I ordered an table with 4 chairs, after I lost over 3 hours assembling the item I realise that The last chair front leg of the item was damaged I call costumer service on 03456402020 and they LIE that they don’t have this item in stock to order or delivery even when I explain I can see order it online and receive it same day delivery they say that they don’t have it on stock but they can offer me £10 gift card in order to keep the broken chair keep in mind the item cost is £200 after I tell them that is not an option at all as is not a minor issue like a scratch or something and is a major damage that make the item unusable they say that they can rearrange collection but I need to disassemble the item put it on the original package and then I will receive the refund with in 30 days 😒 do I lost 3 hours in assembling and now I will start disassemble and I will receive my money back in 30 days eventually as I can see several comments that people waiting for months and months for refund and don’t receive it so the greedy owners can keep the interest or work with peoples money by sending out broken items that they know you will have to return or trash clearly a scam!!! definitely that was the last time I ever gonna purchase anything from Argos the customer experience have become the worst thing ever since this brand has been both by Sainsbury !!!

Bought a Bush TV last May. Had to return it in January as no internet connection and sound crackling. Was away for exactly a month. Today the picture disappeared and there was a thin purple line down the screen. Argos insist it must be sent for repair again. I have no confidence in either the TV or the repairs and would like a refund but they insist it must be sent for repair again as it's a different fault. Ten month old TV away for repair twice. Not happy.

Fobbed off for being disabled. Had ordered a washing machine two weeks ago and heard nothing back. I tried numerous times to contact them only to be fobbed off. Eventually spoke to someone who tried to help only to be told I would have to re order and would be refunded but have to wait up to a week for the refund. Meaning another week with no washing machine while awaiting the refund. Tried explaining I was disabled and had no washing machine or clean clothes and no money to make new order. So asked if my order could be changed as I could not wait another week for the refund to arrive before being able to order another. But was fobbed off with a £20 voucher instead, which is not going to fix my problem of having no washing machine and no clean clothes for another week after waiting two weeks. Utterly unacceptable and a total breach of access to goods and services legislation.

Delivery and installation ordered and paid for on a dishwasher. Absolutely useless. I installed the dishwasher myself within half hour of them leaving saying they can’t do it. I have never installed a dishwasher before but did it today!!!

Ordered online, got product, opened it but it didn't suit so am now stuck with it because I had opened it. Something isn't right about this but they refused to take it back. Will never skip there again.

Bought a Lego switch game as part of a pack. Would not return it due to the game not having wrapping on it. The game was in a box with a case so it would not have. I asked them to open on on shelf and they refused. Then they told me to contact Argos online. They said it could not be returned as it is a digital download but that is not mention in the returns policy. They agreed that is was not but still would not accept any responsibility so just kept the money and now we have a game that is useless. Really need to looks at returns policy on the website as it does not line up with what is in the product description.

I ordered a Roma chairbed on 16 November 22 and was given a delivery date of 22 December. On the day I was given a 2 hour slot of 16.00 -18.00 and duly waited. 10 minutes before the deadline I had a text telling me they couldn't deliver! When I phoned the number they gave I was told the van had broken down and they had no more delivery slots till 25 January. I very reluctantly agreed to this although I would have reasonably expected to receive it the following day instead. Then yesterday I had another text saying that delivery is now delayed till 6 February. I have googled and see that Argos have a track record of letting people down badly on deliveries. They have had my money since 16 November and I have nothing to show for it. I will now cancel the order and hopefully they will make a better job of refunding my money than they do at delivering goods. They don't deserve even one star!

I had a washing machine delivered today, I paid £50 online for the old one to be taken away and the new one to be installed and they didn't do either because they said they couldn't due to our gas cooker being right next to the washing machine. They then said they would refund us the £50 and they only gave us £25. We called up the online services, a lovely woman on the phone said that the delivery men claimed they took our old washing machine away so charged us for that when they didn't take it because they said they couldn't so they lied. When we explained all this to the woman, she kindly refunded us the whole £50. So if you ever pay for any installation or recycling online and they don't end up doing it, make sure you are refunded all of your money!

ordered hall runner, to be delivered by "their supplier" via DHL. Waited in, did not turn up and no card left. Checked website Argos states "delivered", but DHL states "returning to sender". Very difficult to get through to anyone, was told to contact via Facebook or Twitter - I am elderly and disabled and do not use either. Eventually told by customer services a refund would be made once supplier confirmed returned item, BUT I did not want a refund - I want the hall runner!! Have used Argos for many years and so very disappointing to find them gone downhill badly with no consideration for those of us who struggle. All trust in Argos has gone.

Appalling service. Spent £500 on jewellery which the Argos website said would be delivered in its own presentation gift box. Instead, it came in a plastic bag in a jiffy envelope. Customer services could not have been less helpful. Will never shop at Argos again.

Something is very wrong with your system I suggest you do an overall investigation meanwhile I'll shop elsewhere Marion ex customer

Wish I'd gone somewhere else. Bought headphones with 2 giftcards and topped up the rest with cash. Cancelled order as I got an email saying it could not be fulfilled (but order wasn't cancelled in the system for some reason, so I did it instead). One gift card and the cash was refunded, the other was not. When I asked why one gift card had been refunded but not the other they could not answer but told me I had to wait up to a week for the other to be refunded as it was 'standard proceedure' and it was not possible to do it quicker. I don't understand why one could be instant and the other take a week? And that it would not be at all possible to do it sooner. It's not like they're waiting on banks as it's an Argos issued gift card. It just seems like lazy customers service to me. As it stands I'm still one £50 gift card down and suspect ill be contacting them again in another 7 days until someone finally accepts it's a glitch. I could have bough this item at this price from a number of places so regret choosing Argos. I won't again.

They gave me an electronic gift card- £50- as a goodwill gesture for appalling service. Then two days later they took the money back- no communication nothing. I tried to complain through their chat function. However they do not do complaints- the customer is not involved . They only do internal reviews and no outcome or resolution is given to the customer.

I've had problems on numerous occasions with delivery in Argos, very frustrating. Last straw for me was placing an order in time for Xmas that never arrived, after a week of chasing it up. phone calls, live chat ect I was told it's still sat in the depot 😳 So I literally had nothing to give my mother Xmas morning. 9 days I've been waiting for my order and still nothing, no emails, no updates absolutely nothing. Anoid is an understatement, DO NOT use Argos for delivery their extremely unreliable. The service is shocking.

Ordered an Apple iPhone 14 pro max. Paid for on 19th December coming on 24th December to local Sainsbury’s. All well so far. On 22nd December text and email from Argos to say cancelled order. No explanation. This was a Christmas present. Tried to ring customer service, no joy, live chat no joy. Disgraceful Argos can just cancel without good reason after taking money. Shame on you for spoiling Christmas. I am contacting Which Legal for help with failing to supply goods when a contract was agreed.

DO NOT ORDER YOUR CHTRISTMAS GIFTS FROM ARGOS. THEY ARE UNABLE TO DELIVER THEM. I PLACED AN ORDER ON THE 18TH FOR DELIVERY ON THE 19TH DECEMBER, I HAVE STAYED IN ALL DAY AND THE ORDER HAS NOT ARRIVED. HAVING CALLED ARGOS THEY CANT CONFIRM WHY IT WASNT DELIVERED (BLAMED THE SNOW BUT THERE IS NONE AS IT ALL MELTED YESTERDAY, ITS 13 DEGREES OUTSIDE!) OR GUARANTEE WHEN IT WILL BE REDELIVERED. THEY THEN PLACED ME ON HOLD FOR 25 MINUTES WHILE THEY WENT TO FIND OUT BUT NEVER RETURNED AND JUST ENDED THE CALL. I DONT KNOW IF I WILL GET IT IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS AND HAVE PRECIOUS LTTLE TIME TO REORDER. THE SUPPORT STAFF MEMBER I SPOKE TO WAS EXTREMELY APATHETIC AND CLEARLY DID NOT CARE ABOUT ARGOS CUSTMERS AT ALL, OBVIOUSLY PLACED ME ON HOLD THEN HUNG UP ON ME INTNETIONALLY. FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE ALL ROUND. I WILL PAY £10 MORE AND ORDER FROM JOHN LEWIS NEXT TIME.

Worst experience I’ve ever had whilst ordering something, such a thieving company. Placed a £200 order for Christmas, it wasn’t delivered properly and the delivery man was caught on CCTV leaving my porch door wide open for anyone to steal my parcels which is what happened, once I contacted them, they completely wiped their hands with it and stole my money. I’m now having to dispute it with my bank which will take up to 18 weeks. Thanks to Argos and their refusal to help, and the terrible customer service my kids won’t be receiving Christmas gifts.
