The customer service has really gone down the drain for Amazon Canada. You can't talk to anyone on the phone anymore. I tried the call me option but I was on hold then disconnected with a message saying due to technical difficulties they weren't able to connect me to an agent on the phone. No choice but to go through live chat. Used live chat 3x now and they weren't good experiences. The first time I talked to chat was because I wasn't able to connect Prime through Telus, where I bought a bundle for streaming services. The person I spoke to through live chat had broken English, which I don't ever complain about because I am a non-English native speaker too, but if you're going to have Chat as the only customer support available, then grammar and syntax is important in order to inspire confidence in your customers that you understand the issues we're asking help for. So basically, the person I spoke to the first time gave me the impression that he only pretended to "help" and look for a solution but was actually just stalling for time pretending to help. Everything he said did not match what I was talking to him about. He then just told me that he will give me a refund, which made no sense at all because I didn't want a refund and would just like my Prime account to connect through Telus. So I decided to just say okay and ended the chat because we were going nowhere. After a few hours, I was able to resolve the issue I was having in connecting Prime in the Telus bundle and I fixed it all by myself with no help from Amazon support. So this means that I would now just pay for Prime through Telus, which I have already paid for this month. By the way, the agent said he will issue me a refund but there's no evidence of it and instead, a few days later, I got a notification from my credit card that I was charged for a Prime membership directly from Amazon Prime. So I went and tried to get customer support again to get a refund for this because I've already paid through Telus. Again, cannot connect to a real person on the phone so chat it is. Now, the person I spoke to also had broken English which scared me now that he would not understand what I wanted. And I was right, it was difficult for the person to understand that I was charged by Amazon for Prime membership. He just kept saying that my Prime is now third party which is Telus and I kept telling him that yes, I activated that Telus Prime but one day later, Amazon Prime still charged me directly. He finally just said that if it will be automatically refunded within 3-5 business days. Well, guess what, it's been two weeks and there's no sign of a refund on my credit card. So again, I contacted support and of course, technical difficulties and was sent to chat. This is the third person now and I'm beginning to see a pattern on their wording, it's as if they're copy pasting ready made responses in the chat and some of those are incorrect grammar. It is really frustrating. Again, this person said, your account is through third party. Like hello, from the very beginning, I had already typed the whole explanation that I was charged directly and I even provided the ID# of the charge or the invoice number. So I had to keep repeating myself and told the person to check the Order ID# which was the charge I was trying to refund. Okay, so they said they will refund it. And I said, I really hope so because it's not the first time I was told. And this person assured me they fixed it. Well, we'll see by next week. But this is really the worst customer service ever. And you can't even review the service after a few days which is when you'll find out if the issue was actually resolved!

I've had no problems for years then all of a sudden every package is being shipped with Intelcom since a week ago. I've placed 10 orders in that time and had to contact Customer Support for each as they all get labelled 'Undeliverable' and returned without ever making it to me. I've had 3x Amazon Customer Service Reps assure me they wouldn't be shipping with Intelcom and it wouldn't happen again so I reordered and when I get the notice of shipment... it's Intelcom and within a day the package is on it's way back to the Warehouse marked as 'severely damaged'. I'm heading to BestBuy or Memory Express...or Aliexpress. Anywhere but Amazon.

Amazon will NOT let you post a review if they don't like what you have to say about them. Beware.

Amazon service is becoming scary to the point of Buyer Beware. There is no consistency between the information from different agents on the same topic. Therefore, the client my not receive the refund or free return shipping which another agent had assured would happen. Some agents simply refuse to follow printed information provided by Amazon on its return labels. Amazon has an integrity problem.

Placed order of product which only declared regular shpg charge. Within a couple days informed 'undeliverable", no specifics stated. And they declared order cancelled, with refund upcoming. Will not waste time in future initializing customer service, since the actual utility is contrary to implied service options ! Just their version of a 'chatbot' , with no option to input exactly why you're contacting, "customer service", just a series of questions with only restrictive multiple-choices !! Decided to attempt "buy it again" . Ya would think since their system stated undeliverable and full refund of course stated incoming, that they would hope for customer recovery after delay in product purchase by not charging for shpg. and implement faster delivery option for "buy it again", due to their system declaring "undeliverable" of a product that was disclosed via shpg. history, as being from a u.s.-based warehouse and actually making it up to eastern Canada !!! So ya would think, auto' free/faster shpg. when customer has chosen to still buy the product via amazon Canada.

This has been happening ever since ive tried to order my first thing on Amazon I live in appartment building with a security door and no buzzer I leave instructions to leave the package at the door. And they show up half the time they don't even get out of thier vehicles and say they are unable to deliver my package even tho I complain every time I even leave my phone number and tell them to text when they get here nope its always undeliverable. Stop hiring idiots as delivery drivers 😤

Recently I purchased a Pelonis oil filled space heater. Paid full price ($157.00) but received a used product which is sold for $88.00. Provided a review on their product review site. No action was taken. The product insulation regifoam was missing on the top part. The bottom part of the regifoam was broken. The wheel nuts weren't together, it was separated (3 in one pouch, 1 was out lose withe unit). The box was heavily scotch taped showing signs of a returned item. Yet, Amazon charged me full price. I am a prime customer and if they treat me like this, imagine how they would treat a non prime customer. Disappointed.

Search your item from a prime account (supposed to be free delivery) then search the same item without a prime account and watch in amazement as the item price is always lower without prime. They add in the delivery cost to the item itself!

We used to use this platform to sell our products on Amazon, now we don’t. This is the worst company to use to sell our products. They steal from you, they don’t listen to you, they are so outdated on support. Stay away from a company like this. You can find most items for much cheaper from websites as Amazon charges at least 20-40% markups. Retailers cannot afford that major loss and just raise their prices to adjust for the Amazon fee. It’s not worth the time and headache.

Amazon delivery and customer service is non existence. Waiting all day long for nearly 1500. Dollar order and thr lazy driver didn't have the brains to get out of the vehicle and ring the door. No sense at all. Lazy incompetence. Customer service doesn't exist and what there is you have to pay for. Amazon has now lost another customer. I have no doubt they could care less.

Amazons free delivery isnt free! Search a product without an amzon account, the item price will be lower than the same exact product you search with a prime account. The prime account adds the delivery price into the item itself so it appears free but ypure paying full delivery. Amazon is lying to its customers. Unbelievable

I been a Amazon user since 2013 and as of 2024 i am no longer a supporter of amazon nor will they get my hard earnings. I decided to make a purchase from my account on a Xbox series X, with same payment method i use many times, i even paid $11.30 for next day shipping cause i need it the next day for the long weekend. i received a confirmation email and order number at 12:53 pm then at 1:00 pm another email saying my account was use for a suspicious activity and i should change my password, i found it a lil odd and thought it might be a scam, i did not want to open it. Next i said to be sure let me check my account order on the app, then it said I needed to login, so i log in then there was no order number or recent purchase for the item i made, i called Amazon and the Representative he was not helpful or professional, could not help with the issue, just only tell me my account had a suspicious activity and someone will call me in the next 24 Hrs, i ask him is there a superior i could talk to he said no, i ask is there another representative i could talk to he said no, i hung up and i got someone els on the line, she was more information, even verified me through my cell phone number, bit still nothing she could do to help with issue at hand and insist i have to wait for a call in next 24 nor could she explain why this was triggered in my account that i been using on a basis with the same debit card. After Amazon wasted my time and was not reliable in this time around i will not be using them in the future, since i don’t count as a valuable customer i will take my Money Elsewhere.

Serious delivery issues with driver(s) Had a delivery between 4:00am-8:00am. I was up in my kitchen at 4:30am, and see a flashlight shining through my dining room window, this is at the side of my house, no reason for anybody to be there.I go over to see what is going on, and through the living room window a see a man standing there. I run to door was about to unlock and then thought that was a bad idea. I had no idea if there were multiple ppl outside. Also I am female so I don’t know what would have happened. I yelled for my husband and he ran downstairs and we opened front door to see driver leaving my driveway. My delivery is on the porch. Driver took picture of parcel and posted at exact time he was casing my home. I call non emergency police line and waiting to be contacted to fill out report. later in the morning I called Amazon my complaint will be sent to the people who handle that area of complaints. The rep said sorry for the hassle, I said hassle are you kidding me this was scary not even close to a hassle. She was young and was using the standard comments lol. I am hoping I can alert people to not use the early morning 4am onward delivery option it gives the driver the opportunity to case our houses, in darkness while we sleep.

I just came from Canadian Tire and they sell the Scrub Daddy products at 55% LESS than Amazon! This is price gouging to me. Even the sponges are 50% less at Canadian Tire as their REGULAR price while Amazon enjoys a considerably HIGH mark up! I am canceling my Amazon account today! You need only go to canadiantire.ca as this site won't let me upload the receipt to prove it.

Sharp decline in service recently, think I'm going to cancel my Prime membership. They changed their return process, no more UPS, and since I'm mobility challenged my only real option is to go with at home pick-up. This would be great if they ever atually picked up. Instead they string you along until 9pm and the send you a notice that your pick up has been rescheduled for the next day. This goes on for several days sometimes and happens almost every time. Today I called customer service because it was day 2 of waiting, 3 pm, and I wanted a shower, crazy, I know. They said to leave the 2 items at the door and not worry about it. So, 2 items in one box at the door and they only picked up one of the items. Did I mention it has become almost impossible to speak with a person in customer service? Chat is just prefilled boxes and if you can find the call me box you once again get AI that doesn't offer you the opportunity to speak to a person. Bonus hint, if you say speak to a person, it will put you through but you have to know that going into the call. The person I spoke to was pleasant but just added another scheduled return even though I said I had a medical appointment. As for Prime video, I haven't even watched it for weeks. The shows I was watching suddenly came with a price tag above what you pay for membership. Anything left is garbage. I bought one movie that I will probably lose if I cancel my membership but there doesn't seem to be any useful benefits left. I can only assume all of this is due to poor management and not enough labour dollars going to the people that actually do the work.

It's fine as long as all goes well but it's virtually impossible to get in touch with them if you need customer service BEFORE you've placed an order. None of the 'help' links work, they just take you in circles and you can't find a phone number, email address or chat button to save your life.

They didn't. I had a problem with a seller and Amazon emailed me to say they were taking care of it which they didn't The product was mislabeled and all I wanted was a replacement of the right color. I ordered holographic and they sent me a mislabeled can of silver paint. Amazon has not replied in any shape or form. I'm thinking they don't care about their customers even though there's other places out there that I could buy my products from. I think that's what I'm going to do. After all the money that I spent at Amazon you think they help me out over a can of paint but they don't seem to care. By Amazon hello Etsy. PS your star thing doesn't seem to work so I give you zero Stars.
