i was charged without my knowledge, the auto renewal was turned on without my permission. it went on for three months and when i called the customer service asked for refund, they argued that it was me that turned it on.
I have to called my credit card company to get the refund which i did, what kind of stupid business practice, upset a good customer over penny.”
“I would love for someone to explain to me why this duplicitous company is allowed to operate in the UK so openly. I bought £10 credit with a SIM card on the third of May. I was meant to receive it in the post in about 4 working days, 4 days came and it hadn't come through, so I called lyca customer service to find out why I hadn't received the SIM card. The agent I spoke to, in INDIA, had no idea whether or not the SIM card had been sent. So I thought to be on a safe side, I'd request for the credit to be loaded onto an existing SIM card, which the agent agreed. She told me to expect the credit to be loaded within 24-48 hours. After 48 hours I checked and it hadn't been loaded so I decided to call them again, this was on the 14th of May. I was taken through the same generic processes again. I was advised to give it a further 48 hours in order to have the credit loaded onto my existing SIM card. 48 hours passed and nothing I had it at this point, i rang lyca and asked for a refund. This was on the 18th of May, I was told to expect the refund in 7-9 working days time. I checked my account after the 9th day and my money hadn't been refunded. I called the customer service and the agent I spoke to was holy clueless I could hardly understand what the hell she was saying. She kept putting me on hold and eventually hanged the phone on me. I called again and spoke to a different person she also put me on hold for about 6 minutes and ended up hanging on me again. I made a third call and before I could say jack I was cut off. It dawned on me that they don't intend to refund my money. I contacted my bank right away and asked them to raise a dispute with them. How can this daylight robbery allowed to happen at this day and age in Britain???”

“Worst service provider. Customer service are so rude and arrogant. I had someone asking me the same question (which wasn’t clear question) and they wanted to hear a yes or no answer, when they have all the information in front of them.
You are better off going with Lebara, as they are nice and friendly and their recharge service is so user friendly. If your smart switch now!! And ditch the horrible Lyca service”
“The worst ever provider I have encountered in my life!! I have been out of service for two weeks!!!!!!! made so many phone calls to customer service. their customer service is a total joke, they are helpless with very bad attitude!! They ask you to call back in 24 to 48 hours, when you call back, you just tell the same problem to a different representative again!! And their customer service doesn't reply to e-mails!!!! so calling the customer service is the only way you can do to put your request. I purchased a bundle with preload credit, when trying to activate the plan I was rejected because the pin has been used!! I never used the pin before calling customer service and never provide the pin to anyone except customer service!!! My experience with lycamobile is a total waste of time and money!!!!! Serious suggestion, STAY AWAY FROM LYCAMOBILE!!!!”

They take your money and don’t give you the service you paid for.
Even though it is their error, they put the blame on you as the customer. They refuse to take any responsibility, and they refuse to refund your money.
They don’t respond to emails, and their Customer Service is a joke. You have to repeat yourself every time. They give you different information every time. You go round and round in circles, and nothing gets resolved. They hang up on you too.
Their app is rubbish. It crashes every time you open it.
Stay well away from LycaMobile. They are crooks!
If you’re looking for cheap international calls, go with Lebara, a more reputable company.”

The worst experience I ever had. DO NOT CHOOSE LYCA. There are way to many other providers to choose from to end up here. I only did because a friend recommended it, but by now we have both switched to other providers.
My experience with Lyca email support and call center has been profoundly disappointing. The big problem came up when I wanted to cancel my bundle with them, in order to use another bigger one. There is no place to cancel the bundle, so I contacted them after I had two bundles running, to ask for one of them to be canceled as I did not plan to use it. The response I got was after 3 emails and 10 days delay, and it didn't make sense. I have used the actual email response as an example of what is unacceptable, in the company I am working for. The syntax is not right and the overall email does not make sense. Even then I still contact back to clarify what I think I have understood. Again, they will not respond after 2 new emails and they promise to cancel it.
2 weeks on and both new bundles kick in!!!
I contact them through email again to demand cancellation and refund but as expected their support is radio silence. I choose to call them and there is a very polite lady that says that she can see that I have not used the two bundles and that I will be refunded in 10 working days.
15 working days have passed, nothing has happened and I am calling to see what is going on. The response I get is, as expected by now, disappointing.
You do not want to work with this company. I will try to see what other ways I can find to get my money back, but being a person that has been working in customer/user support positions for more than 4 years, I have no words.”
“Absolutely horrendous service. Staff need training on how to speak to customers. Very rude and abrupt. Phone service is terrible. Purchased a bundle package. Data part of it doesn't work. Receiving random calls and messages from numbers that I have never seen before. When dealing with their call centre, they don't seem to understand what the customer is saying. Just cut you short midway through a conversation!”
“Checked my balance yesterday (6 May 2020) before buying a voucher, over £7-00, made one 'phone call then bought a £10-00 voucher which Lycamobile said had already been used - after 10 minutes - who is kidding who ? checked my balance again and the 'phone call had cost me over £2-00 but not only that I had no balance from the original voucher. E-mails via lycamobile web-site and direct were ignored and 'phone lines, both land and Lycamobile were and are still "dead" This firm has no concept of "Customer Service" text message "All in one 10 up" and "USSD running" what the hell do these mean ? perhaps somebody could put this into proper English.”

For more than 2 weeks now, I can't receive or make any calls. I have signal, but I get this message 'Not registered on network.'. But they still charge me, since the top-up was automatic. I try to reach the support and they are telling me to do some complicated settings on my phone. Still doesn't work.
