My product was said to be delivered on the 21st of May before 5pm yet I did not receive any information about the product in question. In normal cases when a delivery person gets lost they contact said customer to ask for further directions this was not done my first time buying from takealot is definitely my last just want my product.

My delivery was set to be delivered on the 21st of May 2020 before 5pm yet during that time period I had not gotten a single update on my product or even a call to indicate whether the driver was lost or not. Was my first purchase from takealot definitely will be my last after this experience truly expected more, really sad to let be down

I have ordered and paid for a delivery that should have been delivered yesterday to the value of R4999 that wasn’t delivered. No SMS from Takealot and No number on the internet to Enquirer what the problem is? The only number that is available does not work. I have ordered a lot of parcels in the past trough takealot. And I have never experienced this issue. Not happy at all.

Yesterday I had the worst experience with Mr Delivery, for a first time user I was subjected to unethical drivers who lie through their teeth and an operator that promised to phone me back but she didn't even bother. I placed an order at Chicken Licken Atlas Mall on their Mr delivery app my food was collected by the driver and between him delivering my food and collecting my food I don't know what happened. All I know is I got a missed call from an unknown person I returned the call and he claimed he was the driver delivering my food minutes later my order was cancelled when I called that same driver back he told me he was at the gate of our estate and no one came to get the food and I asked him why didn't you use the access code I supplied he then started telling he is on his way to East Rand mall he will call me when he is on his way back to give me my food but I guess he decided to cancel the order because he doesn't deliver in my area, my friend decide to phone the call centre to also inquire as the same thing happened to her and she got help from this nice guy called Mathew who duplicated our order my friend's order was delivered and mine was cancelled again same reason they don't deliver in our area even though my friend and I are in the same estate and same house. I eventually gave up around 16h00 after waiting for 4 hours to get my food and my sons food, I called the call centre again demanding my money in order for me to place an order somewhere else the lady I spoke to Sihle advise me that they can either give me a voucher or a refund and I opted for a refund she then informed me that the refund process takes 24 hours or 5 days. and she reassured me that she will make sure she does the refund process herself and I should receive an email which I haven't received it I then asked her if their drivers know before cancelling the order of the pre-payments involved when placing orders she said yes, so why would they just cancel someone other without making sure first that the customer received their order. the Mr delivery drivers are out of order they are abusing whatever power they have been given to just cancel someone order whenever they feel like. what they are not aware of is whenever customer orders food it could be a person who is sickly and can in fact be a matter of life and death for that customer if he or she doesn't receive their food in time. and worse part it could be a hungry child or a mother who needs to eat so that they can breastfeed their little one but they can’t cook because they is no power as we all know we are facing electricity problems in our country. So on the 14th OF MAY 2020 I placed an order on Takealot.com to the value of R16,985 and I was ASSURED DELIVERY OF THESE GOODS WOULD TAKE PLACE ON THE 19th OF MAY 2020 before 17h00 AND I WAS CHARGED R200 FOR A DELIVERY FEE. I tracked my order until the day of delivery and I had been in contact with 2 consultants who had resolved my querys. As you may expect, DELIVERY DID NOT HAPPEN. Bear in mind I HAD CANCELLED 2 APPOINTMENTS AND KNOCKED OFF EARLY TO BE ABLE TO RECEIVE MY ORDER MYSELF BUT NOBODY TURNED UP. THE REASON AS TO WHY NOBODY TURNED UP WAS BECAUSE TAKEALOT.COM DOES NOT DELIVER LARGE APPLIANCES BECAUSE THEY "DO NOT HAVE THE VEHICLE CAPACITY TO DO SO" SO THEY OUTSOURCE THOSE LARGE APPLIANCES TO BE DELIVERED BY A 3RD PARTY DELIVERY COMPANY WHO WILL ONLY BE OPERATING AFTER LOCK DOWN ! I STILL AM UNCLEAR AS TO HOW THEY DO NOT HAVE THE VEHICLE CAPACITY TO DELIVERY THOSE ITEMS AS THE LAST TIME I TRACKED MY ORDER IT SAID THE FOLLOWING " Parcel shipped from Takealot warehouse and is in transit to courier facility" ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE ON THEIR WEBSITE IS THERE ANY DISCLAIMER THAT READS "DELIVERY FOR LARGE APPLIANCES/GOODS WILL BE DELIVERED AFTER LOCK DOWN" OR ANYTHING SIMILAR ! Knowing very well that my delivery is not able to take place on the promised date BOTH TAKEALOT CONSULTANTS who I had engaged with failed to advise me better or ensure that I am aware the delivery of my goods will not be taking place on the date as promised YET THEY STILL TOOK FUNDS FOR A DELIVERY FEE !!! Later on that evening after a query was sent another consultant had gotten in contact with me after an entire day of mine was wasted which potentially could have been a very productive day for me apologized and re assured me he was going to escalate my problem to his manager or senior and come back to me with a solution and I had also informed him I wont mind fetching my order myself as all the good are in JHB. He PROMISED TO TAG me in his mail so I could update myself on the progress of my query however I did not receive any communication whatsoever from takealot or any of their consultants. THIS BUSINESS DOES NOT OPERATE WITH TRANSPARENCY OR HONESTY OR EVEN IN GOOD FAITH.

I'm as dissapointed as most of the customers who carried out the reviews, it seems it always falls on deaf ears and the mental exhaustion takealot has caused me would probably require some physcological help. bought an LG 86" TV worth R45000.00 just before the national lockdown. the TV came on the 26th of March with a screen damaged. unfortunately as it is a boxed item we did not open it before the courie company left. couple of hours late we open the box to the shock of a broken scren. logged a return the same day. they could not collect because of the lockdown , so i had to bear the pain of seeing my tv everyday knowing i paid good money and i cant use it. the tv was only collected on the 4th of May and was registered to have only been received at the warehouse on the 9th of May. i have been waiting for communication since then but nothing. im in pain as the item is very expensive and this was my first purchase at takealot. i have never regretted experimenting news things as i do right now. my return reference is RRN-fb42-81bb

Order placed in March - driver called me to say order could not be delivered on 4 May due to closed premises - online tracking status says order is rescheduled - got an sms from takealot that order had been rescheduled for 18 May - Grant Alexander from Takealot says order was delivered on 4 May but cannot tell me who signed for the order or what time the order was delivered? Another representative from Takealot told me the order would be rescheduled and delivered to home address... all I want to know is where is my order...

Still no update on where my order is that was placed in March... have been given the complete run around by Takealot with various contradictory stories...mid May and still no one can tell me where my items are - and better yet cant get hold of a single manager to escalate the matter to...

I ordered a printer on 5 May and was told delivery would be Friday 8May. Received an Sms to say that my order would arrive 7 May which indeed it did. Always had good service and no issues. Would definitely use them again

Will never order from them again they use bad couriers and now i cant get my essential good have to wait till lockdown is over they also blame me for there fault not impressed i will be taking my business elsewhere.

I have ordered 3 I7S TWS earphones and was promised that they will be delivered on the 7th May before 17h00.To my suprise today the takealot guy delivers only 2 new boxes and 1 used box.That man could not wait to rush out of my yard.Now my kids tested the old earphones and 1 of them is not working.I'm tired of logging return requests

I paid R1000 for vodacom airtime through Takealot and they emailed me a voucher that had already been redeemed. I have since logged 3 complaints (14434553, 14428890 and 14511383) over the last 5 days and no one has got back to me. Shocking service from Takealot. I will never support this unethical company ever again, they have blatantly stolen R1000 from me and can't be bothered to take it seriously.

I ordered my Calculator on 6th of March but until today I have not received it and it is essential to me because I'm studying and I am struggling to continue with my assignments without my calculator and it was ordered way before the lockdown because of your late deliveries I'm still waiting your service is poor and I will never use your services again never!

It's ok but some suppliers are selling fake items. Check the reviews of the product first before purchasing, those that do not have any reviews I recommend that you do not purchase those.

Im never using this app again. I select a item not in a box, and they bring me an empty box. Very dissatisfied. I dnt understand why they will take this long to respond to email.

I’m really not happy with takealot.com I placed my order 1st March so I can secure my business with unlimited WiFi, I bought a router and simcard and till date I haven’t received my order and my business is really suffering, I’m really not happy with their service

I am horribly disappointed in Takealot and their poor customer service. In this time of state crisis. I ordered 4 products from Takealot on 20 March 2020. I waited for my order and never heard from a thing from Takealot. Today 12 April I go online to see that Takealot has canceled my order without contacting me to let me know. I contact them to find out what is happening and get told that my items are considered "not essential" so the full order was canceled and I can reorder my products. I need these products to generate an income. So they are essential for me. When I go back online to reorder takealot has changed the pricing and I am expected to pay in an extra R1300 ontop of the original price. All of this frustration could have been avoided had Takealot bothered to contact me regarding my order and my money. I will be taking my business else where.

I was shocked to see that Takealot does not have a 5 star review. I have been buying from them for years and am pleasantly surprised everything at their efficiency and professionalism. My orders often arrive earlier than expected and I have never had an issue returning anything. Its the only online shop i truly trust.
