As it was Black Friday I decided to purchase a few early Christmas present the main item being a Huawei MediaPad T5 10.1 Inch 64GB Wi-Fi Tablet for my son who is eight. Later that evening when I came to open the plastic Argos bags I was horrified to find that the Huawei MediaPad was in fact a second had unit, a return or had been on display at some point in its life before it was delivered to me. What made me so angry was who ever sent this item out for delivery thought it would be acceptable in the first instance, there was no cellophane, the box was dirty, and it looked like it had been purchased from eBay for £10. How could I possibly expect to give this item to my son as a Christmas present I was appalled at this level of service and will never use Argos or Sainsbury's again. Mike Coupe should be ashamed that his customers are treated this poorly

Faulty dishwasher which I've rejected as not fit for purpose sold. I've had for under 30 days and installed by a professional plumber. Didn't work, Argos will not respect my consumer rights so now have my mp, MEP, trading standards, BBC watchdog and rip off Britain involved. Meanwhile I have a non functional dishwasher in my small kitchen, useless and unable to fit a new one

Worst customer service ever tried returning a laptop purchased online to their local store. Sales assistant flat out refused stating they don’t have to accept a return, manager backed her up. I called their customer service and they said they should accept returns so long as original packaging and nothing installed, it was brand new it was just too small and slow for me. The rudeness of their Hamilton staff totally put me off and I think they fake positive reviews on items as the same laptop I bought had 3 stars now it has 5 with all reviews from the last 3 weeks very suspicious

If you want to be accused of lying because of under trained staff shop at Argos If you want an unprofessional patronising manager shop at Argos If you want mistake after mistake by staff shop at Argos If you want to run about and do undertrained staff’s job for them shop at Argos If you want your compliant ignored and swept under the carpet shop at Argos If not just use amazon , Argos join the stats why the high street is failing N.B Argos complaint number 16161971 is going unnoticed

Amazing value for toys esp 2 for discount price offer or 20% off. Plus fast track system a god send 1 negative is holding bk items on sales showing as out of stock then appearing min sale ends eg peppa pig house. However given how much i saved on other items ill let this go lol

Had a sofa from them 3mths later broke, said they would replace it. Then they said you ring the insurance company sort it out, I couldn't as argos collected the sofa in order to replace it. Then they said we will deliver you one.. After 3 days waiting they decided to give me refund which I'm waiting for. Strange thing is the sofa that was going to replace it they had in stock round the corner from where I live and deliver. 🤔

Bought a push chair which got delivered for my daughter . Not a cheap one either . She unwrapped it two weeks later to find one of the wheels were not sitting right . Thought I would do it online I won’t mention names . I was at work so didn’t have the order number . Gave me rubbish that he won’t be able to find it . Eventually said he could by mid name and address . Finally after 30 mins he sent a final message to say return it to the store for them to sort out , exact words . Phoned up as not happy about this spoke to someone else who said they can’t do anything without an order number and basically put the phone down . Phoned back again to put a complaint in spoke to someone who just asked for bane and postal code , found it and organised delivery and swap over . They will be loosing our custom now.

Reserved 3 items, got to the shop paid waited 35 minutes only for them to tell me they could only find 1, ended up with different colours not what I wanted, plus no where near enough staff.

I paid £12.95 for a home delivery of bedroom furniture to my new 3 storey townhouse. Delivery men didn't wipe their feet on entering my home and tracked mud all the way to the top of the house on my new carpets which had only been laid 3 days previously and damaged the walls which now look like they have been smeared with blood. Cost of cleaning the carpets was £135 and £20 for paint to repair the damaged walls. I sent Argos the 29 photos of the walk through that I did tracking the damage. After much chasing I have been offered £10 compensation so not even a full refund of the delivery charge!

I must praise the efficiency of the three men who delivered my freezer on Saturday 09/11/19 to Llangefni. Everything went perfectly, they were bang on time. I was called to ask for directions, as our house is a little hard to find, the amount of companies who do not call, is unbelievable. Full marks to them for that little 2 minute job, phoning, that actually gets the goods delivered 1st time around. This of course saves Argos and myself time and money in the long run five ***** stars, thank you.

Waiting in today for a recliner chair to be delivered and 8am a call to say it's not being delivered, no reason why, and maybe tomorrow... Not the first time had trouble with Argos, should have learned my lesson a few years ago when I had 2 bad recliners delivered, before a decent one arrived..1 was ripped 2 was wonky..I hope to get my money back and go elsewhere, trouble is I'm disabled and paid in cash, got to physically get there and hope they got money in the till (another Argos story)

Ordered a washing machine had to wait 10 days. On the day it was supposed to be delivered got an email saying sorry we ran out of time you can rebook and wait another 10 days. Called customer services they said there was nothing they could do. I wish I read these reviews prior to using Argos. Never Again poor service all round.

Love the ease argos have made ordering online and collecting in store hassle free,quick conformation,ease with just using a code you receive instead of providing id etc which annoys me at other stores.receight of purchase to your phone and the simple thankyou for your order which other companies over look and send you items you don't want to buy many thanks

Where do I start the orders where they took money and no order went through or the horrendous customer service. I ordered some toys as online was 20% off with toys20 code and I also was emailed a £5 off online voucher if soebd icer £40. I was unsure if would work together but thought would try. To my joy they did so got great bargain on couple of presents for my children. Payment went through but i dudnt recieve order number email or text and my account did not show order. I gave it 30 minutes incase delay. I checked bank and money was being held pending not once but twice!!!! After a long period of time of trying get through on telephone I finally got through to the worst representations I think I have ever encountered from any company I have ever dealt with. He told me was a ghost order so is not actually order as no order number sent. Asked why money taken then not once but twice? Had no reason just something which happens all companys. Said is likely after went through item was then out of stock . I said that is not true as items were still in stock I could place new order I'd wanted but only difference now is wont except both discounts. I said was more likely argos did want honour the discounts so didnt process. He suddenly very dumb said if were excepted be applicable asked him trace order said cant pressed well csn as will be bank transaction with my details etc..... then I was lied to told no way they can trace a payment . Told me ghost orders very common and nothing suspect and argos do no wrong. I suggested if case why with all millions this fixed on websites to not occur. I further asked as no order when my money returned as holding twice he replied not actually been debited only pending so be returned automatically in 48 hours. I asked if was true being a friday as weekend or would have be working days. No no be 48 hours there system automatically cancels it. Argued wrong should be instant take money no order went through I cant purchase toys I wanted as they took all my spare money ! Asked to have details of complaint department as I felt not good enough and if complained argos look into stopping this happening anyone else . He advised myself argos do not have anyone to complain to only him at customer service. No email no address. I told him that was ridiculous all companys have to have complaints department same as they have be accountable to some sort ombundsman? He repeated this was untrue and no complaints department or legal obligation to have one! After realising I had been speaking to a compulsive unhelpful liar I rang my bank. Who firstly confirmed yes funds pending i explained situation and they confirmed firstly that argos could find transactions and cancel with details . Lie number 1. Told me if has been cancelled automatically as he said that bank would pit money straight back in for me but advised in experience they not automatically cancelled and can take days. He said when cancelled takes 10 days to return. So 48 hours lie number 2. Bank checked transactions and had not been cancelled so they could not return funds for me incase I was lying and had actually recieved order number and goods. I do understand this. To further help me to get money back asap they said if I rang back argos and got them cancel their end and explained to me how they could with bank details authorized codes etc and is done when genuine mistakes happen then bank would honour and return money straight away and make me wait 10 days. I was concerned as being charged twice large orders with payments due leave bank I could become overdrawn. So more lies argos 3 that not automatically cancelled they will hold money ages. Friday afternoon I could not get back through argos to help. For reference my mother then ordered the toys perfectly fine using toys20 code but not with my other code. Confirming argos deliberately didnt prices order as were refusing honour discounts and the lie number 5 that was because was out of stock proven. This is disgusting horrendous underhand and how they don't help give you money bank and lie lie lie is disgusting sad as i will not shop with them again . When i had issue Anazon when item genuinely became outstock they reversed charges instantly. So no such thing as cant is clearly wont. Argis you deserve go under it's not so much the ghost order but the lies and not helping appalling customer service you will lose your customers. But you wont know will you as apparently noone can complain as no department for complaints in the company.
