Hopeless, negative - you are forgotten once you have paid upfront. Do not bother, go elsewhere. Completely rubbish. You complain, they ring you up, promise the world then forget about you once the phone goes down. The worst estate agent, I thought purple bricks was bad, these are worse

As a buyer Yopa have been a nightmare. They never contact you back, and when my offer was revised and then accepted they didn't resubmit memorandum of sale for 3 weeks. The seller is using their solicitors and so far it has taken 4 weeks and still they are not responding to my solicitor or anyone.....terrible!

Over valued my property to get my business, 8 viewings in the space of 3 months, no one rings from their support team to give feedback, AVOID at all cost, use them if you want to loose your money as I have. I have logged a complaint, week later no call.

1) During the free valuation, they valued my property at GBP 165,000. Then, after I instructed Yopa to sell my property, they said I am more likely to receive GPB 145,000. So they overvalued just to get my business. 2) The screwed the for sale board into a brand new wooden gate without checking with me. 3) I was never able to speak to their sales support team. They always offered that someone would call me back, and they never did. 4) The agent was impossible to get hold of. He did not reply to messages. 5) And worst of all, they maned to loose my house keys - go figure!

We've just sold our house through YOPA and were very happy with the service and price. Our local agent Oswald had lots of experience in the industry and we really trusted his expertise over pricing and how to handle the interest we got in the house. The advert was professional and we went under offer in just under two months at a quiet time of year, which was consistent with other properties in our area. The online hub was very easy to use and it was useful to be able to see how many hits your advert was getting on the property portals daily. Having Oswald at the end of the phone meant we got all the expertise and experience of a high street agent but for a much better price. We also had more control because we were communicating with buyers ourselves and doing the viewings personally as well, so we weren't constantly ringing an agent for updates. Having met our buyer through viewings, it meant we were directly in touch and could keep each other updated in what was a lengthy and complex conveyancing process (unrelated to YOPA). I would definitely recommend YOPA to anyone who has the time to do viewings and wants to control the process themselves, but have the knowledge and advice of a dedicated agent you can call any time of the day - Oswald always replied to texts and calls at the weekends and in the evenings, which you wouldn't necessarily get from a high street agent. It would have cost us around £7,000 to sell through some of our high street agents and we got the same result for a tenth of the price.

We share the experience of many of your negative reviewers. AVOID THIS COMPANY! They are not professional estate agents. We had to write our own details and then ask for several corrections when they were uploaded, the photos taken were appalling, we were promised things that never eventuated, including a £200 cashback if we signed with them. We had one immediate viewer and then nothing. We have tried to implement a complaints procedure following their guidelines and have received no response in two weeks, not even an acknowledgement of receipt. Someone should investigate this company. The agent who signed us up was nothing more than a con-man.

Wish I had read the recent reviews on here rather than what Yopa put up on their site. A really bad experience overall with Yopa and very disappointing. They are vey good at portraying a value for money service but through experience of using Yopa they lack the business structure to follow through on what they first convey and are definitely not a professional business. I am gutted I have been suckered into using Yopa, never again and I would recommend to avoid this using this business, unless you want a substandard service and to be ripped off. Do not use Yopa!

Thought I would save some money by using Yopa. How wrong! This company is verging on fraudulent, the estate agents that Yopa use have nice suits but do not have clue about selling houses. Avoid this company.

Very bad service. This is not a proper estate agent and can not provide the service that it portrays. To keep the stats up the agents lie about the viewings completed and even when I withdrew from Yopa they put it up as Sold. Overall a very bad service from a sub standard company. Company is a joke!

DO NOT CHOOSE YOPA!! I recently chose YOPA to sell my property, lured in by the thought of saving money. The agent over valued the property by £20,000 to get me to sign up. After the 14 day money back period he changed his mind on the pricing. The agent changed and the second agent (who was better to be fair) dropped the price further The agents were lacking in local knowledge and fitting in viewings was sporadic. I ended up cancelling with Yopa but having to pay a £600 exit fee. I would not recommend Yopa and would stick with a local agent. You get what you pay for.

Approaching 10 months now trying to sell with YOPA.co.uk.with only one very dubious viewing, and we are now on our fourth local sales agent, you contact them with little or no contact in return from the agent. We have dropped the price three times but still no viewings from YOPA, even though we have had six other independent estate agents value our property at it's higher original opening price. Something is dreadfully wrong with this online setup. Tip; Keep a check on the YOPA website and monitor the ever changing new photographs of local agents, and see how their new weekly properties total increase's at a very dramatic rate, slick advertising obviously works, and even if fifty percent paid up front like us fools their business model is on a sure fire winner! We have now gone multiple agent with the new addition of a local firm of estate agents in the hope that we can get a better service and an eventual sale. YOPA draw you in with glowing reviews on a certain website which is linked via the YOPA website itself. At the start we had high hopes, now we feel like mugs and we are now out of pocket of around £800. Reading real online reviews makes you realise the amount of negative feedback for online estate agents, it seems they are not what they perceive to be. Our experience with YOPA has been a total waste of time and money, trying to sell your property with YOPA brings you down to reality with a real crash!

Terrible communication and organisation. It's impossible to get in to view their properties at a convenient time (or at any time sometimes). The call centre I had to ring to view the property were rude and aggressive in trying to push solicitors, mortgage brokers etc onto me when all I wanted to do was view a property. Hands down the worst 'estate agent' if they can be called that, I've ever used.

Keep clear of these people. Our property has been for sale with them for over a year and none of the agents stay long enough to make an impact. Shockingly bad approach and attitude.

Having worked for YOPA as an estate agent, I have seen the badly poor management who have and continue to mis-lead their agents, who in turn provide a very very poor service to their customers. YOPA's agents are asked to get vendors to sign up no matter what it takes!! Whether over-valuing, over promising and providing fake details of potential buyers. It is a numbers game to them and customer service is at the very bottom of their agenda. Stay clear!!

So far, as a buyer, a lot of work to even arrange a viewing of the property; poor phone lines; no one calls back; agents that do not even care if they recorded an email address correctly... Shame, but yet another case that you get what you pay for.

Agent left me waiting at the front of the property and then canceled appointment after the meeting time, like she really did not care. I think it must be a part time job, so I will stick to estate agent that I can trust and do business with.
