“Unhelpful, shockingly disappointing , customer service nonexistent!
I need to find out how many grams of protein are in individual tablets of Amino 1000.
So far it’s 5 weeks! I still don’t have the answer!
Time wasted on phone calls…emails! Unbelievable!”
“I've been a long standing customer so quite disappointed in their refund process for a faulty product bought on-line recently. They are dragging this out unnecessarily by asking for more information and finally a photo of the item. If this is so vital they should have requested this in the first place and save my time and theirs, and avoid annoying their customers.”
“Charged me £5.50 for an online item which they failed to deliver, then refunded me only £2.75. No reply to my email to customer service (other than the automated acknowledgement). For £2.75, I can't be bothered to pursue any further, just thought I'd put in a review to blow off steam. Won't be using them again.”
“So went on like to look for a product and what store is available near me,the product in question stated available in a store 20 min drive from my house.So i drove all the way to the store to be told is a site error product not available but they can order it for next day delivery to another store nearer to my house.Payed for the product to drive the next day to the other store to be told my order not there and to wait for a confirmation email. Waited for 5 days then called costumer service to be told that my product not even in the depo and they are sorry and they will send it to my house soon as available,plus a 25 percent discount for the enconveinience. Week later called costumer service to be told my order has been cancelled,no email with a confirmation of this cancellation,so as far as I'm concerned I've been mislead ,payed for a product advertised as available to then not recive what I've payed for (false advertising,and theft)Costumer service said i now need to go back to the store for a refund and a 10 pound voucher for the enconveinience. 4 hours out my life now gone 30 pounds driving up and down the road .Financial ombudsman are willing to take my complaint and im also looking to get a solicitor,is not about the sum of money is the principle of these cooperation committing fraud and think they can get away with anything. If I went in store and took a product and told them ill send them a email with the date ill send them the money for it I would be in prison for theft .Wish me luck”
“Placed an order which got lost so missed Christmas. They re-ordered it for me and sent it out express. It also got lost. Spent a lot of time Chatting with their service dept who were unable to find either order. I'm sure they cant be this bad with all orders, but so many e-mail's with false promises forced me to get a refund. Awful experience.”

I ordered via the ie site for delivery to France. Clearly, this should not be a service H&B offer as they have been unable to deliver my order. Part of it arrived, all of the contents were crushed to pieces, so instead of rice cake crisps I have received a selection of fine powders in a bag, covered in the moisturiser they were unable to correctly transport too. Sadly around 80% of my order never arrived. I ordered on the 24th of October, still no sign of it, no communication from Holland and Barrett despite raising numerous support tickets and my account says it is pending, DHL say it is returned to sender. The whole thing is a mess and I am nearly 200 euro out of pocket and a month later. Avoid ordering online from these guys.”

I have rung the customer service number and they will not cancel my order so I emailed to cancel my order and asked them to please confirm that this order is cancelled and my money is reimbursed.
The email from them says that they are getting ready to dispatch the order.
I had to ring customer service twice the first time I got cut off?
the second time I was told they cant cancel my order?”
“I question the quality of the vitamins. A nutrition and wellness shop owner once told me that UK vitamins are not always the strength stated. H&B is now a chain operation so... I used their liquid D for a while and began having what appeared to be
D deficiency symptoms. Then I used a high quality brand of D and immediately felt better. Coincidence, not sure.”

On chat,I was told stock refreshes every ten days,didn't I realise!

“For many years I thought that H&B was not a proper supplements shop and didn't use it but I checked it out when a shop opened v near me about 5 years ago and was impressed by their quality and range. I've used them regularly ever since for various supplements, especially faves like vit c powder, quercitin and zinc. I also buy most of my skincare and haircare things from them. Their website deals are great and delivery v reliable but I also just like wandering around their shop looking at the new things they've got in, they really do seem to be on it these days. So have gone from a healthfood shop snob to a bit of a convert!”

“I had a subscribe and save subscription showing 9 orders between £40.00-£50.00. The 5th is supposed to be free as advertised on their website. On 3 occasions their online system was unable to take my money so that I called in and paid directly (with the same card) for my orders. After being cut off then having a long conversation with Sue today they refused to honour their obligation and stated that as 3 orders had not gone through the subscribe and save online system I was not due the free order when in fact I should have had 2 free orders by now! Sue was unable to put me through to a supervisor although she told me my case ref: 3087835. This is a disgrace, I have been a long and loyal customer - I have now cancelled my subscribe and save ongoing order and will find alternative products elsewhere and I suggest all readers to the same.”
“I visited the Chichester branch of Holland and Barrett I have never come across such rude staff, particularly the young girl on the till, no good morning, no please or thank you, how do these people get jobs serving the public, they are obviously very badly trained if at all. My visit was 12/1/22.”
