Sent my phone off in the sales postage pack I had sent out to me. Receipt of the phone was acknowledged & now payment is being refused. Handtec are claiming a mix up with some orders and are not moving on this whatsoever. Poor e-mail etiquette to compound things... Very poor experience indeed, use another company!

Got an initial quote of £330 pound for my device . Sent the item and they are now telling me it is network locked even though I have personally used different sim cards without any issues in the device and state because of this they could only offer me £100 . I now have to pay them £30 for admin to get my own phone back again. Avoid at all costs

AVOID AS A SELLEE AT ALL COSTS! Got a quote of £166 for my iPhone 7 Plus. It was in perfect condition having been in a case with screen protector from Day 1. On receipt they claimed it had ‘small chips’ to the casing and the battery needed replacing. They dropped the quote to £140. I asked for photos of the damage. Next thing, they pay the original £166. Scammers!

Sent them my phone, was offered £90, then they alleged it arrived to them with cracks on the screen, dents to the shell, and battery not performing at 100%. Bunch of wankers. If you read the other reviews it seems they use the exact same excuse for reasoning to not offer you the original amount. Refuse to sent me photos of this alleged condition my phone is in, which only makes me more certain they are lying and trying to pull a fast one. Avoid at all costs.

Avoid this company for selling your phone. They gave a competitive price, took my phone in, made up that it needed a new screen due to screen burn. Revised price was £90 lower. They charge £30 to send the phone back. They are essentially running a scam. Do not use.

I went on a compare website and found that Handtec had good reviews and quoted the best price for my phone (iPhone XR). They offered same day payment. My phone was in immaculate condition, it was 5 months old and had been in a case with a screen protector from day one, so I had no worries about the company not paying the price offered. Big mistake! I had an email from the company at 11.20am (Thurs) to say that they had received the phone and I had to wait until the next day (Fri) to hear from them again (26 hours). They said it was not in the condition that I had stated and it was full of scratches and chips, which is a totally unbelievable lie! I was offered £60 less than the original offer. I argued the point that it was in "mint" condition and they slightly upped the offer. I felt that I had to accept this offer, because if I refused and asked for it to be returned, I reckon it would have been returned "damaged". This is a warning to all potential sellers not to use this rogue company. I am totally disgusted. I have used O2, EE and Mazuma and never had this trouble before. By the way, I received payment today (Tues), which is 5 days after the company received my phone, (they advertise same day payment)! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Avoid this company at all costs!Offered me the best price of £110 for IPhone 7 but a few days later they emailed me with engineers report stating issues with battery, chips on screen and marks to housing despite the phone being in good condition! They offered me a revised price of £80 and if I wanted the phone returning it would cost me £30!I reluctantly accepted their derisory offer and have put the experience down to a lesson learned and will never use the company again! You have been warned!

As many other reviewers avoid for selling your device. I found Handtec on a recycling compare site, everything looked good, it was showing 4.5stars, 24 hour turn around and the highest price (not by much I add). Prior to sending my package I had it evaulated by CEX and they gave me a report to say it was grade A but thier price was lower (being a highstreet brand). They fully tested and ispected my device and found no issues. I selected Good condition with Handtec and was offered £260, I sent the device on Tuesday (before last post) and it was Friday before I received an email to state teh below made up issues:- Other: screen burn scratches on the back chip marks on the housing They offered only £100 for the device, I replied straight away on Friday and I told them to return the device, then on Monday morning they offered £140, even though they had already listed my exact phone on thier sale site as good coniditon at over £340 (Screen shots saved ;)). I accepted (in the morning) because I felt like they could damage my device and I desperately needed the funds for Christmas, but yet despite ripping me off I still had to wait another day for the money. I have complied all of these details and I am considering taking this to trading standards. This clearly is an operation that depsite it being 'legal' clearly isnt ethical. I guesse they didnt bank on someone having a 3rd party report of the device the same day it was sent to them.

Awful company to deal with, sent them last week a brand new sealed iphone 11 pro max, with accessories which they made excuse they could not buy it for the price they originally agree, then offered me a insulting price, I then had to pay £30 to get my phone back, which that's all I recieved a phone, no box, charger etc, I have asked for them back and apparently they throw all these away!! I now have a phone I have to go and buy to use it, they have awful customer service, wished I never used them!!!

Got a quote of £212 as long as my mobile met with their requirements , so I sent my mobile confident my mobile would pass their requirements , first of they had my mobile 5 days , then I get email stating various problems with my mobile so the quote was now £90 absolutely disgraceful this mobile is selling on average between £270-£340 unlocked in good condition which mines was they said various problems like chip on the outside housing of my mobile plus other problems all of which is new to me , all that was on my mobile was couple of very faint scratches on the screen difficult to see especially once the mobile was switched on was more visible when it was of and had a black screen , I have requested my mobile be sent straight back so I can view what they say is wrong with it , I could have sold my mobile by now at around £200 , if I thought for one minute my mobile would not have passed their tests I would not have wasted my time sending it, to get a offer of £90 is laughable , first time I have used these sites to buy any of my mobile phones will be the last , my daughter sent her mobile phone to one of these sites that buy mobiles phones not this site another totally different site anyway apparently they never received her mobile so shes raised a dispute to try find out what happened to it , my advice for anyone looking to sell their mobile do it privately first of you will get much more money plus no worries of it going missing and untold damage done to it in transit.

Do not use this company. Avoid them at all costs! My mum has returned a phone to them in excellent condition i.e no cracks on the screen or scratches. They offered £80, and now they acting fishy... they have offered her £2 as it’s turned up with a cracked screen. They haven’t provided photos or anything and she has proof

Sent my immaculate iPhone 8 for £278.00 on receipt was told it had a crack and scratches I was then offered £170.00 which I challenged and said I had photographic evidence that the phone was immaculate, they said there was a very small crack that could only be seen under a bright light I was then offered £220.00 being that I couldn’t be bothered to argue due to being busy I accepted their offer, I will never use them again and would advise anybody reading this review to avoid them like the plague.

I am not sure I trust the reviews on this site - they feel way to bias on the negative. I read them before I ordered from Handtec, and it nearly put me off them, but other review sites are more balanced. Overall, great service. Took a day for them to contact me once I ordered but after that perfect :)

Send my Huawei P20 Pro off 2 weeks ago, they confirmed they received the phone. After a week no communication so I called them. Offered £40 less 'due to scratches on screen' this is a lie and I have taken photos of my phone to prove this. I have always had a cased and screen protector on. After declining managed to get the offer up. They will say something is wrong with the phone or damage to get the price cheaper. Beware this is the second phone recycling company to do this to me.

Made a offer of 340 for my phone which was stated as ee network. They received my phone and tell me we carnt unblock this phone yet because it's an ee network we will offer you 100 or send you the phone back for a 30 pound charge ? So I had to pay 30 pounds for the privilege of this company wasting my time .
