“I bought my husband a driving experience for Christmas. We went yo Wattisham on July 9th and arrived at 12.30 as stated. We then had to wait an hour just to be checked in. Absolutely ridiculous!! It was a very hot day to be stood in a queue. When my husband finally checked in he was asked if he wanted various other things that cost alot more! No wonder check in takes so long. I just bought him a gift he doesn't then want to pay a load more on top of that. The only thing he purchased was the damage waver insurance. Then they turn round said to of his cars weren't available. He choose some more was then told they cost even more!! Erm hello you messed up then you want to charge for more. He then had to have two cars he didn't really want. Great start. Its all just money making!! When he had finally checked in he got in his first car at 2.45pm having been booked for 1.00pm. After being sat on the wrong seat and forgotten about. Great!! Absolutely ridiculous!! We had our young son with us who suffers from Autism as he was very excited to see his dad. We would never had bought him had we known there was do much waiting around!! There was do many people there should be called car chaos, way more people than the organisers could handle. Needs to be at least half that or less. When my husband did get his drive he found the cars were automatic so he couldn't get the full experience from them. The track was not in view so my poor little boy couldn't even see his dad in the car racing! Then to top it all just as hubby was getting in first car they said no photos after god knows how many people had already been let through to take photos. I was furious and little boy was really upset he couldn't have a photo with daddy with the cars! We got do fed up we went and sat in the car as couldn't see anything anyway. Hubby then followed close behind as was so fed up he didn't even bother with his high speed passenger ride. He was so told when he went to purchase his photos. They weren't ready yet! As if we hadn't waisted enough time! Absolutely disgusting! Don't ever buy this it's absolute waste of money. It was such a hot day to be left waiting around as well. It's all money making! Hope you make some changes Car Chase Heroes! Disgraceful never buying this again!!!”
“I attended Wattisham Airfield on Saturday 9th July with my husband and son as I had bought a Car experience for my husband for Christmas. The whole afternoon was just a disaster from start to finish. We arrived at 12.30 as stated to do so. My husband then had to queue for an hour just to check in. Absolutely ridiculous! Then of top of that there was two cars he had booked unavailable. He choose some others but was then told they would cost even more. So he ended up in two cars he didn't even want. Erm hello not his problem the cars weren't available he should have been able to pick which ever ones he wanted and you should have waved the cost!! Disgusting!! His race was booked for 1.00pm he eventually got in his first car at 2.45pm, after being sat on the wrong chair and forgotten about. Absolute chaos!! I was Absolutely furious after standing around with my son who suffers with Autism. (Who I never would have bought had I have known we would be waiting around all that time) to then be told sorry no photos with the cars now. My son was so looking forward to seeing his daddy in the cars and having a photo with him! We couldn't even see him going round the track as it wasn,'t even in view of spectators. We got so fed up of waiting around me and my son went back in the car husband followed not long after. He didn't even do his high speed passenger ride as he was so fed up! Cars were also automatic apart from one do couldn't even get the full experience out of them. Absolutely disastrous day from start to finish and so hot as well. All about money making rather than enjoying the experience. Husband didnt even get any photos as they weren't ready when he had finished!! Do not ever book this absolute rubbish and waste of money!!! “no signs to guide us to the venue. paid to drive 3 cars,stung with a compulsary £25 waiver chage. weather was boiling hot,organisers sat compfortably under gazeebos whilst customers had no cover..long wait between drives . gave up after 2 cars.poorly orgaised.very disappointed, after waiting 2 years due to covid.”
“Had the misfortune of attending Abingdon today. What total chaos!! Greeted by a massive queue even though we arrived before our required time we couldn't get in because of registering and being conned out of £25 insurance waiver. Then to the pit lane to wait again!! Finally got the first drive then got called through for the second and waited 25 minutes plus for my next car, found out my instructor was taking out two different cars. Luckily that meant I got Domonic who was the only bright star in a dismal day, that was a great fun drive, thanks Domonic. Wish he organised the whole thing. My final drive was the Ariel Atom. Then I waited and waited. Turns out they had bookings for two cars all day but only ran one, the chaos runs deep!! Finally gave up at 5.15 because we had to drive back to Devon and I had lost the will to live by then. Suffice to say never, never again!! Captain chaos reigns supreme. They had 500 drivers today apparently 800 on Sunday god help you all!!!”
“We booked at the only site that had 2 of the 3 cars we wanted. We had an email 4 days before to welcome us. 2 days before the event we were told that 2 of the 3 cars were unavailable. The email said we could rebook, still waiting to hear!!! Wouldn’t recommend.”
“My daughter brought this car experience at Tibenham Norfolk for my 60th birthday last Friday.I haven’t got the heart to tell her how bad it was . Me and my son inlaw only got to drive one car when three cars had been paid for The pouring rain didn’t help even with protective clothing after 4hrs waiting we were soaked like everybody else. The staff were clueless it was a total shambles We like a lot of others left early.The only good point for us was the fact we only had a short journey home , some sort of refund would be a nice gesture. I Would not recommend this to anybody ….Total shambles!!”
“Complete waste of time! After travelling 1.5 hours to get to Tibenham & queuing in the pouring rain to sign disclaimer etc, my husband spent another 90 minutes (we’ll past his time slot) waiting to be called up- only to find out none of the allocated cars were on the track!! Staff didn’t seem to know what was going on either & couldn’t care less! We left in the end as lost the will to live with it all! After complaining, he managed to get 2 (out of 3) rides that were rushed! Advice would be not to waste your money on this!”

“Hugely disappointing experience. Nothing about this was premium. The booking process and communication was terrible, the voucher I received as a birthday gift had fairly standard cars so I invested in some upgrades. A hand written sign on arrival took me to an enormous queue of equally gullible souls. After 45 mins queuing to register, being fleeced of another £25 for insurance and another £10 to be shown the ‘circuit’ we were told the ‘Ferrari you have booked is out of power’. So I had a choice of bang average cars left to choose instead. I was then directed to the ‘pit area’, a field full of people shivering in the wind and rain in the middle of the airfield. After an hour of hearing names shouted randomly I asked if i was actually on their system. The chap looked and said I was and told me to go back and wait. After 2 hours of bitter cold, I eventually stuck my arm up in time when one of the 3 cars I was due to drive was announced. The drive was not on a track, it was around some cones on a runway and took approximately 3 minutes. I then repeated the wait for an hour and drive for 3 minutes experience before giving up on the third car I’d booked because I could no longer feel my hands, needed to find somewhere to go to the toilet and was frankly so disappointed by the driving experience it really wasn’t worth another hour in a field. I never did get the £10 drive around the circuit to learn it. And so, I paid 000s of £ to stand in a field for 4 hours and drive around some cones for 6 minutes. I’m 50
years old and wasted some money in my life. Nothing compares to this though. Shocking from start to finish. Oh, and I forgot to mention the final insult, the offer of photos and video of this miserable experience for a whole load more ££”
“I was not satisfied by the client service of this company, and want others to be aware of this.
I purchased voucher that allowed me to drive 2 cars, and as was mentioned by other reviewers additional costs came up. However I wanted to try them, therefore paid additional price for Premium Cars.
Afterwards, because of my personal reasons I was not able to attend, therefore I contacted them 5 days prior to the event. However, it turns out that rebooking of the driving session when less than 7 days left will need extra payment that is £29 for each car. In my case it is £40 with the discount for 2 cars. This regulation should be announced before or during the purchasing of the tickets. If this was the case I would’ve change my time earlier, or at least be prepared for this. Ok, this is second big disadvantage of the Carchaseheroes.
The final one that completely disappointed me is that when you purchase the voucher, you can’t return it under any circumstances, so it means you are left with only one option that is paying extra money for rebooking!
