I've trying your whole chicken about 2 years ago so i've decided to try it again. In my opinion, your whole chicken taste about the same as local chicken i get in New York supermarket. In all honesty ( i do not know if it could be compare) whole chicken from local supermarker in Costa Rica taste better (more juicier). It remind me the chicken I taste in Europe. I do not know anything about raising chickens. I was hoping the way you raise chickens that it would taste the same as in Europe. Maybe its not possible - too many variable. One can only hope. Any case good luck your in your journey.”
“I didn’t get to try the chicken because it took a eeek to get to my house and was completely thawed. The Route Package Protection was very easy to work with and refunded my money immediately. However, I can’t in good conscience order more chicken and risk that happening again. I’m not willing to waste food like that or have an animal die in vain.”
“Chicken taste can vary from breed to breed. Taste is affected by the diet of the chickens, but the breed can make a difference as well. For example, Red Rangers taste a bit sweeter than Cornish Cross broilers.
Could you please develop some high-class chicken breeds for delicious meat with different purposes: chicken soup or roasting in the oven?
E.g,: Reed flower chicken, Kosher King chicken, Dark Cornish chicken”
“The chicken is great and very well priced. However the sizing of the packages was changed in the recent months and now you get less product. At least that is the case with the wings and sometimes with the breast. I understand things get more expensive, but I would prefer to be charged more as opposed to getting less chicken. I also would like to have a functional website and not having to email customer service every time I want to place an order.”

“I was impressed by how quickly the birds were delivered. They were perfectly packaged and all equally frozen; I bought 5.
I have eaten one so far and it was fairly tasteless when cooked in the instant pot where I usually have very good results. It is chewy which is expected from pastured animals. It was not as tender or juicy as I would have liked. The broth is exceptionally gelatinous though.”
“I’m definitely a believer in the mobile coop concept, however I wanted to give you all some honest feedback. If you can freeze the chicken in a flat manner, instead of a chunk, it would be best. It takes forever to de frost and causes over cooking. Also not sure why my entire house smelled really bad when I cooked the chicken, not sure what caused that to happen. You all have excellent customer service, appreciate it!”
“I got the wrong order. I got someone elses packing slip with only chicken wings I never got my 3 packages of chicken thighs. but the other guys order was 23 packages of wings so I guess will just leave things as they are I did notify Pasturebird so the man who ordered 23 chicken wing packs will be sent his order. he probably got my order no problem on this end”
“The chickens were extraordinary. The problem I had was the latest packages that were delivered to me were not 2 pounds or more (wings). Although two packs were already refunded, it’s just saddening.”
“The chicken products were very good. I did have an issue with the shipping. I placed my order on a Tuesday, my order shipped on Wednesday and had an expected delivery date of Friday. I did not receive the order on Friday, and it wasn't until Monday morning that I received updated tracking information from FedEX saying it would be delivered on that day, being Monday. Looking back on the tracking information from FedEx I noticed that it stated "Delivery WEEKDAY Residential Delivery Ice". So, I'm left to assume that because my delivery didn't make it by Friday, it sat at the FedEx station over the weekend because it stated it was WEEKDAY delivery. I did not notice that anywhere on your ordering website before placing my order. If I would have known, I would have waited to place my order to ensure it would not sit over the weekend in a truck or at the FedEx station thawing out! When I did receive it the chicken products on the top were thawed out but, still a bit chilled feeling so I decided to take a chance and still eat them. Not something I will want to do again. When spending that much money, I expect a better experience. I do understand that it's out of your control once you ship it but, it really should be know to the costumer how the shipper you choice to ship your products runs or doesn't run its business on the weekends.”
“The price was way too expensive for o (7) chicken breasts. Will not order from this company again. There are other pasture raised chicken farms that are more reasonably priced.”
“Need to improve order process, especially upcoming subscription box orders. I received an email that the subscription was on hold because of weather and then month later I made a custom order and shortly after that my subscription order was scheduled. Once you put subscriptions on hold there should be communication that the subscription is being scheduled again and request if the customer is ready to resume.”
“I think this is a wonderful product with a wonderful mission ... BUT ... I cannot GET anything! Everything is always sold out and I cannot even make a subscription :'(”
“Box of chicken arrived and I was disappointed to find the packages were not vacuumed sealed. This makes longer term storage in the freezer a problem and in fact when the chicken arrived the meat already had freezer burn. Because of the freezer burn I had to cut off part of the breasts before cooking. Chicken breasts were good when cooked but freezer burn and packing were very disappointing”
“The only chicken I've prepared thus far is the whole rotisserie chicken. I expected it to be a lot meatier. Considering how small it was I feel it was overpriced and nothing special. I placed an order because I was most interested in the chicken livers. Hopefully they will not disappoint.”
