My wife recently picked out a watch on line she liked at Argos. She reserved the watch for pick up in store the next day.Unfortunately when we went into store to collect the watch there was no one who could resize the watch strap until the next day.Consequently we did not purchase the watch.Just make other watch purchasers aware.

As i entered my local Argos store I bought what i required from the self serve kiosk and went to stand in line for my item to come. There was no one manning these tills at this time which I understood maybe they were short staffed. Upon seeing my item arrive on the shelf, myself and a few others were still stood waiting with no one to serve. Again I understand short staffing is a problem, upon another staff member noticing our wait they called upon another staff member to come serve. Two staff members appeared and proceeded to open two tills, neither of which were at the self serve checkout. Upon witnessing this i grew tired and proceeded to collect the item of the shelf myself and leave my receipt there for proof of purchase. I quite literally served myself which begs the question, if there are staffing issues, why are they needed at all?

Having spent a couple of hours looking at the Argos website trying to navigate the not very helpful catagories i finally found the item that i was looking for, only to find it was not available in any store anywhere near me. What a waste of time.

I returned a Canon 700d DSLR, the assistant unpacked the item and looked for the battery to insert, but didn't, she then removed the body dust cover(thinking it was a lens cap) from the body and walked off with the camera to go see her boss,'really walking off without the dust cover?' I recommended she put the cover back on MY CAMERA and ask the boss to come here, she replaced the cover but walked off with MY PROPERTY (she effectively REPOSSESSED the item at which point I should have been refunded) I questioned what the position was if she dropped it out of sight She ignored me and tootled off through the obviously zero dirt environment of argos and went to find her boss, eventually she returned and said that the boss said it was dirty and obviously been opened, I advised her that argos policy is "unused"not unopened((she also said cameras aren't covered in" change your mind policy "))and that we suspected at purchase that it had been opened and returned(Written on receipt by previous assistant at purchase ).she advised me that if that had been the case they would have gotten another one from stock, I advised that they obviously would have done if they had more than one in stock, that is why I insisted that the original assistant annotate the receipt. She advised me that her boss said it was dirty (I cleaned everything immaculately and watched a YouTube unboxing to ensure I reboxed it perfectly(ocd)). I advised nylon knickers that it was likely that she caused that walking through the store, and that it was quite a dust attractor due to static. She gave way and said that the boss has agreed a full refund but we have to return it as damaged, I said it's perfectly fine but whatever, I don't know if there's any legal ramifications of her stating it was "damaged" but if so she should have advised me. Anyway I'm happy and someone somewhere is probably going to get a bargain buying this perfectly fine camera They used to have a 16 day NO QUESTIONS ASKED guarantee, everytime I took something back they asked questions. Try the CHANGED MY MIND policy and see what happens.

Purchased a printer pixmamg3650, did not have a counter or not able to adjust contrast, so obviously opened it, product not fit for purpose, supposedly got 5 star reveiws but little more than a toy. Then got short shift with Argos manager at Swansea fforestfach branch he then dellibetly damaged box to stop us tacking it back. Will not step foot in a Argos store again. Hope this helps.

Very disappointed. I have purchased a lot of products from Argo in the past, and have always been happy with the service I have received from them. I recently bought a dehumidifier and waited all the allotted day for the delivery, nothing. I rang Argos, who said it would be delivered the following day. We waited in all day, then at approximately 8pm I received a text message, saying that it had been delivered, upon investigation, I found it left outside my house in the dark. We had to return the item unfortunately, and had a date provided for it's collection, waited in all day, nothing. Waited in all the next day, nothing, after phoning Argos yet again, I was informed that it would definitely be collected yesterday. At 4.40 pm I rang Argos again, and was shocked to hear that the courier had called at my home at 4.45 pm no-one answered the door, so a card was put through my letter box, utter rubbish, I was on the phone to Argos in my hallway, next to the front door at that precise time. I was told that someone would chase Yodel and ring me back, they didn't. By this time my patience was running out, I rang Argos again, without a result. Today I rang the head office, they will TRY to arrange collection. Words fail me, I have never in my life been treated so badly by any other company. Result, apparently the item will be collected today, we shall see ! Sorry Argos, this is a wake up call.

Had an order accepted and a named delivery day and time, spent a whole Saturday waiting for delivery and nothing came , after 2 days contacted Argos and was told they did not even have stock of my order even though they took the money from my account, not good were the customer has to chase a company to rectify their mistakes no wonder they keep changing owners just hope Sainsburys sort them out soon as I have lost confidence in them

Ordered a next day delivery between 7.00am-10.30am, even had a text that morning to say it was on its way, anyhow by 11.30am no delivery so I rang Argos to see where it was and they said it's been delivered to some neighbour’s house down the road at 8.30am even though I was in, not even a call. We were not even notified by card in post, text or call to say it is delivered is beyond me... if I didn’t ring up I would have been sat in all day! And to make it worse I did not receive my parcel until day after.... If the driver delivered to some house on same street down the road he/she must have passed my house, if he/she looked at the house numbers he/she would have known to walk back like 20 yards... I gave it 2 stars is because they delivered to me last time!!

Went to dudley argos having reserved things online. Was waiting over 20 mins and there was no one in front of me. There was an item missing so had to wait even longer. Was served by a miserable little woman. Then the following day i went to argos halesowen. I kept trying online to reserve a harley quinn doll. All to no avail. So i had to order it instore. It said my order and other peoples were ready when in fact no orders at all were on the shelves. Reallypoor service. A lot of the xmas stock is in the books but when you try and order it theres none left.

I ordered online a number of pieces of "New Age Bold" garage furniture. Twice the order was partially overlooked, the time frames quoted were not honoured, the customer relations team stating that the product comes direct from the manufacturer, so using this as an excuse. The relationship between the manufacturer and Argos as a retailer in this instance has fallen extremely short of what is acceptable in this day and age. Many many emails, many many telephone conversations, lots of dishonoured timeframes, damaged goods delivered, and not yet replaced, I can only say, how poor Argos have been in my experience.

Went to my local store on Monday to purchase a Dyson V6 which was on offer for £199. This was not in stock so reserved it and given a reservation number and told to collect today (Thursday). Asked if I paid now or on collection, informed on collection. When I went into store today was informed the price was now £299. I explained I had my reservation number etc., but was turned away. At no time was I informed that the price could go up even if I reserved the item. Absolutely disgusted with the service I received.
