More fool me for not reading these before I sent off my phone. I sent off my perfect conditioned IPhone 7 plus, they have quoted me £140.50, which I thought was amazing. I sent it off 2 days ago and just had an email quoted it was blacklisted. This is not at all correct because my mum brought it refurbished off giffgaff, which obviously they would have picked up before selling the phone again anyway, plus I owned the phone for 3/4 years. I have just sent another email saying it is not possible it is blacklisted, but from the rest of these reviews, I will be requesting MY phone back or I will be taking it higher up.

As per a lot of the comments here, I was offered a decent price for my Iphone 8, but when their 'engineers' looked at it it had lots on apparent 'issues' - so offered half the original offer price. Luckily I remember to take photos of the phone before i sent it off and have asked for them to return it. Their comments were obviously scripted in advance as they were clearly madeup. AVOID.

DONT FALL FOR HIGH QUOTES !! What a dreadful company ; they offer you very good money for phones etc but then come up with stupid unfounded reasons to lower the price. I had an Iphone 7 which which was in excellent condition and full working order and they offered me the same money that I was given by another company for the same model specs but smashed screen and not working. You complain and they will increase it slightly but no where near the original quote. Getting my phone returned and will sell to a more honest company. Don`t take it from me just read the other reviews here - PLEASE AVOID AND DO NOT USE

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I just wish I had read honest reviews before sending my iPad to them thinking I was going to get a fair price, then I got an email saying, following their “engineer report” they are dropping the quote by £100 due to the iPad being a different model?? also that it had damage to the screen and casing. My iPad was in excellent condition, I even sent it in the original box, complete with the charger. I declined the lower offer, and asked for photos of the damage to be sent, I never got these, they then offered a higher price following another “engineers report” I asked for it to be returned, as at that point it stopped being about the money and everything about the principal. It arrived quickly however, was grubby with stickers all over it, without the box and charger, but no damage at all. After several emails asking for the box and charger to be returned I was told they can keep them as per their T&Cs. This company is breaking consumer law, by lowering the original quotes substantially giving dishonest reasons for their own monetary gain. Trading standards are now looking into my case. They should not be allowed to get away with this sort of thing. Can they actually keep my charger and original box against my wishes, when I clearly stated I wanted everything back just as it was sent to them? It’s my property after all!!

If you contact them about their returns policy for their "12 Month Premium Warranty". After 30 days you must pay the postage, even if the product is faulty. If you contact them, they are clearly aware this is in breach of Consumer Rights Act 2015 - but they respond with "this is our own policy and this is how it is sorry". Pay by credit card or Paypal so you can get charge back if/when you have issues.

They are criminal, and I will take them to court. I sent my phone, in original box, with less one week of use, they offered half price that was in website, I asked to sent my phone back, and then I received a used completely different phone...

Avoid at all costs. Wish I had seen these reviews before I sent my phone in. Sent a P20 pro, near pristine condition. £120 offered on comparison site. After an "engineer" report, I was offered £60 due to supposed screen burn and damage, engineer obviously needs their eyes checked. Queried the price to which they offered me £120 (screen burn and scratches mysteriously vanished). I accepted this offer but then had an email saying that it was a mistake as it now had screen burn again. Thankfully I had the phone back in the same condition I sent it.

AVOID - con artists Unfortunately I was also taken in by a high offer price on a comparison website & seemingly good reviews on trust pilot. I sent in an iPhone X 256gb in excellent condition no marks or scratches. Once received they contacted to say there were issues & offered me a much lower price. I declined & asked that the phone be returned, they came back with a higher offer, I declined again & asked that the phone be returned to me & advised that they send the correct phone back to me I still had the IMEI number & serial number & had taken multiple photos from all angles so would be fully aware of they did not return the correct phone. They came back with another offer to be honest at this point they could have offered me £1000 & I wouldn’t have taken it as they are clearly not to be trusted. I declined again & asked that they return my phone & reminded them once again to make sure it was the correct handset as I have the IMEI number, the serial number & multiple photos. They confirmed they were returning it to me. Today I received a phone in the post NOT my phone, I have received an iPhone X 64gb with a very visible scratch on it. I dread to think how many people have been taken in by this company but I will not be one of them. I have reported them to trading standards & will take them to small claims court if I have to.

Same as all of the others unfortunately. I saw the very high reviews on Google but those are only for phone sales, not you selling phones to them. They offered me £236 for my Galaxy Note 9 and when they received it they revised the offer to £100 saying the screen was very scratched and there was screen burn. this was completely untrue. Use Music Magipie because they gave me £200 with no issues - beacuse there were no scratches on the screen and no screen burn. I've used them for years and never had any problems. I have reported them to Trading Standards through the Citizens Advice Bureau, if you are reading this and it's happened to you then please do the same. I am also seeing if I can put a complaint in with TrustPilot as clearly the experience on the reviews page is not reflected in their very different high reviews advertised on their website.

Total jokers. Was offered £130 for my iPhone 7 128gb. Sent the phone to them and the offer was reduced to £40 after “faults” were found in a near perfect condition phone. I cannot help feel that this is some sort of fraudulent business whose business model is to prey on unsuspecting consumers. Finally got my phone back and sold to a reputable firm who paid in full the same day the phone was received. Avoid Handtec at all costs...unless you like being ripped off I suppose.

Offered me 50% of the original value when they received the phone. Good quality phone, no real imperfections when sent but guess what... they 'found' some. Be warned people, sell your old device elsewhere, not worth the hassle!

I cant lie I had already sent my phone off before reading all of the reviews of this company. I sent my phone of last week in perfect condition no issue with the phone at all! it was the iPhone xs max the company had quoted me £415.38 pounds . I received a email Monday just gone stating my phone had been received I then contacted then today as I was scared of what I had read. I simply said what's the status on my phone etc they got back to me ASAP they then offered me £400 and knocked off £15.38 as they stated they found scratches on the phone I don't see how as I had a double screen protector on the front and back and the phone had ben in a sturdy 360 hybrid case less then 6 months , however I just accepted the offer as everywhere else were offering £350 or lower , over all I had a good experience with them luckily

Sent my handset in at an agreed sale price. I was then informed the offer would be significantly less due to it needing repairs! The phone was in pristine condition, no repairs required! so I asked for it to be returned. I was then offered a higher price but not nearly enough. The handset has now arrived back with me and has 2 very noticeable scratches on the screen. Not happy is an understatement.

I sent my boxed Apple watch Series 4 with all accessories to Handtec and when they got it they reduced the offer from £150 to £80. When I declined the offer and asked for it to be returned I literally got the watch in a plastic bag. No box, no cable, no charger. Customer service refused to help me. Do not sell to these people, there are much better alternatives out there.
