It’s a scam they wanted a 3600 dollar deposit for my rental which made no sense. Plus they wanted me to buy the extra insurance which cost more than my rental !!!!!! DONT BOOK WITH THEM SCAM !

Avoid at all costs Used this site to rent a car in Romania. It is smoke and mirrors with this company. The excess is absolutely a rip off (Eur 2200 for a normal SUV)and even if you buy the extra cover, the voucher doesn't cover what you were told on the front page. They are crooks! Use at your peril.

We tried to contact them from the airport for pickup. No one answered the phone. They listed their shuttle busses as Yellow in colour between T 1 to T 3 which is a long stretch. They said there was a tower but that was behind so never saw it. There are hundred of vehicles coming and going it is hard to spot a white shuttle bus amongst hundreds. Eventually they came charged us for being late We’re rude unprofessional. We were truly disgusted with their behaviour. We left without taking a hired car We went by train

Avoid holidaycars at all costs. Don't be fooled by low prices - they are a scam and will steal your money. Go with any other recognisable rental directly even if it costs you more. The terms and conditions of your rental with holidaycars are designed to make it highly likely that no car will be provided: if your flight lands 59 mins late then your booking is void without a refund.

Booked a car through holiday cars paid for what I thought was extra insurance, so no deposit needed to be taken. Balance of £162.00 to pay. Had to pay £364.00 not impressed at all.

I would like to express my deep disappointment with Holiday Cars.com regarding a recent incident. My brother travelled from the UK to Cape Town and made a payment for the car. He then cancelled the booking and was assured that a refund would be given. However, now Holiday Cars.com is refusing to refund us, leaving us feeling frustrated and dissatisfied with their service. We hope that Holiday Cars.com takes immediate action to address this issue and provide a resolution.

I booked a car with this company. At the Hertz Checkin in Rome, I was told that my Credit Card was not accepted, so they could not give me the car (Polestar) that i have booked. Buuuuut.... If I was going to take the Fiat 500L and paying more, almost 50 euros more per day...they would accept my card. Hilarious. HolidayCars was not picking the phone the all day on sunday...the all day I have been left without any support from holidaycars and they didn't react at all. After my complaint, they told me that I do not have right for the refund. Even If I have used the same credit card, during the all process, payed with the same credit card, and showed at the desk, that I have mpre then enough on my account, they did't even wanted to try. They just wanted to give be the worster car for more money. Do not consider Holiday cars as a car rental. the service is horrible and you are left alone against any incovinience with agency. Additionaly...The polestar was rented with 50% discount...but at the airport they didnt have any. maybe that's why they wanted to give me the Fiat 500L.

HolidayCars.com is a brooker and they pass the contract to Kelly by Europcar, i arrived 26 min late after 20h at Geneva airport desk decided they wil cancel the rental and i will be reimbursed it never happens they tell you that they need 21-28 days to respond but b... they just try to gain time, no customer service NEVER AGAIN AND DO NOT USE even it could looks attractive about price i have lost 100% of the value of contract

What a terrible company. My flight to Miami had one hour delay so the rental wouldnt keep my car or even give me an alternative solution. So I contacted Holidaycars and after 5 days I got a response. Actually a response that they couldn't help me either or have another solution. So I lost my damn $350. Never ever again Holidaycars. YOU SUCK!!!

Avoid - book directly! When booking the website said the fee was fully paid with no excess insurance purchased but when I arrived I had to pay another 200 euro to rent the car and no excess cover was not included.

Do not use this company, I paid for a hire car, on arrival I had to wait 35 mins for other customers being dealt with, when I finally got to discuss collection of the car I was told I would need to pay a holding fee of £1,500 on my credit card, this was not detailed in the terms and conditions or vehicle voucher that was sent through with the confirmation, when I produced the terms and conditions showing no mention of the £1,500 credit card fee they would not allow me to take the car unless I paid this, I called the company to cancel but as I was now over the time of collection due to waiting for other customers and then the dispute around the credit card fee I was now over the collection time by 40 mins so couldn't cancel the hire car. Disgraceful service and now trying to get a refund for a car I was not provided with.

MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE THEN THEY PROMISED + NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL. Rent through Holidaycars.com = 266 EUR. Total result on spot = 441 EUR. They promised that if we buy their insurance we could pay by debit card. On the spot it turned out that the car company does not accept this and we have to buy their insurance - so we paid for the insurance twice, the car company wanted another 175 EUR more. No possibility of an arrangement - the car company didn't care and Holidaycars.com - just for sure - they don't have a phone number to call on. NEVER AGAIN - both broker and car hire company

Never trust this company. It does not support and withdraws money from your credit card without permission in cooperation with the car rental company.

Stay away from this company. Nothing but a travelers nightmare. We rented through Cancun Mexico, Skyscanner, Purchased cancelation insurance. Upon arrival at the airport the luggage was extremely late due to the power outage issue. After we picked up our luggage we went out to the car rental area and to our dismay were told there is no such company at Cancun airport. We were told there was not shuttle for them. No one knew about this company or their service. The situation is frustrating.. we contacted Holiday Cars, we were unable to cancel as I was told it was too late after only only 90 minutes after our arrival. We were never given anyother information that there was another agency involved. We were under the impression this was a car rental company. We have explained this in multiple emails Only to be repeatedly denied coverage on our cancelation. They way this company advertised on Skyscanner is they were a company on the prenises of the airport. We would have never booked with a company outside of the airport. We were never given any information regarding the actual name of any car agnecy. This company probably picks up unsuspecting travellers kidnaps them and robs and kills them or puts them into sex slavery. This company is a scam and they should be shut down.

I booked a car (prepaid) and it was cancelled without notice. When I called the store, I was informed that they did not know that the reservation was prepaid, precisely because I argued such prepayment and they said that they were not aware of any payment to them. I tried to call DC at the time but i always got a messasge to call later. According to them, the booking was not canceled solely because of the delay, but because it had not been paid, despite the fact that I had already paid the amount to discoverycars.

Beware of renting car from Holidaycars.com. They rob your off your money. I recently booked a rental car for 15 days but my arrival was delayed by 24 hours and they refused to give me the car for the remaining 14 days. The customer service is totally substandard. There is no phone contact, only email. Not possible to talk to someone. No access to any manage if you are dissatisfied with the customer service. If you don’t want your vacation to be ruined DONOT RENT CAR FROM Holidaycars.com

I had a reservation of a rental car in HolidayCars.com in beginning of year 2000. Since the COVID-19, My flight was cancelled, so there is no way to pick up the rental car at the place I reserved. And I had to cancelled the rental car in HolidayCars without my will. Then they are supposed to refund but instead of that they kept the money as credit. I asked to refund right away by email, since I had no idea when I can use such credit next time and even asked what if your company is bankrupt. However They never reply at all. I tried to use this year the credit somehow forcing my situation and I made reservation there. I checked by email if my credit was used for this time, but they never replied to me. I even called the company and left my phone number, but still didn’t call me back at all. I tried to call again and again and could finally ask my credit but they didn’t clearly explained at first but when I really accused, they finally transferred the phone to the section which can explain about my credit. They finally said the company was bankrupt in 2021, they didn’t event notice about bankruptcy at all that time. And they said they cannot refund me at all since different company took over HolidayCars now. No matter what the situation was, they shouldn’t use the customer’s credit at any reason. It doesn’t matter their bankruptcy for customers that is only the issue of HolidayCars and BookingMonkey. Even though It isn’t my fault why they t could take money from me. They are imposter or thief. Very unreliable company and thief. I will never use this company and Swiss company. Big liars.

This company is completely unreachable. I needed to make a slight change to a reservation for covid reasons and the car rental company was ok with it but I was obligated to cancel the reservation because it was impossible reach them !! They just never answer. After many days calling and waiting on the line without any answer I finally got an answer by email saying they didn't care and they'd just keep my money. Too bad 1 star it's the lowest i can give them cause I'd gladly give less.

I rented a car with insurance and refund on this website on 29 April. When I arrive in Lisbon on May 9 to take the car to the airport, I go to the Hertz stand and they tell me they cannot find my booking in the computer system. After 3 hours, they find the reservation and when it's time to use my bank card, the machine doesn't accept. So I end up giving up. When I get back to Paris I contact the company to get a refund, because I didn't get the car. The first time they reply to my email and ask for proof of the rental car and the plane ticket. I then send all the documents and they never reply to my emails. This company is a farce, a hoax, a fraud. Never rent a car from this company because you will have problems. I have insurance on my bank card so I got my money back but I will never rent a car from this fraudulent company again.

Shocking. Had to pay double the damage waiver as the third party company did not honour holidaycars waiver insurance. Do not trust this company.
