 2 new ones (leaving my kids sleeping on the floor), take them apart (assuming they would as that have been glued) and they would send a replacement parts OR accept £50. When asked what would happen if the beds didn't come apart no solution could be given. These bed weigh 70kg and already had been taken up 2 flights of stairs. I've basically been told they responsibility only covers the faulty part. Any time, money or effort spent by me putting the beds together is basically tough luck. I could understand if it was a toy i could live without it take back to a shop but its a huge expensive piece of furniture. I'm really disappointed with the service.

Two left doors on the wardrobe, rang customer services to be met by the most arrogant man I've ever spoken too, told me I had to drive an hour away to pick up the door,I requested politely I'd like it delivered , he told me I wasn't in a position to dictate what I wanted ! I then asked to speak to his manager and he told me not in his job position to do that . I then asked for his name and he hung up on me. Second call made by my partner to a lady who , albeit friendly wanted us to drive even further then put us on hold for over 15 minutes then hung up ! Disgusting customer service , maybe you should record your employees , they couldn't care less but I know I won't be touching you again! If you provide an item that is faulty or defective it is your responsibility to rectify , to expect a customer to drive to whatever store stocks the item is blatantly wrong . Will never ever use you again , I'm left with a Ill fitting ,poor quality wardrobe that I've had to put new handles on and transfers to hide the fact that the wrong door was delivered . No help from customer services ...never , ever again and I've reported to trading standards .
