I have several pairs of Ecco shoes which, although pricey, have been good quality & comfortable. I bought a pair of trainers which I had a problem with. I first visited the store where the staff member was extremely rude. I then contacted Customer Services and was stunned to find out they don’t have a complaints department & don’t respond to complaints, just refer it to their quality control- bearing in mind I was complaining both about the shoe & the way I was treated. I followed up & asked who would respond. Twice they have responded in an abrupt manner to say no action is required! I presume it’s automated. So no proper response in 4 weeks. ‘ Thank you for your message. Your feedback will be forwarded to our Quality Department. We do not have a complaint center and your feedback has been forwarded, therefore we have no actions to follow up. Wishing you a lovely day.’

This is the worst return process I have ever encountered. I returned a pair of shoes and they were received by ECCO on July 22. It is August 8th and I still have yet to receive a refund. I also had to pay for the return shipping myself. I was told I will need to wait for up to a month for returns to be processed. Worst return policy in the industry and I will never buy shoes from ECCO again.

I ordered two pairs of shoes as I was not sure which ones I wanted with the intent to return the other pair. I promptly returned the pair I did not want, and had to pay the shipping cost myself. The shoes were received by ECCO on July 22. It is August 8 and I still have not received a refund. There is no 800 number to speak to a live person, only a chat or e-mail option for customer service. I was told if a month goes by and I still don't receive a refund, to get back to them. This is an absolute joke. Asking people to wait a month for refund is unacceptable. I will never order shoes from ECCO again. Worst refund policy in the industry.

I'd give them 0 stars if it was possible! This is supposed to be a very reputable brand. I bought a pair for our upcoming vacation, and gave them a "test wear" at work, and BOTH heels came off and the soles cracked before I even had my lunch break!! THREE HOURS. I'm thoroughly disgusted with the quality. These are *by far* the worst shoes I've ever bought.

I always selected Ecco shoes for their quality, comfort and durability. No more. I paid over $200 for a pair of sandals that I wore sporadically for 2 months last summer. When I pulled them out for the season I noticed a large splitting the bottom sole. When I contacted customer service, after much back and forth, I was issued a $150 credit voucher which seemed reasonable. However, the credit could ONLY be used online. When I searched for replacements online there was nothing similar and I ended up selecting something that I didn’t even really like and ordered the exact size I always wear in Ecco shoes. I had to pay another $38 over the $150 credit. When they arrived not only were they at least one size too large but the quality was substandard. More like something you would find at a discount retailer. When I contacted Ecco and escalated my concerns I was told that I would have to pay to ship them back. All I wanted was to return them and get a 150 voucher that I could use in their store to buy something I like and that fit properly. I could not reach anyone by phone and was told they only communicate by email now. So I have donated the poor quality replacements and am out almost $250 for a pair of sandals that lasted about 2 months. No longer a fan will never buy Ecco again.

Dear Ecco: I have loved your shoes for over 15 years. HOWEVER I HAVE BEEN VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE QUALITY OF YOUR SHOES LATELY. I HAD PURCHASED 2 PAIRS OF HELSINKI SLIP ONS. THE SHOES HAVE STARTED TO DISINTEGRATE WHERE THE HEALS OF THE SHOES ARE BREAKING OFF. PLEASE ADVISE IF WHEN YOU IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF YOUR SHOES AS I REALLY ENJOYED WEARING YOU SHOES IN THE PAST.

Not the shoes of the past. : my 6 pair of ECCOS are amazing. The pair I recently ordered are no where near the same quality and comfort. Wht have ya’ll done to them. ????? Extremely disappointing.

What in the world happened to the quality of ECCO shoes? I bought a new pair and wore them for maybe two months before the sole started splitting apart from the polyurethane filling inside. This is very disappointing considering the amount of money I pay for these shoes. A company cannot save money by going to cheaper materials and suppliers. That is the best way to lose loyal customers.

Don't buy shoes in Ecco.com. Better to get them thru Amazon or another seller. There return process is ridiculous. 3 to 4 weeks to process a return.

I bought a pair of Ecco Sandals in late January I wore them on vacation twice once right away and again last week. The Velcro straps run so hard that the sandals are painful to wear. They give me terrible blisters as well. I called the store and talked to a very nice guy named Sam. He said he couldn’t do anything but don’t worry go through the website and they will help you. I followed his instructions and explained. I got an answer right away but said they couldn’t do anything. Very disappointing since I spent good money and cannot tolerate the foot pain. Never again!

I had mine just short of a year and they let in water ,then I noticed that the upper came away from the sole all around the inside. As my one year warranty was up I could not go back to store ,lovely comfort shoe but I will never buy again .

I agree with other reviews. Delivery was very slow, and in multiple packages. I drove 2 1/2 hours to a store to return the items rather than pay to return by mail. Will not order online again. Not a good experience at all.

I orderd two pairs of shoes and four week later, they still havent showed up in the tracking system. They are no longer responding to my inquiries. Do yourself a favour, do not order from their online store. You will only give yourself headaches. I wish I would have found this website before I ordered.

The process for ordering shoes on line is broken! I placed the order for sandals on the Ecco website. On 05/09 I received the mail with order confirmation and my credit card was charged on the same day. Then I heard nothing for two weeks so I sent email to the Ecco customers support department asking for updates. Apparently this is what happened: my order was sent to a store who processed it. Then my order was cancelled due to no inventory in this store. At this point I checked the website and saw the sandals of my choice still available. How was it possible? I was told that there was no inventory in the store that processed my order but other stores still had stock available. Bottom line - an unknown store is blamed for canceling my order (without informing me about it for 2 weeks). I say Ecco, and only Ecco, should be accountable as I ordered from the Ecco website, I received email from Ecco confirming the ordered, and was charged for the purchase by Ecco. Blaming an unknown store for this fiasco is ridiculous!

I've been an Ecco loyalist for the past 10-15 years, but the last few pairs I've purchased have been significantly lower quality. Poorer and poorer quality leather. The sole seems spongy and not like they used to be. Also, dealing with their customer service used to be great, but recently, they are very, very nasty and are more interested in sticking you with fees than standing behind the quality of their products. Very sad when a once great brand starts shooting their loyal customers in the foot (pun intended) with poor quality/service to save a few bucks.

I have recently purchased a pair of soft 7 women’s shoes. I have purchased at least 10 pairs of soft 7’s over the years. I have recommended them to many people. The latest pair are not the same quality! Hard leather…. sole is also very hard. What has happened to the quality.

I have been buying Ecco gore Tex golf shoes for the last 25 years and always have multiple pairs. Recently a pair I purchased in June of 2020 are now leaking. This is the first time this has ever happened. I contacted Ecco warranty and they said gore tex warranty is only good for one year but their website states: “ GORE-TEX guaranteed to be waterproof for the lifespan of the product “. THEY NOW REFUSE TO HONOR THIS even though the website explicitly states lifespan gore tex warranty. This is DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING. Foot-joy, Adidas, Skechers etc high end shoes have two year warranty and cost less. I am very disappointed that Ecco refuses to honor their “ printed “ warranty. They have lost a 25 year golf shoe customer and the warranty customer service at Ecco couldn’t care less.

ecco isn't the customer friendly retailer that i remember from years ago. There is no one to speak with now . I purchased several pairs of shoes at one time . After a year or two, the sole's rubber breaks down . I opened a brand new pair of leather slip-ons and after wearing them 2 times, the rubber soles fell apart . ecco wont discuss this manufacturing defect and wont exchange them for another pair . They have known for some time that there was a manufacturing defect, but will no longer make good on it . I will never buy their shoes again. Be prepared to experience the same problem . Ecco should tell everyone with their purchase that their shoes have a one year shelf life , just like a box of crackers . yes, i'm pretty angry about their dishonesty .

As other customers noted, I also had terrible issues with their on-line ordering/shipping and return processing. I am 100% not satisfied with their service. One of my packages arrived, one item was missing in the package. The other package had no packing insert. I returned 4 items out of 6 items I ordered. Refunds issued into my credit card incorrectly. A total amount of refund for 4 pairs of shoes was $337.05. I was charged for those shoes (excluding tax) with the amount of $409.99 I received a refund for the missing item after emailing and reporting the issue. A shippment of that missing item was arrived after a refund issued while their email said they cannot ship the missing item back. I paid $46.24 for shipping 2 boxes of returns to their return department. Never again. It was alot of headache, in the expense of their incompetency, say the least.
