“My good friend decided to get married in Thailand and invited me. I have never been to a wedding abroad, nor traveled anywhere outside of America other than Jamaica so i was overwhelmed and nervous because i didn't know how to go about this trip. She referred me to Exotic Voyages, a travel agency that organizes luxurious vacations. Exotic Voyages was amazing, very friendly, informative and took care of everything. I had some questions about the resort, Andy, who I worked with during my trip, knew it on the spot. I wanted to do excursions, he sent links of places nearby the resort, he even sent a step by step email on what to do once I landed in Bangkok and how to get to my resort, all I had to do was pay and show up. Went to Bangkok, stayed at the Intercontinental Bangkok, enjoyed my friends’ wedding, had an amazing time. It was the best vacation I ever had honestly and it has definitely encouraged me to travel more. I will be using Exotic Voyages from here on.”

“I'm used to using online booking programs, after a couple bad travel experiences followed by poor customer service, my wife and I chose to go with a travel agent on our next trip. After doing some research, we contacted Exotic Voyages for a trip to Sri Lanka. Ms. Linh from Exotic Voyages was great to work with from the start. She was friendly, organized and extremely knowledgeable about our options. More importantly, I had one person I could call if I needed anything and she was accessible! I didn't have to sit through a bunch of automated messages and ended up on hold for 30 min waiting to speak to an actual person. We had an awesome trip, stayed at an amazing places and I'll definitely use this company again.”

“It's very necessary for a holiday to begin on a pleasant note. That's exactly what happened when we booked our trip to Vietnam through Exotic Voyages. From the obvious services such as pick & drop to customized itineraries for everyone in the group (8 of us were travelling together) – Exotic Voyages team, especially our travel expert Nguyen Linh had every detailed taken care of. They are always available, full of energy and have a quick response in case you ask for anything specific. If you are travelling to Vietnam for the first time, don't even bother looking elsewhere. These guys are travel experts indeed who are extremely sensitive to the needs of any travelers -- solo, couple or in a group. Would be happy to recommend Exotic Voyages. Thanks for offering to help my sister and her husband with their itinerary next year”

“Exotic Voyages did an excellent job arranging everything from tour guides, to passes to locations to hotels to airfare. I contacted them many times with questions and they were always available and always helpful. Thanks to Exotic Voyages I could afford to take my kids on their dream trip to Japan. Will definitely book with them again. Would love it if they included Seoul, Korea in their destinations. I would be the first customer to purchase that! “Our 8 days in Thailand was wonderful. Our guide, Stephen, was the absolute best! We enjoyed learning from him and his great sense of humor. Our tour started Jan 2nd. We had a wonderful time and met some wonderful people. Everything was totally organized and professional. The choices of places to see are all really great. We loved the beach and old city. We were able to move our return date out so that we spent the entire month of January in Thailand. We were charged a very nominal fee to do this. The rest of our time was great. I highly recommend Exotic Voyages and a trip to Thailand! I'm already planning my next trip!”

“We have just returned from a 12 days trip to Vietnam planned by Exotic Voyages. The itinerary was well planned, we had a very enjoyable trip and learnt a lot about the country and its people. Ha Long Bay was beautiful, and the boat, crew and food were amazing. Truly exceeded my expectations. I also wanted to say that Tony was an extraordinary guide. Not only did I learn so much, but once he knew my interests (photography, going to Ha Giang), he made sure to point out things that applied; whether it was a beautiful spot for a photo, or pointing out the exhibits of the specific ethnic groups I would see in Ha Giang when we were at the Ethnography museum. He's the best guide I've ever had, and made my trip better as a result. I couldn't be happier and will definitely recommend Exotic Voyages in the future. In fact, I'm going to convince my mother to come next time, and would feel confident that EV would be the perfect company for her standards.”

“Organized a bespoke 18 day trip around Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam through Exotic Voyages and found them very easy to deal with and helpful, both in creating and executing the itinerary. Everything went according to plan and all of their local staff were really friendly and helpful as well. I would definitely recommend using Exotic Voyages for your SEA trip. Really nice to not have to worry about any of the trip arrangements!”

“I used to plan my tour by myself. However, for Myanmar after some initial research, I decided to use travel agent. Then I contacted some travel agents that are recommended in the Myanmar forum, including Exotic Voyages. The first email reply was from Exotic Voyages - Ms Linh, which is a good sign. I bombarded her with many questions and she responded very quickly. She was very helpful adapting my own plan and happy to make any changes that fit my family requirements. Although package cost was almost the same as other Tour Companies, I chose to go with Exotic Voyages. The trip went like a clockwork, from pickup, transfer to all the tour activities. We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel standard in Myanmar, much better than what we thought. Also some booked activities were canceled due to weather and we were refunded for those, which I appreciated. I definitely will work with Exotic Voyages for our next trip to SEA and recommend them to all our family and friends.”

“You have been very responsive to our meal improvement request during the trip. You need to consider that people from different countries may not be very used to Sri Lankan food. Also it's best not to plan to eat in the same restaurant for continuous 2 - 3 meals. Appreciate your kind effort.”

“I write this review the morning after returning from a fantastic and highly memorable 12 day / 11 night trip to Vietnam and Cambodia planned and supported by Exotic Voyages. I was incredibly impressed by this company. I would use them again, and plan to recommend them to all of my friends and family. So what made the experience great? Let me count the ways... 1. Trip Planning & Communication: I was matched with a travel planner named Andy, a British ex-pat who has been living in Vietnam for over 10 years. He was a fabulous travel consultant, and spent considerable time helping me fine tune my itinerary (over the course of 4-5 weeks) before I ever made a down payment. Even after I placed my deposit, he continued to be prompt and helpful with the various follow-up questions that I peppered him with in the months leading up to the trip. A few weeks before departure, he sent over Exotic Voyage's Country Guides for Vietnam and Cambodia, which were extremely helpful in setting our expectations for things like cultural no-no's, tipping norms, how to avoid gastro/intestinal issues, etc. This trip was a birthday gift for my wife, and Andy was instrumental in helping me set up some "Easter Egg" surprises along the way, such as a romantic candle light dinner upon arrival to our hotel on the day of my wife's birthday. The staff at the hotel knew it was her birthday and greeted us with a dessert and song, followed by a complimentary upgrade to the royal suite. After we freshened up in the room, we walked back to the beautiful infinity pool where they staff had rapidly set up a romantic candle night table for us to enjoy a fantastic dinner. I could never have coordinated this without Andy's help! 2. Travel Logistics: Exotic Voyages was completely on-top of managing all logistics for our trip. We arrived in Hanoi and within 3 minutes of disembarking found someone holding a sign with our names to assist with our entry visas. From there, we met our local guide and driver, and traveled in a nice Toyota SUV to our hotel. As we moved around the country, we always had high quality drivers, vehicles, and guides (more on the guides below) who were always on time and made is feel completely safe. We had 3 domestic flights during our trip, and in 2 cases our flights were delayed 24 hrs before we left for the airport. Exotic Voyages monitored out flights, identified the delays, and worked with our guides to ensure we would get to the airport at the right time for drop-off / pick-up. Whenever possible, our guides would walk us into the airport an assist with ticketing and to ensure we were all set. It was always easy to find our guides at the airport, as they had custom signs with Exotic Voyage's branding on them. 3. Local Guides: One of the most important elements of your trip is the quality of the local guides you are matched with. You spend anywhere from 5-10 hours a day with your guides, and in our case had several 3+ hour car rides together. If you don't have awesome guides, you will feel it. We did not have that problem. We shook hands with our guides when we met them, and by the time we left them were giving them hugs. They truly became friends AND guides during our short time together. I can't stress enough how impressed we were by these guides (shout outs to Thanh, Sarah, and Ran!). Exotic Voyages proved to me they have the ability to consistently deliver exceptionally good guides. I can emphasize the importance of this enough. 4. Experiences: All of the activities Exotic Voyages recommended were great, and a handful were truly exceptional. I'll discuss these more below, but there were 3-4 activities that EV booked for us where we were the only westerners / tourists around. As SE Asia becomes more saturated with visitors, I believe it's critical to work with a travel company that can help you still find those magical experiences away from the crowd. EV totally delivered here, and we would never have been able to find or plan these activities without them. As noted above, there were 3 special activities that EV helped to coordinate that really made an impression on my wife and I. 1) In the city of Hue, after visiting the ancient capital of the Nguyen dynasty, we drove through windy, narrow streets to the house of an ancient Mandarin (member of the royal court). We met the owner of the home, whose great grandfather had been a Mandarin, and he gave us a tour of the grounds (which featured multiple open-air buildings) and told us about how each was deliberately designed according to Fung Shui principles. Then, we had a private lunch in the guest house with delicious food and selection of beer and BOTTLES of wine of our choice, all already paid for by our Exotic Voyages package. 2) In Siem Reap, Cambodia, after visiting Angkor Wat and surrounding temples, we drove about 20 minutes into the country where we went down a very long, very bumpy dirt road (our driver actually missed it the first time) until we reached a hidden Buddhist temple. We had an amazing foot massage and delicious picnic lunch in the shade of tall trees outside the temple, which we then explored after lunch. There weren't any other tourists around for miles. Truly a magical and memorable experience. One of my lasting memories will be lying on the picnic blanket looking up into the trees and listening to them rustle in the wind with complete quiet all around. 3) Also in Siem Reap, we ventured deep into the country side by boat to visit a bird sanctuary. We passed through a floating village, which is home to some of Cambodia's poorest (and friendliest) residents, and changed from our transit boat to a tiny fishing boat with local villager guides (our main guide stayed with us as well). We then ventured deep into the bird sanctuary, where we saw thousands of sea birds including pelicans, storks, herons, and many other varieties I can't name. As we rode through the marsh, our boat would send birds into flight from the surrounding reeds and we saw huge flocks take flight. In the middle of the marsh, we disembarked to climb a bamboo-and-rope ladder / staircase built by the villagers to reach a small platform at the top of a large tree (harrowing, but fun for us). Once on top of the tree, we were treated to beautiful 360 views of the sanctuary, along with a telescope to view the bird's breeding grounds. As we headed back to town, we saw hundreds of birds swirling around thermal air columns, at one point passing right over our heads.”

“Our trip was absolutely amazing. One of the best vacations I have ever been on. Andy with exotic voyages did such a great job in helping us plan our trip. He was very attentive throughout the entire process and responded to all of our inquiries promptly. All of our accommodations were phenomenal and all of the tours he suggested were on point. He gave us tips on restaurants and bars near our hotels, and he answered questions we had even during our trip. He even made his best efforts to change the dates of our trip given a last minute change in plans. I will use Exotic Voyages for all future vacations and will recommend them to all of my friends and family.”

“My husband and I didn't know very much about Thailand going into our honeymoon, so we relied heavily on the experts at Exotic Voyages to answer our questions, and craft our honeymoon itinerary. We were so impressed with the professionalism, quick replies, and how well they captured what we wanted to do and create our dream trip! Every hotel, pickup, and flight went so smoothly we didn't need to worry about a thing. It was a wonderful mix of adventure and luxury and we hope to go back very soon! Exotic Voyages was definitely the way to go!”
