“I have just had a new porch fitted.
The service was excellent and I am very pleased with the result.
The salesperson, fitters and Sue on the end of the phone were particularly helpful.”
“Terrible experience with Anglian Home Improvements. I placed an order with them on 16th June 2024, with the understanding that a surveyor would contact me within a few days to schedule a survey. However, after waiting 10 days, I received a message that my survey wouldn’t be scheduled until 23rd July—over a month after my initial order.
Due to this frustrating delay, I contacted their surveyor and customer service to cancel the order. Both assured me the order was cancelled and that my £249 deposit would be refunded within 28 working days. Despite multiple follow-up emails, Anglian has ignored my requests and insists my order wasn’t canceled until 1st July, which is untrue. Their customer service has been dismissive, giving only vague acknowledgments and failing to provide any resolution.
This entire process has been misleading and incredibly frustrating. It’s now been months, and I still haven’t received my refund. Extremely disappointed and would not recommend Anglian Home Improvements to anyone.”
“Just a query..... when asking if they would be able to replace conservatory french doors, I was told they would have to replace the roof too. They had not seen the work to be carried out..... but knew they had to replace the roof! I may be old, but certainly not an idiot!!!!”
“Your sales people saw my dad who is in his late 70’s and insulin dependent and spent a lengthy time sellling him windows for £15000 in May 2024 to his bought council house. Promised to keep him informed of the progress but never did once he paid £3000 deposit. Not one telephone call or letter received. No contact details, nothing. Then a letter that looked very unprofessional with no clarity stating the order was being cancelled and the deposit would be refunded. Refund received but not the full amount. The whole order was not cancelled by you but part of it, breaking your contract. My dad has been so stressed over the past 5 months and had had to make many calls to you with promises of returned calls from the appropriate person, but never did. The order had gone over the time it was said the job would start. Eventually my dad went to his bank and got a full refund back by raising a dispute. However, you have contested this as the cooling off period had passed and are now taking my dads money back. It is you that have dragged this out and given false hope to an ill man. The company admitted they have made errors and informed my dad they had sacked the original person who sold the windows to him, along with unnecessary scaffolding and attempting to charge extra for the distance they would need to carry the windows to the property from the van! The company and all that work it should be thoroughly ashamed of yourselves. Disgusting. My dad worked hard as a tradesman for his pension just to have it stolen by you. I hope that everyone of you in this company experience such stress and loss in your lives that caused my dad to suffer.
DO NOT USE THIS SELFISH HEARTLESS COMPANY OR LET ANYONE YOU KNOW USE THEM.”
“PLEASE NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. Just a big company taking a lot of money for cheap installation with no care for the customer or their property, no attention to detail and zero pride in their work. My property has been damaged beyond belief. I expected a bit of damage around walls and render, but not furniture, wooden flooring, concaved sink unit, broken kitchen tiles, a widow leak, various chunks out of walls and sills - most of which they have tried to hide with sealer. When I complained I was told told the damage was there before and I am lieing. I followed up wIth a call where a manager called Adam Alexander pretended he did not know who I -or my property address- was. Someone eventually came around, and at first pretending they couldn't see any damage, admitted it. When gone , even though they had seen it - they asked for pictures. For weeks they ignored my emails and then they said they had not received the pictures (all lies - I had adhered to every picture they asked for and resent the pictures numerous times. Only when I copied in head office, he said oh yes I got the pictures. I have still not had response to my actual email and what will be done about the damage. When Thet came around they said this would have to go through liability insurance if the £50 offered was not enough. I agreed. They are now still just ignoring me again. Just a big company , charging to much for zero customer care - its just disgusting. PLEASE PLEASE NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. I had my windows fitted in August, it is now October and they are still ignoring me and denying damage, even though I agreed we would go through liability insurance. They are a big company preying on hard working people and they think by wasting their time they will get away with it. They are EXTREMELY unprofessional and ripping people off. It has cost me £17k for 2 doors& 4 windows. I paid for extras on the doors and they did not fit ANY of them until I fought and fought. They have still not fitted the security chain I have paid for. This has caused me a lot of unnecessary stress-I work full time and paid for what I thought was a prestigious company as I do not have time to mess around. I work hard to keep my property nice and saved for 3 years to get new windows and doors”
“Scammed by the salesman from Everest for £4500 for 2 top of the range doors and Yale locks, what was fitted where basic doors and locks care of Anglia windows, court action and the bank and now involved to get our money back.
Order number so they know its a real review s130427021”
“Never buy Anglian doors, they are not fit for purpose, we get slugs and snails in at night, the handle is wobbly, key takes half an hour to get into the lock, hope I never have to make a quick exit! Also horrendous price, we should have used our local window fitter who has fitted the rest of our window
We also were pestered by Anglian for months after to sell us more windows, couldn’t get rid of them. Just had to call for a service call to deal with the slug problem, but still had a snail in”
“My 75 year old mother in law was having trouble with her front door so went to Anglian to get a new one fitted. Once agreed we waited 4 months for it to be fitted.
Once in the new door was fine but left a mess round the door so wasn’t a great finish. So now it’s been 4-5 months and the lock has gone and we can’t unlock the front door so my mother in law is a prisoner in her own home as the front door is the only way she can get in and out the house and the step at the back is too big. Anglian are saying they can’t come out and fix it.
This is disgraceful as my mother in law needs a walker to get around and has appointments at the hospital for cancer check ups that she can’t get out too.
I am absolutely disgusted with there lack of compassion for an elderly lady”
“Unprofessional, Aggressive, and Deceptive Practices.
I recently sought a quotation for 12 windows from Anglian Home Improvement and was thoroughly disappointed with the entire experience. From the outset, the first point of contact, a sales representative, was condescending and aggressively pushy. Despite my lack of interest, he proceeded to ask invasive personal finance questions, which felt inappropriate and bordered on unsolicited financial advice—especially when suggesting how I could "afford" their extortionate quote of over £14,456.00.
When I made it clear that the price was unaffordable and that I no longer wanted their business, the sales representative’s tone shifted from pushy to outright rude, ending the conversation with a highly unprofessional remark: "Watch out for those drones." This was in response to my mentioning earlier that I served in the Armed Forces—a completely unnecessary and disrespectful comment.
Days later, I was contacted by the regional manager, who claimed they wanted my business and were willing to lower the price to £9,613.53. When I asked why they were comfortable with a nearly £5,000 price reduction only after I refused, they had no response. This suggests that the original quote was inflated, which I find both deceptive and unethical.
Even after making it abundantly clear that I have no interest in their services and explicitly requesting to be removed from their contact lists, I continue to receive phone calls from different numbers, text messages, and emails. Their persistence is nothing short of harassment.
In summary, my experience with Anglian Home Improvement was characterised by aggressive sales tactics, unprofessional behaviour, and deceptive pricing practices. I would strongly suggest against engaging with this company.”
“I have been corresponding with Anglian since 20th June concerning a repair of a window. I've phone numerous times and been told the same excuse we will email you haha still waiting . This company needs to address who manages what if it was me I would get rid of them all an start again . Shambles.”
“Arranged appointment for them to come for a quote and didn’t show. Gave them benefit of the doubt and they said they would come at 2pm Saturday. Again no show. After the 3rd attempt at arranging appointment . They didn’t show again. Can’t believe we gave them the time or day. Wouldn’t trust them at all. Stay well Clear. Unprofessional behaviour and shocking customer service. Dodged a bullet there”
“Had my credit card duplicated the day after I paid a deposit. Area manager refused to return my calls after I initially raised it. Logged 3 complaints with customer service, never heard back. Back doors are constantly slipping. I have had 3 separate callouts for them to fix. Prices are based on how the sales person is feeling. 8k quote dropped to 5k if I purchased there and then. Dropped to 4k a week later. Installation carried out by a 3rd party local trader.”
“I had Anglian come to my house to give a quote. They quote 12k for 2 windows and 2 doors. Suddenly when I start saying no the price drops over 50% to 5k… so where do they make these prices up. The sales person continues to say this offer is only valid now unless you sign now. If I leave then it’s gone and I won’t be coming back. I said I want to think about it and look at other options and he would still drop price and say you need to do this today. Creating extreme and uncomfortable pressure in my house. I asked for new sales person and the same guy turned up, so we shut door. Unacceptable.”
“We didn't have a bad experience, we just didn't have any experience. We had confirmation of time and date waited for 30 mins, nothing.
We called anglian who told us no one is booked to come out, no apology for wasting our time. But when he offered to rebook another appointment we declined the offer as we don't want to waste our time again.
Their loss as we were return customers and it was just going to be a paperwork exercise. Never again and no more recommendations.”
“You maybe thinking of getting your house double glazed but before you engage Anglian windows remember one thing if you need any replacement parts like Door Handles etc.you can only get these from Anglia at extortionate prices!”
“Asked for a quote. Appointment arranged, then had 3 phone calls within 2 days to bring appointment forward. Fair enough but... the sales guy was very pushy.... almost couldn't get rid of him, he was so determined to convince me they were the only company who could do the job. But what REALLY annoyed me was after he'd left, some other guy called, telling me not to consider other companies as Anglian are "the only company to make bespoke windows in the UK" Those were his exact words and that's an outright lie. How dare they state that! If I could give zero score I would!!”
