The bank's "fraud detection" shut down my card without notice when I tried booking a hotel on Booking.com, which I have done many times before without a problem. I had no clue why I was unable to complete the booking. This "false positive" caused a cascade of problems for me and a huge time expenditure. It's impossible to talk to someone to resolve odd problems like this. Instead the bank puts you through menu hell, with a long list of irrelevant options.

Barclaycard sent me a sms message today referring to changes to my Terms and Conditions, saying they had sent me an email, but they had NOT! So I tried to contact them via their 'preferred option' - Chat from the App -- but although their BOT said Hi, the service was not connecting. So I tried to ring on the main number and went ROUND and ROUND message after message and back to the start. 1) THEY had no business using SMS. 2) Every aspect of this was a CAR CRASH! How can they be trusted with my money if this is how they behave?

They took advantage of me, tricking me into thinking I was making money while all they were doing was robbing me. You will be duped by this website, so please avoid it. Within a few days of reporting the problem to "AlexcryptoFX @ writeme dt COM" I received my money back in addition to my profit. He’s an expert.

They lowered my credit limit for no reason!!! My payments are never ever late ! They did not have a problem giving me the credit card !!!

Worst credit experience ever. Excellent credit, so I applied and was asked for more info. I complied, then received the same letter asking for the same info a month later. I called CS and then complied by sending info again. Repeat 2 more times. Finally, I take the time to work my way up the ladder to a higher mgr and explain situation. She says, "sorry it's been over 90 days and your application has expired". Never again.

I closed my account on the 29th of April this company didn't recognize closure until the 20th of May!!! and it's still showing a large outstanding balance on my credit report whenit should show a ZERO BALANCE. Despite several attempts to remedy this I have been told that this ERROR will remain on my Credit Reference Report up until the 21st to the 28th of July. This is disgraceful!!!!!!!!!! When all the other credit card services I have used have acted exemptively and quickly on closure. I will never use or recommend Barclay card services or Barclay Bank to anyone. I AM VERY VERY VERY UPSET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! because it now affects my Credit Rating when I'm looking to reinvest in property.

2 stars because there are few positive points: 1- excellent if you want to accumulate Avios points. 2- Card was delivered within 3 days from opening the account . Bad experience 3- The APP is not great. You cannot access it unless you have a pin machine that takes a week to be delivered so you can keep spending but wont be able to track for a week . 4- any additional carholders cannot have access to the APP so they can't track their spend and they also cannot talk to the customer service when card services dont work. they will only talk to the main cardholder. this is really backwards in my view, they allow you to use the card but you cannot talk to them. So me and my husband need to be together so I am able to answer their questions when trying to resolve an issue. (so inneficient!!!)

Do not get this credit card - it is a travel card, but if you try to put a large charge on it, they will not let it go through. I had to spend 4 hours over 2 days with multiple security personal to do a somewhat large charge. Even after verifying and authenticating, they systems are so poor that a charge will not go through. If you are travelling internationally, have an emergency and need to charge for a medical emergency, you will be dead before a charge can be made. If I could give a zero, I would do so.

Five days ago, my barclaycard account vanished from my app. I have contacted several advisors to try and resolve this problem but no advisor seems to have a clue on how to fix this problem Only one option open to me and that is to use my other card from another bank. Hopeless customer service from Barclays

I've been a customer for over 17 years, and it is really hard to do simple tasks with this bank, like changing your phone number; it's not allowed on the app. You have to send really sensitive documents via mail, like your SSN and driver's license, just to update your number. Also, your rewards are never accessible... They make it really hard for you to earn $1 after spending $3k. Just stick to other banks with greater cash back. I don't recommend this bank at all. They make you pay and hold you responsible for charges you didn't even authorize when someone steals your card. If I were you, I'd stay away from this private bank; it's not worth your time or money. I'm on my way to report this to the Better Business Bureau. It is a waste of time dealing with them since they don't even credit your account when bad things happen to you. They make you responsible for fraud and suspicious activity and want you to deal with the merchant yourself when it's supposed to be their job. Useless customer service. I have never had a problem with other banks and I have a perfect 800 credit score. Even to cancel your account, they make it really hard. This is my first time ever complaining about a bank, and it is because this card and bank don't do what they promise. No rewards allowed and no help with a stolen card. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR CHARGES YOU DID NOT AUTHORIZE

Nothing but a waste of time and resources as they will only make you lose your money, they are a sham and a huge disappointment to the society, they will never let you take out your funds, If you are also in this mess kindly write to Alex crypto help (at) consultant (.)com and get a good feedback

Customer service is not even attempted with this company. I have been a credit card holder for many years. I had some fraudulent charges from an obvious questionable company. I spent many hours talking to many representatives. The charges were removed and then replaced. They opened an investigation again. The company was very difficult to contact and then wouldn't give any recourse even though I returned the product. I have spent hours on the phone with Barclaycardusa. I will spend many more hours filing a complaint with the federal governmebt. I don't think it will do any good.

Every time I pay my credit card balance down, they reduce my credit. This lowers my credit score. I am always paying my bill a week before it is due and have never been late. I wish I had never opened this card.

This company is the epitome of bad business practices, as well as non-existent customer service. For anyone considering partnering with this company for ANY reason, heed my advice or forever remember that you were warned. I would rather shove razor blades beneath my fingernails than be involved with any business with the ruthless company and their shady business practices.

Horrible, horrible customer service Had a major issue regarding a purchase Involving a scammer ; tried to stop payment and did with plenty of time; after 30 days, they released the money back, and I was told that I initiated the process incorrectly and I was treated horrible…. You have no protection with Barclays in fact, they spin it around where it’s your fault, They prolong the process then they end up telling you it’s been too long and they can’t do anything for you.. I am out over $1000 with no merchandise because Barclays would not listen to the issue and understand that I was in a scam situation didn’t even bother contacting scammers and good luck, reaching anybody in upper management my advice stay away from Barclays… I am 61 years old. This has been the worst customer service business situation I have ever been in my entire life thanks, Barclays….

Terrible customer service all the way to the Phillipines, what a waste of customer money. these people are clueless, their accent is very heavy and their knowledge is 000. Barclay's customer service is terrible. on top of everything they are not truthful. I am closing my account with them. They are not worth the aggravation

I spend 45 minutes, yes, 45 minutes on the phone trying to resolve an issue. I received a call from a "Spam" number. I never answer spam calls. The caller left a message. It was a call from Barclay's security so I called back in less than 5 minutes. I thought it was fishy because of the spam phone number, so I called the number on the back of my card. Sure enough, it was a call from the security department. I had to verify all sorts of information and then was told, Never mind, we already canceled the transaction. WHAT? Then they told me that a hold was placed on my account and I would have to wait up to four days to use the account. I was transferred twice, disconnected, once, and asked to verify my information three times. The customer service is the worst ever. In four days, after this issue is resolved, I'm cashing out my points and cancelling the card. Bad customer service is an understatement.

Awful service. Chat function refuses to connect, phone line is an endless maze of automated choices you don't want. No way to get through to any useful help.
