Wizzair partnercégüktől, a Rental carstól béreltünk egy autót Kos szigetére, augusztusban 1 hetes időszakra, ám nem tudtuk átvenni amikor leszálltunk a gépről, mert csak másik névre szóló bankkártyánk volt nálunk és hiába ki volt fizetve a teljes összeg, 120 ezer ft., nem kaptuk meg az autót. Az ügyintéző nem módosította a szerződést, másnapra ígérte, hogy visszakapjuk a pénzünket. A Rental carstól többszöri telefonhívásra, e-mailezésre sem kaptam vissza azóta sem a pénzt és nem tudtak érdemben tájékoztatni ennek menetéről. Ilyen könnyen is lehet pénzt szerezni, 1 fillért sem adtak vissza.

I rented a car through them and was unable to get a car from the rental dealer they had booked through, as I had accidentally booked a manual and I needed an automatic. The rental dealer (Avis) offered me a full refund. They told me to reach out to the third party (rentalcars.com). They explained to me that rentalcars.com would reach out to them and they would confirm refund. I was promised by Avis 100% refund, otherwise I would have never left that building without a vehicle. I would have retaught myself how to drive a manual (drove in high school but hadn’t driven in a while) before I would have let $1300 go down the drain. So I reach out to rentalcars.com and they refused to give me a refund. A refund that was promised to me by Avis. I have learned my lesson… I will NEVER NEVER EVER book through rentalcars.com again and you shouldn’t either.

I made a mistake with my booking and called within 10 minutes. Told them I don’t have a credit card and that I needed a car from another location. The agent asked me to cancel and make a new booking asI had opted for full insurance.She promised a full refund process was initiated. I made the new booking only to realise that we couldn’t get the car with a debit card. Booking 1:£153 Booking 2:£165. No car. No refund and agents now say I cannot get a refund and their agents refuse to check call records.

Rentscars.com are a total scam organisation. If you have 12noon as pick up time and you arrive later they will cancel Your booking and charge you the full amount. Total bunch of scum bags and robbery without a mask. They are part of Priceline and that speaks volumes. Venture Capital grubs will Get what they deserve down the track.

I would put zero star if I could. This is basically a SCAM. Avoid at all costs. I was charged €213 at the counter in malaga for using a debit card even though 1/ I was never sent the terms and conditions that stipulate this 2/ when I saw their terms and conditions, it says 'If you have taken Super Cover, you can use a debit card' which is VERY different than to say 'If you use a debit card you will be charged the super cover' 3/ I complained to rental cars who said they couldn't do anything about that insurance because if was a different company they contracted in Spain (FireFly) and when I complained to FireFly they said it was rental cars fault for not sending me the terms and conditions. Both companies are very dishonest and misleading so I would AVOID RENTALCARS AND FIREFLY AT ALL COSTS.

Scam with compensation I booked a car and payed in advance, and when I came to rental car office the agent refused to issue the car to me because I didn't have international driving licence and he also told me to contact Rentalcars.com by email to ask for full compensation which I did. However, I got into multiple days chain email exchange with different people working for Rentalcar.com, who are always referencing the terms and conditions, without even trying to see that there was a mistake in their personnel procedures, which has led me to lose all my rights to reclaim. This is clearly a SCAM and this company robbed me. I strongly advice anyone to avoid this company, as they have horrible treatment of customers.

I booked a car and cancelled within 12 hours and was told i was not entitled to ay refund because i needed to cancel before 48hrs, this math does not add up, how can this cancellation policy apply in this situation. Customer service could care less. I was unable to fly through no fault of my own and awaiting new air tickets. My entire plans have changed and they are unwilling to assist. Worst customer service ever and down right thieves!!!!

Flight delayed 5x. Show up for rental and they gave the car away. No other cars available on the island. They refuse to refund us or find me a car. I’m fighting them through my CC. Just got their email saying I canceled the car and they are keeping my full $650 amount. I never canceled. I wanted my car. Total scam. I ended up taking taxis and busses costing me an additional $500. I paid for the car. There should be a car . If not refund me. I will never use a middle man service again after this experience. Rental cars.com are thieves

do not use this company at all. the company that they send us to rent a car were not able to give us a car, and the only way to communicate with rentalcar.com is through emails. they gave us as many excuse that they could not to give our money back. be aware, don't rent cars from them.

Do not use this company. My flight was cancelled, so I was a day late picking up the booked vehicle and charged 4 times the price by the hire company Budget rentals. Despite contacting Rentalcars.com and Budget to advise them of my flight cancellation ( and they had flight number) they saw an opportunity to fleece a customer who was in a vulnerable situation. Disgraceful behaviour and it took them 3 months to give me their response. I would strongly advise to avoid this company at all costs.

We ordered a car from Rentalcars.com. The vehicle was supposed to be collected at the airport in Zagreb on July 26 at 16.00, for 10 days. Unfortunately our flight was delayed and we arrived at the airport at 23.30, a family with 3 exhausted children. Your representative was no longer available and we understood that he would only arrive the next day. We tried to call representative of Renaltalcars.com without success. You can imagine the experience... Only the next day we were able to get hold of the Rentalcars.com representative, only to find out that the vehicle is no longer at our disposal and that they are charging us the full amount for 10 days of rental. According to the agreement with them they can indeed do so. Attempts to explain the predicament we were in did not help. The company representatives repeatedly quote the contract and are not ready to accept the fact that we tried to reach them, that the delay was not our fault and that there is no justification for charging the 10 days of rental, when the vehicle was discussed for another use

DO NOT USE THEM! I have rented cars for 30 yrs+ and I never had a problem. We rented a car with them with pick up in Nice airport and our flight was delayed (not by much only 1 hr and 30 min). I tried to call rentalcars and the number was not working as it was Saturday, there was a message and then it would disconnect. I then emailed the car rental directly and they told me they would be closed after 23.30 and to just ask rentalcars to change the voucher so that we could collect the car the day after. The day after we were able to finally find a working number for rentalcars only to be told that on the contract if we don't show up then we lose the money??? They refused to change the voucher. I paid nearly £700 that they kept and I had to go back to the car rental and pay another £510.95. Let alone that we were stranded in Nice and had to go back twice to the airport that was 1hr and 20mins away from the resort. No easy way to contact them once back only through forms and when customer service replied insisting that we are not getting the money back there is no way to reply to them. DISGUSTING behavior, please AVOID it ruined our holiday and now we are out of pocket. I would give zero stars if I could.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY I read the reviews and decided to use this company to rent a larger vehicle. I needed to transport a facility dog for the children’s hospital I work for in South Florida. Our new team member was in training in Georgia, and I thought a small SUV would be more comfortable for her on the 8-hour trip to her new home. When I arrived at the airport to pick up my rental I was asked where I was going and when I said Georgia, I was told that I could not take the car out of state. OK, no problem. Please refund my money as you have to pre-pay, and I will use another rental agency. Problem #1 – The contracted company at the airport has no means to give a refund and gave me 2 phone numbers to call Problem #2 – Nobody that answers the phone can do anything to help. I was even told “this is a loss for you”. They were rude and argumentative. Perhaps they have done this to other people so they have experience. So, I was charged the moment I booked, did not receive the vehicle and then a refund was refused. Sound like a customer serviced focused company to you?? I finally got someone to respond to an email and was asked for additional information. That was 2 days ago and no response. I recommend that you use a reputable company when you need to rent a car or risk getting taken for a ride!!

Worst customer service..! Worst customer service. Offer to cancel the booking for free, but once I did try to do this due to getting the exact same car with the same provider Alamo cheaper on holidayautos.com, they refused to cancel and said they will price match. Provided all the details and they didn't respond for 3 days. From the destination I had to call them and they said they price checked now and it's more expensive. Of course it is if they don't bother for 3 days and wouldn't have at all, if I hadn't called them. Don't trust them. Go with holidayautos.com instead.

no customer service both in the booking office , and in the local car rental. Received a car that needed service - was told to return the car within 24 hours! Because I contracted Corona, had to change my booking , shorten the reservation by 8 days. Cannot get an answer whether I will be reimbursed or not!

I will NEVER rent from rentalcars.com again, EVER!! I agree with the other reviews, they are scam artist. Rented a car via rentalcars.com. Reservation was made for 4pm. Got off the plane and went to grab our luggage. Called the rental vendor at 4:30 after grabbing our luggage and was told the vehicle was cancelled for a no show and no other rentals were available. I asked why was there no notification about the car being cancelled and why was the car cancelled after only thirty minutes. AZ Car Rental advised we needed to work with rentalcars.com. After multiple calls, I was told we needed to file a claim but had to wait until after the date the rental car we didn’t receive was due to be turned in. I filed a claim for a refund and it was denied due to the car being ready at 4pm. I was told this would have been the same if our flight was delayed. I will NEVER rent thru this vendor again. I feel we were scammed out of our money.

Thieves!! I echo all of the other reviews. Do not use this company. Arrived to pick up a vehicle, company was closed, car lot empty. When we got through to them by phone they said they did not have any vehicles or a booking! Rentalcars.com have said that the car was ready and so can not refund. Will claim back through Amex as fraudulent!!

***BEWARE*** We arrived to pick up our car and the rental car company was not at the airport location. We were told (at the location) we would have to call to have them bring us a shuttle to the other location. When we called, we were told no one was working that afternoon, so we couldn't get our car. We ended up having to scramble and get a different car with another company after much wasted time on the phone with this company to figure out what was going on.

Buyer beware!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! We rented a car on rentalcars.com for pickup at an airport location. Our flight was delayed and we arrived late to pickup the car. The woman at the rental company told us that Rentalcars.com canceled our reservation within 15 minutes of our pick-up time..meaning even if our flight was on time and we were held up in baggae claim, or the rental car shuttle line, we would not be able to pick-up the car. Why would they cancel our reservation you ask? Because then they pocketed our full prepayment of 500! We ended up having to rent a car at the desk and pay in full ..again! When we finally got through to rentalcars.com- which is also very difficult when calling from overseas - we were told that since we didnt cancel our reservation 48 hours before our pick up time (who knows their flight is delayed 48 hours prior to the pick up time?!) we couldn't get any of our money back unless we made another rental agreement with them and then they would give us one day back. This is a fraudulent company!! Don't take a chance!! Just pay more!! In this case paying more will definitely cost you less!!
