Asked to speak with the person who wrote my new website and got told I couldn't cos they were in india!!!!! Really...amazed they get any good reviews

What went wrong! Website was written by a 5 year old...... Come on Yell, answer the question asked on here. You charged me a fortune for a Premium Plus website then wrote it on the cheap in India. Customers aren't stupid...

Don't believe the five star reviews on here. Look for reviews from existing customers. Load of rubbish products made on the cheap in India

I hope people will read the reviews before deciding to do business with them...All of these 'nice' reviews either is written by them, or the customer is new and doesn't know how bad they are!!! They also asked us to ask our friends to give good reviews, this company is a fake!!!!

Website they build you do not own!!! It's underhand to get you to stay a customer. Impossible to speak to someone as all their staff including website writers and ppc are off-shore - SEO - don't make me laugh....

only bothered about getting me to sign a 12 month contract - soon as that was done no one ever called me back Wanted to cancel but they said if I did it will go to Moorcroft debt collection straight away. Don't leave reviews until you've been a customer for a while!!!

The worst experience over!!!!!!! As everyone who dealt with them, I didn't have any idea what does it mean to advertise your business with them. At the beginning I was excited, but after I've done my research online and read others comments, I decided to cancel this 'contract' with them, as it was no use for me. All my clients found my business on Gumtree. So, I called them after 10 days and they told me I cannot close my advertising with them as it is a contract, which no-one mention to me about this. I explained the situation, I didn't even have 14 days so It was supposed to be able to cancel the contract. They didn't even want to hear. After 3 months, Moorcroft Recovery debt contacted me and i paid my outstanding balance just to get rid off them! Paid £400 for nothing! Please, whoever is reading my review, don't get involved with yell!! Found other way of advertising, because there are soo many ways. It's such a shame and waste of money!!!

Advertised my construction company. They called up twice to upgrade which I did so performance will improve and they’re the biggest directory in U.K. blah blah blah. 6 months later, paying £140 a month I got 56 clicks and 0 phone calls. I called up to cancel, but they don’t take any responsibility and they tell me they put me on top of the list and that’s what I payed for., to be at the top of a list!!!??? Tied up on 1 year contract. The money is not an issue but the moral....!!! I hope they go bankrupt soon.

Be warned check how long the contract you sign electronically is!!!!!!! Mine said monthly rolling but turned out it was 12 months with no cancellations. Plus at the end you DO NOT OWN YOUR WEBSITE.

highest commission for ppc in the county and to make it worse I found out they build the ppc google adword campaigns in India. Do not use them for your PPC advertising, do some research and not just on review websites as these often give the wrong impression

I was miss sold an advert which costs me £115 per month and was told I would be guaranteed 2 calls per week and after 6 weeks I have received no calls and they had the cheek to ask me for £900 to cancel this, would never use yell again!!!

Have been trying to contact after them making appointments by phone and me sitting waiting and waiting.. Tried to cancel but they signed for a year. I wasn't aware that I had actually signed anything especially not a year. They said £20 and somehow that escalated to £70 which is no way what I can afford for a small business. I have asked for details of their legal department so I can sue for fraud but they refuse to give me them. They are now sending debt collectors. I have all the emails which can go to the debt collectors which show that I have been trying to resolve this through the courts. Please do not be misled by these people I am now on anti depressants. I would give zero stars if it was possible.

I would give zero stars if I could. I was misled into the contract and received just TWO calls during the year I was with them and very few clicks (612 impressions and about 21 clicks). Their advertising does not reach anyone. To make it worse, the cancellation procedure is a nightmare, I cancelled, then the CONTINUED to bill me, resetting the direct debit (probably illegally) so that they could take payment again. These people are fraudsters. Avoid at all costs.

The contract was on automatic renewal. When I stopped the Direct Debit after 12 months. They sent Debt collectors and harassed me. Went downhill after HIBU bought Yell.
